i tried updating my itunes with the newer version 7.1. when i tried to run this new itunes d/w setup it gave me an error saying - cant uninstall previous version. then i tried to uninstall older itunes thru add-remove program.the uninstallation ran from there but the itunes is still there(all the icons are there).Now the older version is not running and newer version is not getting installed. So guys is there any application/remover which can completely remove itunes so that i can start fresh like we have for norton antivirus which completly remove norton no matter wht problem is there with the uninstallation

have you restart the computer before begin installing the newer version?
sometimes it helps..

Use an uninstaller like "ur uninstaller pro" and remove the itunes completely.

it may be that you have to remove it from the registry
