My N70 dead after flashed, when I push the power key it display only "NOKIA" logo for 3second and then disappared. Is there any way to flash dead N70 with USB cable?

use nokia update again make sure it reads the phone and download the file again and flash your phone it will work!!! my N73 was dead nothing was coming on got this info from a friend and it work believe me it will work

Thanks you, This way I also tried it but Nokia Updater can not read the phone because my N70 doesn't boot when I click power on.

do your backlight for the lcd come on? if so keep trying take your cord out and put it back in keep trying this over and over till your pc read's the phone!!! took me 30mins for my phone to read! so keep trying that usb cord.

I think no way to flash dead phone by using cable accept box bro....... Pc cannot detect you phone......

your phone is not fully dead!! but if you can't get that trick to work then u will need to use the box. your phone got lil life meaning there's no need for dead flashing

u can try the 3 buttons again, the *, call and 3 button.. then press the power.. this method of master reset is different for N-series with the rest of the symbian phone like the 6 or 7 series, it would not show the reformatting word on the screen, there is a trick in it, you shld try afew times till the screen show nokia with the sound then the selection of city timing, that shows the phone is fully reset..

I had in the past the same problem with my n70:it freezed on nokia logo;the only way is a nokia center or a box,master reset will not work,no way to communicate with pc,no way to flash a n70 dead phone.

The command works,the fact is that if the phone freeze on nokia logo you cannot do the master reset!!!

Sadly 82ghost82 there's no solution other than proceeding with one box.
Flashing phones it's like flashing bioses in PCs, if it goes fine it's all ok, but in case of fail you need external help (such boxes in Phones or in PCs eeprom programmers) and you will solve your problem. Sadly this is an expensive solution if you buy your own. Nokia Point can solve problem but if you have changed your product code or something strange and your warranty period is over maybe you can have also troubles or extra fees to do a flash. Otherwise if you like i can help you...

hello...m rele in need of help. While flashing my nokia n72 with phoenix v152 an error came saying adl loader does not start. This seems to be a very common problem. But i didnt find any solution yet. However, after this error, when removed n reinsterted da battery n started da phone it only shows up da backlight. No nokia logo comes and da phone doesnt start at all. Only da backlight keeps on. Is my phone dead. If it is pls tell me how can i revive it back. If its not thn tell me how can i get it switched on. Pls...i dun hav any box or stuff...only a usb n phoenix. pleeease!!!

Doing upgrades with phoenix is a high risk procedure, especially for newest phones and some old types also. I have really successfully done it only with N80, problems with N70,6630...
Now you have to find a Nokia Point where to go, if you haven't changed your product code; you can find in alternative a "not official" Nokia Point, but i can't help you.

thnx gmphone...but whre i live...i dun have access to any person having a box nor i can buy it sumwhre.....even nokia service centre isinte anywhre near....is thre rele no sol yet!!..no software nuffin...m rele worried!!..:(

I read that you were able to downgrade the firmware for N80?? i have the upgraded my N80 to the lastest software thru NSU and i tried to downgrade using JAF. But JAF prompt me that it cannot prepare the phone for downgrade of firmware. I have successfully upgrade and downgrade N72 but not able for N80.

Please advise.

JAF people tell that their box is nor ready neither able to downgrade BB5 phones, and trying to do it is so dangerous for phone.
Many posts talk about killing phones.
I have never tried, and i won't do it! ;-)

It's rare that you need downgrading software phones... But if you want to try and make statistics i'll write down good phones (with which JAF version?)...

When i cited N80 i talked about upgrades, not downgrades...
