AT&T actually had to make modifications to their network to support the voice mail stuff (getting a list of VMs on the phone, being able to just touch one to listen to it instead of having to listen to all of them in order, etc.) and other iPhone features. Even if there was some way to, say, unlock the phone and somehow get it to take, say, a T-Mobile SIM, my guess is many features would not work properly.

There is way to use iphone with other services, people have tried to use SIM writer to write a modified SIM, and make iPhone think that is a ATT SIM card, and make it work with other services. for detail, search on the web.

Perhaps, though I'd love to see confirmation that someone's actually managed it. But as I said above, a number of features won't work (like the voice mail stuff).

Actually there is a russian blog-site that claims (showing images) to have an hacked iPhone.

Then, we need to wait a good way to unlock the services. Be patience. For this time, it has not available eventhough its available, it brings damages to your phone. Thread closed.
