In his wolf costume, Wild Dog is as tough as they come with a full arsenal of kicks, punches and special moves. Most enemies, on the other hand, tend to be less spectacular in their attacks but nonetheless can pack a punch to leave you reeling. This makes the case for the equipment slots available that can be used to store purchased items such as health and special attacks. The way this works is that after a level is completed, you can choose to enter a store to obtain these items, plus others, to use during battle. They can only be used once, but up to 10 can be stored for extra long levels.

There are six main areas to fight through but each is broken down into levels and then further down into smaller stages. Each has unique enemies, and a boss character, but one thing that makes this special is that the enemies can be “collected” and used. By “used” I mean that they can also be equipped and grant you abilities. This, along with the ability to also Level Up, add some depth to the game, though there aren’t any melee weapons to use.

One other important feature of the game is that it also has an online component. Here, the main purpose is to take on battles that other users set up for you. Basically, levels with enemies are created, based using those that have been collected, and other users take them on. This area comes also with leaderboard standings.

Getting our hands on the mobile version of Konami's Pro Evolution Soccer series has been one of the highlights of the Leipzig Games Convention.

But while we're happy to enthuse about our time with the game and the related chat we had with Konami producer Axel de Roug?(we'll be publishing a full interview soon so click 'Track It!' to get an email alert), it's great to be finally able to share the first screenshots.

For one thing, they clearly show the amount of time and effort the Paris-based development team has taken in giving this 2D Java game the Pro Evo look.

In addition to the well defined players, extra touches include pitch-side detail such as the coaches' area, weather conditions (rain and snow), and extend to the patterns of the way the grass has been cut, of which there are five examples. And when you score a goal, the net will ripple, too.

Despite this level of attention, though, something that's harder to show from these screenshots is the quality of player animations. They're one of the most important technical aspects of the game, as they link deeply into the fluid nature of the controls.

Indeed, so important where they considered that the decision was made to concentrate on animations over and above the game's graphics, with each separate animation consisting of up to nine individual frames.

It's something best shown up in close-up, as these cropped high-resolution screens of various players in motion demonstrate. We especially like the evil sliding tackle from behind and the resulting 'kicked up in the air' look.

[CAPCOM] Resident Evil 4 Mobile

Though we had to wait in line for a while, we eventually got in to a private booth to check out Resident Evil 4 mobile. Let this be said - this game looks amazing for a mobile game, but that may be a result of the hardware it was running on. We had to ask approximately seven people just to find out the phone was a Qualcomm, but none could tell us what model. It sounded like one booth attendant said "prototype." When we repeated the word, they nodded their head in agreement, so that's as close as we're going to come in this article to discovering exactly what type of Qualcomm phone it was.

Our play session was limited to about the time it took for an egg to cook. Attendants were actually starting these up when attendees grabbed hold of a phone, keeping play sessions limited to a few minutes. Still, we were able to see all that was offered in the demo. First was a non-interactive sequence with Leon coming face-to-face with a horde of armed cultist villagers. The second part was a playable shooting section where we had to shoot down blue targets strung up around a town scene from the early parts of RE4. One minute was set on the timer and with every target hit we got another ten seconds. In total there were fifteen, and you get rank ups after several are hit.

Leon was controlled with the phone's directional pad. The pistols aiming mode was initiated with the 1 key and another fired. Overall it seemed pretty easy to control. We only wish the demo opened up some baddy blasting areas. Resident Evil 4 mobile is coming out this winter in Japan

Design:
Like usual titles from HandyGames, the game design is very nice. I like the story that the hero saves the world. And what’s more, the game is also very exciting. You will encounter 14 kinds of enemies, and many more circumstances. With a good inventory system and game engine, "Gothic 3" shows the charm of a traditional RPG game. Without boringly killing enemies, you have to find clues to step further. You have to look everywhere to find better weapons, and meanwhile, do some sub-quests.




Gameplay:
At the very beginning, you are at your home; the Ghost will teach you how to play. Once you leave this location, you can travel from one place to another in the world map. Frequently, you will be interrupted by a group of enemies. You can choose to experience them or not. Speak to the NPCs to find new clues to achieve missions. You can also find "gold" or other equipments in the "wells", "buckets", "brushes" and "treasure boxes". During the game, you will learn up to 7 different magic spells, such as "Heal", "Fire Arrow", etc. Another highlight point is "Lock Picking"; During the adventure, you will see many locked chests, and you have to use "Lock Picks" to unlock them.




Conclusion:
I have never played the PC versions of "Gothic", but after playing this mobile game, I think it’s worthwhile to give it a try. And for those "Gothic" fans, it should be a nice opportunity to travel and save the world with Xardas in your cell phone.

Buzz: The Mobile Quiz (by PlayerX)
Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios (SCE WWS) today announced the appointment of the award-winning mobile media company Player X to publish mobile games based on its key PlayStation® franchises Buzz!™ and Destruction Derby™.

This is the first time SCE WWS has licensed its titles to be published by a third party on mobile. Under the terms of the three-year deal, Player X, with its distribution network of more than 150 global operators and potential audience of more than 2.5 billion people, will have exclusive rights to publish the two titles launching shortly in the European market.

The mobile phone version of the popular Buzz! franchise will be the first title realised in autumn 2008 with, Destruction Derby following in early 2009. Both games will be supported by a fully integrated cross-platform marketing campaign with Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) for the PAL territories.
