OPDA can you make run this app in silent mode (without icon in active tasks) ?

Edit

Can you add Phone.exe to whitelist list ?

disabled, LonelyCat had this in his post.

1.Sign it with your IMEI certificate.
2.Run and choose "Backgroud".
3.Use left selection key to reject phone calls.

rejecting and ending a call is basically the same right? maybe this will work. cheers!

edit: hey! now i can play my beloved battle city and not have to worry about exiting the app by accident when i press the red key by mistake while trying to run away from the enemy tanks. hahaha. :) i love this app!

No :) when call active and i wan't end call i must press options - end active call :( i think better add phone.exe to white list and when phone app active enable working red key again!

so this makes it a bit difficult to hang up a call then. :( however, this is a good and useful app. so will play with this one a bit. :) cheers!

Oh praise the Lord and OPDA!

This was most awaited after profile switcher, and thanx to LonelyCat for posting this! Repped up.

Tested and working fine in 3250. Red key doesn't end the call or reject it (left soft key does that function though). As Disabled said adding an exemption for it wouldn't hurt.

what a great application...i was just waiting for a thing like this...

One of the best apps ever for 3rd edition.

I'm only waiting for someone to sign it for me, as i don't have a PC for that

Here you go mate!

In the attached rar file find all the tools necessary to sign apps if you need it.

The app signed successfully but you still get certificate error, try installing after an hour so that the certificate file gets activated.

Try using PhoneBoot (from this forum) but you will still need to put it into the background. ;)

I don't see much need for this app but I'm glad it helps some people.

Glad to see you sobered down mate! ;)

Agreed. No use of this app unless playing a game or using an app you dont accidentally want to close on you... But still helpful.

Good tip about the PhoneBoot, now only need the developers to allow phone calls to be rejected with the red key.

Installed and working.Many thanks, dimbulb.rap.

I've tested the app and noticed if you enable Return to desktop, you press the red key and there's a delay slight longer than normal...
what the app does is run the idle.exe binary to make phone returns to standby screen. But i think the developer could change this behaviour, by only assigning red key to Standby application (instead trying to raising a new executable for Standby).I mean, make Redkey to become a shortcut for standby.Currently, for some applications like X-plore and IM+(that aren't closed by Red key by default), the application makes things to be slower, due to the small delay that happens after pressing the
Red key.

But no doubt the application is very good, specially for Opera's case, that sometimes user presses Red key instead C (Nokia N80) to delete texts in forms, and the whole thing is closed, causing user to have to start all over again...

Doer someone know where to contact the developer? Is he the user opda that frequents this very forum?

Wow! I see that you are much better at C than me, coz I could not find the string that loads when I press the red key. Should have tried harder I guess!

Has anyone tried to contact them? I remember when this app came out for the original S60 phones and loads of people were asking for this and other options but I guess they didn't get them done.:|

Nice work OPDA. I was so used to the old S60 version that V3 really annoyed me with the Red key Close app process.

However, I tend to agree with DANSCO that not everyone will find it useful. I would love to use it, but I would wait while it gets a little more refined. Its much too hard to use the phone now, and the app not bein a system app can close any time.

Ironically, the red key ends the app while it is running.

Nice job developers, but I would love for more features to be added.

Thanks once again.

It would be nice if it is system app.
Great app!

I use cCalc often.
The problem is that tis app exits only by pressing the red button!!!!
(the rigth soft \key chances the formula and the c key just clears the screen).
Any solution for this?

The same way you must exit many other apps - Options->Exit

Wow! I see that you are much better at C than me, coz I could not find the string that loads when I press the red key...Not absolutely.I wish i knew at least something about C.

What i did was the following: with Best TaskMan running in background in processes viewer, i pressed the Red key (NRC was also running in background, with Return to desktop active) and immediatelly pressed UP (shortcut i've assigned to BestTaskMan). Then it's possible to see idle.exe process appearing briefly.

Ah! I see.
I'm no better at C...
But I follow more conventional methods when testing apps. I do simulations on PC wherever possible...

Any luck contacting the developer?

How to install this thing? I can't get to install this on my N95:angry2:
When i tried to install unsigned files it says "certificate error"

Yes..., I know, don't tell me that I need to sign it myself, I already done that but still can't install and it says "access not granted", "unknown publisher" or something (I can't remember the exact word)

Please help, I'm in desperate need for this apps. Thanks before :ilove:

@OMeinGott...

Check setting in app manager...
Software installation set to all...
Online certificate check set to off...
Than try again...
If still not working than resign it with a new certificate...

Wow! That'squick one -=[tp12]=-, thank you very much.

Oh, I forget to mention that I already done before what you said but no luck either (apps manager install set to all & no online cert check).

And... yeah I've done that too, trying with 3 different certificate but still failed.
1st one 2048 key length, 2nd 1024 & 3rd 2048 again.:furious:

It's like I'm stuck in labyrinth here:sadly:

Ahh... I see now why I can't install this apps. I'm sure it's because I use self certificate not developer certificate. Guess I should PM some mod here to request one, because I don't have any private domain email address. :ashamed:
