CD Players/Drives are disposable. It will cost you much if you want to repair it (labor & parts).

It is more practical to buy a new one. Now a days, it is more cheap.

mangesh, if you live in India...the cd-player is available for as low as INR 2500...my advice...go for that...no local technician will be able to repair it by reprogramming the IC...

When i bought a new player i have got this board. After some time this board get damaged and thats why i have to buy a new one . So I bought a new one which was cheaper than the orignal one. The problem is this board is not working with the front panel of the player. So i want to programme rom ic so that i can make use of front panel. If you know the producer how to programme the rom ic so that i can use front panel. Please tell in detail. I aslo want to know which ic programmer is best for ic writting . In Ic prog i have not seen the ic no 27c020 . I aslo want to know which hardware is the best as i have seen many hardware in the market.

may be its short circuit problem. if you have a electrical tester you can actually find out if the electricity going to the front panel is good or is having a problem
