Yeah, I installed as per instructions (on N95) and the app installed alright, but when I try to open it, it says : MapKing: Feature not supported!
Please help...:ilove:

Those have problem to install into N95, here is how to install.
1) Extract out from the rar.
2)You must use a Memory card reader to read your N95 memory card. And you must set the foler option to show all hidden directory and system files.
3) copy MapKing directory to the root directory of your memory card.
4) copy other to the respective directory in your N95 memory card.
5) put back the memory card to you N95 and power on your phone.
6) It will install when you try to view your application.

I installed it as you explained....copied the main folder MapKing into my card with maps and then copying and pasting all the other contents of the other folders into the folders with the same names which were on my card...(whatever was in the 'resource' folder of the mapking I copied and pasted in the 'rescource' folder of my card, etc.)
When I put my card into the fone, it installed (although it did not ask, like other apps whether to go into fone or card. It installed fairly quickly.
Then the icon shows under my apps filder, but when I try to open it, it says: feature not supported...
What do you think?

BTW found MapKing2007 in English but I think its not cracked yet. The instruction for Upgrade is there, but since I cant read chinese then nothing that I can do anything about. Further testing at them moment noted that MapKing2007 is not compatible with old MAPS which is posted here. :(

It just either keep silent or sometime, it reported "deviation from planned route...." and check on planned route yield unreasonable routing. Hi Aristotels2060, Yes, I have english language on 6110 navigator and see the provide MapKingapplication in Chinese. I read the instruction manual in Chinese (send me email if you want a copy) which I believe is from HongKong since this launched there and while the routing is suppose to start after setting the destination and starting location, it does not. This may be due to the provided Singapore map here being NOT intended for this version of MapKing R12 for S60 smartphones.

Would appreciate if anyone who managed to get this done to help me. Anyway, will leave this installed and try out the HongKong map when I travel there.

Will stick to pre-installed Route66 Mobile8 in 6110 Navigator which is superior in everyway and keep to the cracked Route 66 mobile7 for oversea travelling (since I cannot find any Sin map for Route 66 mobile 7 .. any kind soul out there?). Re-routing by Route66 Mobile8 is instantaneous with very intuitive user interface while the repeating "deviation from the route route" message from MapKing is painful on the ears and the why the start destination since it is obvious to be from the existing GPS location.

Able to install in my N95 however the Chinese interface is making me crazy. Its the HK type of traditional chinese which makes it doubly hard to understand. Really cannot make full use of it. However the map seems nice.

Why i can installed into NK5700 (same OS as N95 and i have GPS reciever), but cann't use it. It say "Feature not supported"

I can put many maps in my memory card all together.
You can create a separete folder under maps and copy the mapdata.g12 for each folder map.

SD Card -Mapking\Maps\Singapore_Eng\Mapdata.g12
Mapking\Maps\Hongkong_Eng\Mapdata.g12
Mapking\Maps\Taipei_Eng\Mapdata.g12
etc...
So, in the program we can use Switch Map menu to select which map we want to load.
Hopefully this can help.

My 6110 navigator is of the original version and while installation did reported "not compatible" or similar message during installation, I proceeded and it was OK after all the other files copied into their respective folder as well as with the required map files & Meta Folder. However, all the G12 maps provided at this site does not work for me with the 6110 navigator since there is no META folder and Mapdata.RX file. Those that works are at mapking website ... restricted to Singapore, Malaysia, HongKong & Delta Pearl Areas in English and Beijing, Shanghai & DongGuan in Chinese (hxxp://www2.mapking.com/en/s60/s60_Dowload_Eng.htm#Singapore).

PS: MapKing R12 is my only option to search by postal code although the in-built nav-Route 66 is superior in other ways in addition to be English

people i can't install the Mapking to my phone. I did the following steps, unzipped both mapking part 1 and 2 to my pc then dload it to my memory card. Hmmmm.... It's in ur
c:\resource\apps (If u install in Phone Mem)
or
e:\resource\apps (If u install in Mem Card)
Use Card reader or 3rd party file explorer instead.

Installed in n95 8g following the naughtypope's way. Successfully run program but have some errors. Then uninstall thru App Manager. Re-install using naughtypope's manual method again. But this time, when unplug usb cable, nothing happens. Not like the first time. Mapking doesn't auto install. Appreciate someone can help. Thanks.

Got a message "FILE CORRUPTED" by the time i try to install mapking from application manager...

hi,can u hep me?cos i buy a n95 8GB,but i no know how to install a mapking in my h/p phone.cos i step by step to do already,but a mapking software can not install in my h/p.can u help me to solve this problem ?thank you so much......

Its not work @my N73, I already follow the step n nothing happen :P

In my N73 when I look in application, there is MapKing.....but... :( when I 'klik' MapKing : Feature Not Support

extract individual files into the card on the corresponding folder, then insert card to the phone, it will automatically install

copy the maps too Mapking \ Maps\

rename maps to MapData.G12 N PUT IT UNDER MAPS

btw it will nt Work on E61/62

BTW IT SUPPORTS INTERNAL GPS:)

1. singapore & hongkong map on 1st page
2. seoul n macau n bangkok maps on page 2nd
3. jakarta map & taipei map on page 3rd
4. KL plus & thailand highways map added on page 4th
5. beijing map added on page 7

Yeah, I installed as per instructions (on N95) and the app installed alright, but when I try to open it, it says : Unable To execute file For Security Reason

dear all , just bought a PDA with GPS Brand name Asus, model A696N. from Sim Lim square, but the salesman coned me that singapore and malaysia maps are already pre-loaded but NOT. I managed to down load singapore map but badly need malaysia map....can any one please help me. .......p/s planing to go malaysia soon.

but the s60 map should be for mapking 2007. Not sure if it will work with mapking r12. and the map is updated on jan 2008.

I still have problems installing this app... :(

I've followed the instructions to copy the file to the corsponding folders. But some folders like resource is missing.. Maybe cos i never installed anything on my card yet. Been using phone memory all this time.

Can someone tell me where all the corsponding folders are supposed to be located?
Example : D:\system\apps

hi bro, i hve probem DL the map for malaysia and manila, the link is not working as i cannot install the zango program, pls UL the link to others website which can be DL easier. thks a lot...waiting for it urgently!!!!Can u UL the philippine map too?

Those have problem to install into N95, here is how to install.
1) Extract out from the rar.
2)You must use a Memory card reader to read your N95 memory card. And you must set the foler option to show all hidden directory and system files.
3) copy MapKing directory to the root directory of your memory card.
4) copy other to the respective directory in your N95 memory card.
5) put back the memory card to you N95 and power on your phone.
6) It will install when you try to view your application.

Try not using the card reader;

1) extract out the 4 folder, " mapking, sys, private & resource "
2) then copy maps into the mapking/maps, u should see only 1 file inside the maps folder " mapdata.rx " then create different folder for each map. eg. singapore_eng/ singapore.G12 ( need to change the file name to mapdata.G12 )
3) after all folder has been created, take out the main map u want to use from its folder and put it into mapking/maps together with mapdata.rx
4) plug in ur usb to ur phone, copy the folder " mapking" to the root of ur mem card, then the rest of the folders, copy the files inside each folder to the respective folder in ur mem card. eg extract from sys, copy the file to the sys folder in ur mem card sys folder.
5) then unplug, the program will install by itself

1,try to ugrade you phone's firmware to the latest version! older version have a very bad detection of the GPS status. latest version can let you detect GPS status even in the covered house or in the uppper deck of ferry!

2,after navigating, you have to delete the routes.and make it fresh new.if you had a navigating route in the Mapking.it will making your mapking hang and always saying you are off course! and making you can't use the program !

Actually,the programe (R12) and map that installed in my phone-N81 working excellent with Bluetooth GPS receiver ..But once start navigating, how come ALWAYS give a funny route...like navigate from PJ to Klang for example,it direct u to Penang first, then come down to Klang...Crazy man...what is going on? Totally can't be used....!This is for R12 ver....

Making 2007 have no such ridicurous problems at all,but still always in calculation state for a long time!

Can try to use Sygic Drive instead...this mapking is in traditional Chinese, i think only the hongkies and taiwanese will know how to use only ....
