Its silly. even more silly than those ridiculous dance mat games, that can't possibly emulate the pastime they are meant to. Either you can play guitar for real or you can't. I can and dont need such nonsense, and i doubt if it would benefit any would be musician lol. No offence tho mate.
Come on guys there is a bigger world out there.

In your line of reasoning gaming in general is absurd...
Puzzles - Let's go out and do some math
Racing - Let's go out and drive arround
Shooters - blablabla let's kill some one
Platform - ........let's hang from the ledge of our home/school/office
all games have a inner core hability that's required...either dexterity, speed, reasoning or strategic though... the rest is an artistic excuse by the developers to make you play.
In terms of speed and dexterity this is one of the best arround...It's also good for bashing your keyset :D
Note: I don't know (and I don't want to know) how to play a guitar
