And what do we have here? After the mass popularity of the original ‘SIMS’ nude patch, and of course not to forget the muted success of ‘Singles’ and ‘Singles 2’, Digital Jesters and Monte Cristo bring us 7-Sins touted as a sexy look at the mindset of the average testosterone fuelled single male. Like it or loathe it, nothing sells quite like sex and here’s another in a long line of average games to prove it.

To give the game some credit, the main story mode does offer some replayability for anyone desperate to know exactly what happens to the lead character. After the brief tutorial you land a job working in a fashion shop and must earn a certain amount of sales by utilizing as many sins as you dare. Basically that means shagging anyone that moves by sweet talking them and by asking the right questions, at the right time, and getting them to buy expensive items from the shop. Complete the shop level and you’ll move on (but essentially have similar missions to complete).

To help you in this quest (and the idea works throughout the game) pressing the F1 key will bring up some information about the person you are currently interested in. Once you know what excites the person it’s a simple case of matching that with what you talk about. Even if you get stuck common sense will usually help you choose something appropriate to say. As long as you take it slow and don’t rush the relationship then the meter will eventually rise from ‘first contact’ to the final gauge ‘passion’. The final thing you have to worry about in conversations is choosing when something is appropriate. For example, fondling the breasts of your prey will be entirely unacceptable in the ‘first contact’ stage of a relationship, but will be gratefully welcomed in the later ‘passion’ stages. The more topics (and actions) you pick correctly the higher the chance the relationship will reach a new level, reach a high enough level and your victim will do whatever you need them to do via a few more minigames. You’ll then move on in the game. Rinse, wash and repeat and you’ll be half way into mastering 7 Sins. Of course, there’s nothing quite as ‘queer as folk’ and even after studying a characters likes and dislikes you can still put your proverbial foot in your mouth. Later on these attributes will become hidden and will only be discovered after multiple conversations.

The mini games are the bread and butter of 7 Sins and the only really ‘challenging’ part of the whole game. Depending on the situation, key moments will trigger a mini game with success allowing you to continue with a conversation, and failure accounting for a loss of popularity with the person you were talking to. The mini games are fun at first and range from finding the g-spot to taking a quick perve under women’s skirts. The actual mini games may seem offensive or hard to imagine but rest assured that most of the time the actual title of the game bares very little resemblance to the actual puzzle you play. Finding the g-spot just entails clicking on certain places on a screenshot to reveal the picture underneath (if only finding the g-spot was that easy huh?).

it doesn't help.. somehow i manage to join the files using HJSPLIT.. and installed the game succesfully.. however, when i start the game it gives me this:
