Overview: Spb Mobile Shell is the first program a Pocket PC user needs to install. It dramatically improves the standard user interface and adds features that most users expect from a modern PDA phone.

Whats NEW is this version 3 Build 2862

1. Alarm/notifications don't fire or terminated early

2. Talk button works from Spb Contacts now

3. Bug with Weather plugin (double menu) is fixed

4. Minimize All in Task manager

5. Option to hide menu after a programs is started

6. Professional Now screen displays correct number of weeks

7. Days having appointments are shown in bold on professional now screen

8. The current date is shown with frame on professional now screen (to look different from selection)

9. Improved plugins support

10. Move weather on square professional Now Screen

1- SPBMENU>Settings>Customize Menu and check de box My Menu and realce this option, then... in Menu (bottom right) Menu Options and choose the options you want or stay the default Layout, >DONE


2- With My Menu realced... > MENU>Add... Menu ((if you want create a sub-menu where you go add many apps...until 6 apps (?))

3- With My Menu realced... > MENU>Add... Link (if you want add shortcuts to your apps) and Add...File if you want search for a specific file to put in your My Menu.

4- when you realce one file you add in sub-menus in My Menu... then you can Edit if you want change the icon for the app to another icon from SPB icons.

*** you can change the order on the tree of all menus (included your My Menu) and then... when you click on SPBMENU you have another icon (your My Menu) and the standard menus on the mobile shell on the posicion you order the tree (only the Start stay on center)... but my (My Menu) is on the top left where I want he stay (the 1ºfirst of my choice).

:idea: all functions can be mapped to hardware buttons. For example, the now screen or My Menu can be triggered by a hardware button.

Here is a plugin cab file.
When I ran it it added pocket informant to the list of items in the shell.
Just copy to your PDA and run.

problem with htc x7500 (advantage)

instals ok,
runs ok but after fidling a little with the now screen or the spb menus, the sound mutes totally, although the volume is maximum, only soft reset can make sound back to normal, but again the same thing happens.

any clues anyone??

i use this on an htc p3300 without probs. great stuff

reps up for the uploader.

Try on NOW screen on the top right you have one symbol the speaker with a % of sound, maybe is on 'mute' but if you click on this symbol you go to a sub-menu (On Active, Vibrate, Off). Make shure the On is Active.

:?: maybe you have another software run with profiles... check please!

I have problem sync my phone and the PC, Dopod 838pro, after download SPB Mobile Shell and including the download plugin cab file. The 838pro just hand and not moved at all and have to soft-restart. Please help to advice what I will need to do so as that sync

Can I install this version in Dutch language or is it only English ?

Only in English because is Beta stage and isn't on the SPB site already (is from a beta tester). When in final version is custom from SPB have many languages (like my main language Portuguese), so... you must wait, ok?!

4. No year number in Now Screen

Since a bug in plugins has been fixed it is recommended to uninstall SpbMenuPlugins completely before installing Mobile Shell and install the new SPB Menu plugins I add on the zip.file :arrow:(only after Mobile Shell is installed).

It works fine on my Atom Life. I love this program but only one thing I wonder is about memory usage from this program. I will test it again by remove it and see what's difference. Actually, I think I already addicted to this program.

Hi all, I have one problem. After installing SPB Mobile Shell on my HTC Tytn Messenger stopped working. Dd this happened to anyone else? Any clues how to solve this?
