Candy[MAN] 12th April 2007, 01:15 Try on memory card uninstall 1st then reinstall
out of interest what phn model u tryin to install it on anyway?
Got it working. What I did was install it to the phone. Then I got the 6.01 files and copied the VOICES and TOMTOM folder (one can delete the Munich.bin file in that folder) to the memory card.
After that, ran the program and all works.
Installed and tested on both the N73 and the N95 (using external BT GPS as it doesn't work with the internal GPS module).
brooklyn 12th April 2007, 01:18 dont suppose this has n95 support?
TomTom navigator 6 works perfect on the N95, also in landscape mode, you will still have to use a BT_Gps as there is no software update yet?? for tomtom to see the built in gps in the Nokia_N95.
(ps)_as the Nokia_N95. is not yet supported by tomtom!!!!!
Candy[MAN] 12th April 2007, 01:21 Also works on the E61...however, the letter "J" does input correctly when trying to activate maps (for those in which the letter "j" is needed for entering the code). Therefore, once cannot activate maps if "j" is needed.
Sticking with version 6.01 on my E61 as no activation is needed for maps. But this version, 6.02, works great on the N73 and N95.
Dansco 12th April 2007, 01:48 Cheers Sim, yet another great upload mate ;)

Maps 660.1223 are without this information for compatibility with TT5 version of the soft.
And for all devices with version 6 of the soft (GO 510, Navigator 6 etc) best map is 660.1219
Check what version of the soft has TT One v2
if it is 5.xxx you have to use 660.1223, if 6.xx - the best is 660.1219
And best way when you are not sure what will work is always is to test.
Copy map 660.1219, try it, if it works - happyend , if not, try 660.1223
herrfox 12th April 2007, 13:38 but..i have nothing problem with my map!!and then 1223 is more update than 1219..is it correct?thank you
naibmys 12th April 2007, 13:41 You cannot install it over the last cracked version by BiNPDA as they have different UID's, so if you have the BinPDA 6.01 version uninstall it first - the old 6.01 BinPDA version has a 0xA UID while this version has a 0x2 UID - if anyone cannot sign it I can create a self-signed 0xA version of this version (like BinPDA did with the last version as I dont think TomTom uses any priviledged API)

naibmys 12th April 2007, 17:02 my mistake, this version can no longer be self signed, seems like v6.02 uses a priviledge API (prob for one of its new features) so u can only sign it yourself, sorry for raising ppl hopes - though signing is very easy process, just check the sticky in this forum.

The second one is the same version and it has the sis file!!! Sis file is in the: ttn.symbian_6.020\private\10202dce\TomTom-NAVIGATOR.sis. Why the sis file is there? Because it should install automatically. On my phone TomTom was automatically installed.
The only diferrence between this 'new' version and http://www.ipmart-forum.com/showthread.php?t=147749&highlight=TomTom+6.02 is that this 'new' version has to be signed!

in that case I'm going back to 6.01, and wait for proper crack - got over 10 maps installed and cant be bothered to activate each one, doubt that there has been many changes from 6.01 to 6.02

If you get a security or certificate error when trying to install an application, it's probably because your phone's security settings only allow signed applications to be installed.

Start by opening the Application Manager (also called Manager) Choose Options > Settings
Change the setting Software installation to All
That's it. You should be able to install apps now.

Genie 17th April 2007, 15:59 I am a bit confused guys. I downloaded the unsigned version and installed it after signing it. It went through the installation fine. When I checked for the Icon, it was present but when I tried it just came up with the spash screen which kept going on and on. Now there seem to be two issues I need some clarification on. In version 5.2 I also had a NEW contacts icon, which I cant see on my New N95, which is my first issue. Some in this forum said press "GO TO" then contacts, GOTO command does not exist on the N95. Secondly I transferred the Australia Map to the card. Do I need to transfer the files posted in this thread on the memory card as well. If so which ones and what should the folder structure look like?
I have these folders and files
voices 14.7 MB
TomTom 2.6 MB
sys 0.9 MB
resource 0.1 MB
private 0.0 MB
install.bif 0.0 MB
What I am concerned about is if I am installing something I signed then should I replace the file
TTMOBILE.exe 0.9 MB
which can be found under sys\bin\TTMOBILE.exe with something else or should I just leave it?
also this file. should I replace it
\private\10202dce\TomTom-NAVIGATOR.sis 0.0 MB
with the one I signed?
thanks
thanks

For whom who may be interested, the problem was the use of an old certificate request tool, that didn't allow me to add all the 13 application capabilities that are required for such kind of program as Tom Tom

Keep version 6.01 on your E61. Reason why is because with 6.02 you need to activate your maps and the letter "J" doesn't work with TomTom and the E61. Once you press "J", you get "#" instead. Meaning that if an activation key for a certain maps contains the letter "J" in it, you won't be able to activate it because the letter will not input in.

RamsesD 20th April 2007, 21:43 what means "just sign"??
=simcard= 20th April 2007, 22:23 what means "just sign"??
Application signing is a way of adding a tamper-proof "digital signature" to a software application. It is an industry-standard technique and is used in phones containing Symbian OS to ensure that when an application is installed into the phone it is unchanged from when it was signed, proving that it has not been 'hacked' or maliciously altered. For Symbian Signed, a further condition of signing is that the originator's identity has been verified so signed applications can be tracked back to their source.
I hope this helped a bit. More info here:
