Well done! We are all VERY impressed with what you achieved with the polish versions.

You mentioned you are working on a universal install set. Is it possible to make both (SOS and iPhone sets) available in the more commonly used English version?

And last question: After some time of use, and un-installing your install set, will the phone revert to its original state?

Just tried this on the P1i and mostly it works apart from the taskmanager icon (which appears as the USB connected icon) and the WiFi (which is blank)

Can anyone edit or confirm this works on the M600 / W950

I downloaded the Polish language from SE and uploaded it to my P990, then installed the SOS pack file but nothing happend. I found a icon in tools, the program starts but you cant do ne thing with it. I tried restarting but invain.

The iphone file is currupt and not getting installed.

it works only on polish software.. its developers are still working for it to run on universal software.. let's just wait for the developments.

Just go to your main menu select an icon, tap on "More" and change the icon with your preffered .PNG picture

My phone says the software version is R9EC001 or R4A04? but i dont really understand how the updates work for the branded phones because the update service keeps telling me that my phone has the latest software every time i try and update.:cry:

I dont mind that much about my firmware because im not finding much problems with it and it does all the stuff i want it too. I think the reason for it not finding an update is because im using a really old XP PC to update because the update service doesnt support Windows Vista on my laptop but when they release the vista version ill have another go then. :)

When you copy the icons from the phone to the PC, winXp locks them. You need to select all files - right button - properties - unlock files (remove the Read-Only check also). Then everything will be OK.

Done that, Mbmtools still saved a new file with nothing in it, 0kb size.
It only happened after I went and deleted windows temp files manually.

no it will not work on your w810.. but u can mod your w810 to boost the sound & install flash menus..

i install iphone alunchicon.mbm and system tray and everything black and white but when i connect usb cabal i don't have icon on main screen.I have W950.Please help and i hope that someone figure how to change at menu sms and everything :)

damn..its 26 august 2007, still no one can solve those 4 original icons!!, i guess just like some1 said (mmm..forget his name), why we can't change thos icons is because they are applications they are not folder icons, so to change them we need to "pull" the program from the phone then crack it with new icons then reinstalled to the phone, not enough just by changing the mbm file...hmmm
but i believe there must be a way...just like zepeer did..damn what is the different between polish and english firmware?
btw good works guys..

Zapper has told me that he is currently working on an english version of his software and i think that will work on all off our firmwares, tho after asking him a rough date of when this will be available he hasnt replied.

Has anyone tried installing the polish software on there phone yet? if so what was the outcome?

On the standby screen of the w950i two of my icons that are ment to be able to be changed seem to be locked by my operator and i can only edit the remaining three.

Does anyone here know how to unluck and change these icons or know were the png files would be saved on the phone so i can edit them myself.

u must hav seen the loading process during phone start up.....in this process the phone is reading the mem stick for the user data thus any file on the z drive gets replaced witht eh one on mem card

i already have the mbm tool, but thanks anyway. what i mean is how can you make the picture become black and white, or how can you mask a picture? do you use external software like photoshop cs2?

You can use photoshop to do that. First if you are using transparant image (png, gif) then make new layer and paint it black for background. And for the real image (that has picture) use filter>sketch>stamp. Put 0 (zero) on the light/dark balance and 50 to the smothness. After that save it in jpg format.
If you're using color background, copy base layer, mask the background then delete it. After that do the same method above.
Hope this help.

That's because I had problem using change color on bmp file in mbmtool. So I try to use jpg and no problem at all. But if you're not having problem, than I guest it's OK to use bmp too.

first extract rar file and copy/paste on your mem card and then install 3 or 4 files all .sis files and then start from menu/tools/gdesk

Consider that the icon you post like internet network it's used for the wi-fi on the i-phone. We have to put correctly a new icon for internet and use the wi-fi icon correctly.

A tip for those of you using Mac OS X with either a P1i or M600i who wish to apply icons (or any other changes come to that) without using a card reader.

This driver will allow you to mount your phone's M2 card on the desktop simply by using a USB cable.

befor saving copy all images in temp extract and copy them to temp and then save.try this it works for me.

I've tried the Polish stuf on my P1i. The theme doesn't work, the Alaunch works except the middle three and the .sis file neither. So it's really only polish-made.

Still, is there a way to change the middle icons? The polish did, so why not the rest of us?

after

reading this post
i've put in resource\apps , ALaunchIcon.mbm

and put under resource
LSBCONLIB
MPSAudioLIB
MPSPlaybackIconsLIB
ZSBLIB
ZSBMSGLIB
ZSBTELELIB


the result is the following:

but i've MANY problems with all the rest...

You can use mbmtool but You change only this icon who can change everyone. Zaper is my friend so I hadn't problem with this icons( add to phone ). Maybe too some time Zaper do apps for rest soft (not only for polish). I will try do that apps but only for italiano soft( but I don't know when).

Cheers, I'd rather prefer polish software to do this mod under windows..there are online polish->english translators with quite good accuracy,so it woudln't be a problem.

Anyway: I got a question: On wich drive should I put "MediaPlayerAppIcon.mbm"mbm file to see the change of main Mediaplayer icon in FO mode after restart? I've tried d: (memstick),the internal memory (C:),but none of them works. I guess I must place this modded mbm onto the nand drive's (Z:) resource/app folder,but have no clue how to do it. SwissManager can see only drives c: and d:. X-plore [Only registered and activated users can see links] can see drive z:,but I cannot figure out how to copy my modded mbm to z:/resource/app folder to overwrite the mbm that already exists there.

Hi,believe me,z: isn't the MStick...SM1.51pro states c: as the Nand drive (int.memory). d: as the memstick (original 64mb sandisk msduo pro) . X-plore says exactly the same except it is listingg drive Z: as the internal memory. The Z: drive is storing the UIQ3 OS itself,for sure.

If you've already done with appicon mod there is both resource/apps folders on both 3 drives!

I don't thinhk can copy these file to Z.I unsis file iphone_3d and in c\private\import\ have files with polish (kalenda , kameravideo).I think change name them.But i 'm finding
file control them.Maybe iPhone3D_reg.rsc in app and in other *.r27 it contain file name with polish

unfortunately, the font (called Shablon) is a russian font; i downloaded it from a russian forum. I've searched around but no other versions of this font exist. sorry.

however, if you want to use the default se p1i font, just delete the "font" folder in your memory stick "Resources" folder.

edit: Solved by deletin in resources everything that i copied except fonts folder, and it fixed this problem! :triodance:

Can one of you talented designers, port these p990i indicators over to the p1i. The set is from page 5 of this thread. When installed on my p1 they show incorrectly, ie usb symbol on taskmanager symbol etc. Battery shows fine though.

I'm useless with the MBM tool or else I would do it myself.

Hi, you need to see the temp directory of mbmtool,checking the properties of files. you need to save your own icons with ps,or gimp or similar software using the same file properties.Then you need to change the file in the mbm tools.

Brothers, am totally lost, i have Swiss manager pro installed (FYkI-For Your Kind Information). I made one Font folder also on my MMC, i tried replacing the fonts on my Z: drive from my MMC but it seems, even going thru so much reading am not able to get it right.

Do i have to take my MMC card out from the fone and then do it.

I would like to change the Activity Menu Icons and the System menu Icons on my p1i, I used the Iphone black Icons theme from here.

In the Systemmenu 4 Icons won't change ... I read that the Icons are for a English Phone only, how do I get the rest 4 Icons on my German phone changed ?

The Activity Menu Icons stay all on default :-(

you just have to change the path:
take the following files in your C:\resource\apps folder...

Agenda_loc.r03
ALaunch_loc.r03
Contacts_loc.r03 (.r03 stands for german language; Just take the
QCtrlPnl_Loc.r03 .rXX files, depending on your language)

Then use Hex Editor of X-plore, change the path "Z:\Resource\apps" to "C:\resource\apps" in all the above files. then restart ur phone.

(also u must copy all .mbm files to c:\resource\apps folder)

i just gave up using my own language, since i dont mind having it on english...now i don´t have to bother with those kind of problems :)

75% of icon has been changed not original icon and has no part of icon can't changed. my upload both ***_loc.rsc and ***.mbm.

Note again* pls unhide private folder before upload to phone (c:\resource\app and c:\resource\activitymenu) by xplorer or other filemanager and normal copy subfolder of d to memcard. have fun.

OK. I'm kinda screwed right now because after placing some menu icon files in C:\\Resource\\apps, my default media player has stopped working. Now I can't access videos and radio eventhough I have Walkman 2.0. The prompt "folder not found" keeps appearing everytime I try to access it. As far as I c an recall I've been extra careful and no unnecessary files have been replaced/deleted. So my last resort is to ask any of you who are still using the original P990 menu icons and have access to the private folders to please upload those files somewhere for me, I'll be eternally greatful
