Hi,

I used the search function and downloaded a few gameloft games but i don't know how to install them on my nokia 6600. I have nokia 6600 and nokia 3660 but don't know how to install the gameloft games I found.

The games are in folders so I copied rayman into my memory card using memory card reader but it didnt appear on the menue of my fone.

All the help is appreciated.

Well its quite easy..! go to the file manager on your nokia 6600 and over there u will find the games which have been transferred to your memory card. press the joystick and the installation process will begin. keep answering yes until u reach the menu of either installing game in phone memory or memory card. select memory card and an installation bar will show up which will show the installation. once the installation is complete u will see the game in your menu..!hope u got it....! Happy playing...! Do tell if ur problem is sorted..!

Please be a bit more specific:

• What kind of files did you find in the folder?

• Gameloft games are normally java (.jar file). Did you transfer a .jar file to your phone?

• Did you transfer the whole folder?

PS: Maybe you can place a link from the page you donwnload the game..??

hey bro.. all gameloft games which are for nokia ngage wont work on any of the phones you have..
you need at least a nokia 6630 or higher(i tried them on 3230, 3650 and failed)..
(rayman will work on 3230 upward phones though.. i never tried it on 6600 but its unlikely)..

and about installing the games.. you already have got ample expert answers..:)

This is so frustrating, all the games or apps i want to install on my 6600 download in winrar format. I extract it and there are loads of files.

For example, I downloaded Midnight Bowling, I extracted it, another file in winrar format called midnight bowling appeared, I extracted that file and all these pak, pak and class files appear but there is no java or jar file.

I have copied all these files to my mobile but to no avail. What am I meant to do with all these files?

whenever you see .class files directly inside a rar archive, rename the file from xyz.rar to xyz.jar..

Hello Jay..
I think I know ur problem.. :)
1. Open ur windows explorer
2. Select Tools -> options -> show extension for known file type.
3. Press ok
4. Now u can see all the file including their extension inside ur windows explorer.
5. Download a game u want to install. For example :
midnight_bowling.rar
6. In the windows explorer u will see 'midnight_bowling.rar'
instead of just 'midnight_bowling'
7. Now extract 'midnight_bowling.rar' until u see the filename is 'midnight_bowling.jar'
8. If u already see 'midnight_bowling.jar' dont extract it anymore eventhough the icon shows it a winrar file. Just transfer that file to ur phone and put it somewhere.
For ex to E:/
9. Fm there u can just browse to E:/ using ur file manager. U will found 'midnight_bowling.jar'. Just click it n the installation will begin.. ;)

Hope helps :D
Cheers..

Now sometimes u will found a rar file. But when u extract it u wont find a jar file, but u find many files like:
a.class
b.class
info.class
etc..
If u found this type of file, just rename the rar file into jar!
Then just transfer it 2ur phone..
The rest is like above.
