View Full Version : MP3 Ringtone Patch for O2 XDA mini / dopod 818 / i-mate JAM
.:RUMI:. 23rd March 2007, 08:22 I don't know why I didn't see this earlier, but if you are an O2 XDA mini, dopod 818, i-mate JAM or HTC Magician user, you probably know that your Pocket PC doesn't support MP3 ringtones by default. Fortunately there is someone out there that understands your pain and has brought this fix to life. MP3 Ringtone Patch by Bong's Work Shop allows you to select any MP3 in File Explorer as a ringtone simply by tapping and holding or "right clicking" and selecting "Set as Ringtone." It's a simple fix and works flawlessly.
NB :: Please Change the file Extension Name to .cab while Transfering the file to your PPC.
Tested in my XDA working Fine !!!!

No dude just download the attachment and change the extension of the downloaded file to .CAB and install it in ur ppc! :???:

i have an imate jam (new with 128 mb ram) and i CAN set mp3 ringtones w/o any s/w aid.
I can set them right from the phone settings

I was able to install it and i now get an option on to set MP3 as a ring tone on my O2 XDA 2. However when i do that i does nothing an MP3 files are not set as Ringtone.
Is there anything else that needs to be done additionally, or it does not work on XDA 2
