I received this pm message today. But how do we know whether our information has already been hacked or phised. As i am sure like others that we dont normally check the address box at top when it asks us to login with our username and password and if such a thing happened who would we contact and how to we prove that we are the original account holders?

Best way is to check who sent it. Only the IPMart staff would send this kind of PM NOT a normal member. If they are a Mod, Senior Mod, Super Mod and admins then it's most likely ok.

Also we don't put IPMart staff or anything like this. We know you know who it's from so this is a bad sign if it ends with something like that.

There is no real way to know if you have been hacked except changing your password. If you have been hacked then the email address you registered with won't work. If you do believe you have been hacked, just find one of the Mod/Admin teams email addresses or try Contact Us - http://www.ipmart-forum.com/sendmessage.php/ ;)

Exactly as Dansco...

When at the time of logging if you get an error that your password is wrong then definately hacker enters in your account and changed the password.. Also he might change your email.. You can contact me whenever such problem occurs.. Will solve your problem as soon as i can..
Now as you know about phising and read the announcement so your account will not get hacked because you know what to do.. :) .. Enjoy.. Those stupid hackers will never succeed in destroying this beautiful forum because their intension is wrong.... And we all are here to help.. Cheers and enjoy your stay ;)

Good work mate. This one was about advertising a site but you ever really know. Our advice is, check out the person's posts and rep along with registered date (which are on the left hand side of ever PM and post)
