Text-to-speech uses the Message Reader application which is built into compatible Series 60 mobile phones. The service is available only for selected phones where the application is preinstalled.
Let your phone read your messages out loud with Text-to-speech, a tool which allows you to listen to text messages, multimedia messages, and emails. Text-to-speech is:
a convenient and hands-free way to access your messages
available to users of compatible Nokia Series 60 mobile phones
offered in a range of different languages and voices.
Compatibility: Nokia E50, E65, E90 Communicator, 5500 Sport, 5700 XpressMusic, and 6110 Navigator phones.

Yup there are quite a lot of words that are really different for eg. yaar (meaning buddy) etc and many others. So thats why Indian English just like UK english or US english. :) Thanks a ton for this app naughtypope. Its really useful when youre driving :) Cant +rep you now will do so as soon as possible. Keep up thr good work by the way. :)

i have tried this app in my 5500D and 5700XM, there's not much difference between the Ellen voice and Sangeeta voice when it comes to reading the message....but there is Indianism when it reads out other stuff like the name of the sender etc....
