For every nokia maps user..
now u can get the latest maps update from nokia map downloader..
1.u need to get the nokia map downloader v1.3
2.update ur phone firmware to the latest (e.p N73 V 4.0736.3.2.1)
3.connect ur mmc using card reader o cable
4.open nokia map downloader then it will appear a msg say "smth"(tat mean u can get the latest maps)
5.jz download into ur mmc then u can use the latest nokia map(it oso support voice navigation)

op3n, there is a map request thread in this forum, which has those specific maps. Else, try something from a torrent site ( i have downloaded all europe including eastern europe maps that way)

Well as i can see this is the thread where we can request maps.I tried untill now a 50mb version of Eastern Europe but unfortunately it doesn't work too well in Romania.Now i am downloading the 181mb map and i hope this is better.I also tried the Romania version but it doesn't work with this version of Route66.

op3n, you have to make sure that the one you're downloading is compatible with your device. R66 has maps for both PNDs and PPC, and they cannot be substituted. good luck!

Yes, that's the one but unfortunatly has just Bucharest and Timisoara and the rest of the country the major roads. Try Sygic, it's the best for Romania.

Map ID 929, you have to use Mapsource after you install the map to transfer to your phone, and for unlock the map use the keygen provided in Garmin thread (v1.3 from Jetmouse)

I think you have Route66 v.8 If so there is no solution yet for "free" maps. You could install a different software. For Romania and around I would recommend Garmin XT with RO.A.D 2006.

RO.A.D 2006 is best Romanian map (see www.romaniadigitala.ro there is a live demo on the left).
Steps are:
1. Install Garmin mobile XT
2. Crack it to see internal/external GPS: basicaly you need ID (from Settins/about) and you use keygen (middle Generate button) to generate 25 digits code that you put in your Garmin folder as a text file with the exact name SW.UNL
3. Find ROAD 2006 map. It better be in *.img format. It should have the name GMAPSUPP.IMG. With keygen (lower Generate button) to generate 25 digits code that you put in your Garmin folder as a text file with the exact name GMAPSUPP.UNL For Romania ROAD 2006 map you have to use Custom map Map ID 931.

u can find the activation code from an russian forum.. i don't remember right now, but u can find it with a simple search on this forum, or u can sign the unsigned software.

i have a n95 8 gb. have been looking for a gps software for india that actually works. nokia maps is there but it is expensive. google maps is there but no navigation or rather it claims to have direction option but i have tried a lot of times but doesnt work. have heard a lot about route66 mobile 8. i saw it on nokia navigator 6110. it has map of india. i did get my hand on the software and the map.. software thro this forum and map from route 66 site. but unfortunately there is no trial and neither crack.

Ok in case some of our forumer cant download the link i post for Route66 Mobile7 Singapore map i deicided to upload here for the ease of the rest. Simply download and unrar the singapore.prm file and put it in X:\system\apps\route66\maps. X is where you install the route66. If u dont have maps folder under the route66, create one!

As far as India maps are concerned.

The only proper India maps avbl for Symbian is from Nokia (Navteq maps). Not that great ones. But Ok for bangalore and bombay(i have tested both). Hyderabad sucks(dont even have Hitech City!) These maps are avbl in this forum. Just search for Nokia India maps.

You can use MGMaps or yahoo2go or Google maps or wayfinder(mapmyindia), if you have unlimited GPRS. This is not great as it doesnt provide turn by turn navigation (exception mapmyindia wayfinder) and also if you are in highway, you have the problem of connectivity!

I hear about some mapking version. I could not get hold of one.

Also i hear about a garmin version. But that looks like one of the rarest species in the earth!!..Nowhere to be found..Some p2p sites have them..but are mostly dead. Garmin website is also not clear on what they have.

Route66 claims to have an India maps. We could see that in their store. However, no trail is avbl to test. Also it is avbl only for version8 of route66..Which has not yet been crrracked. My understanding, it has two levels of protection. One is the voucher coupon protection. Here the system will accept only a selected set of voucher number. (brute force works here!) Howver once the system voucher has been accepted, you need internet connection to validate this. This is were the trouble is! Connection is not possible through wireless lan. So one could not check what is being sent and what is being received. Also not sure, whether, the map is handicapped version.

There are SmartcomGps version of map avbl. But does not give you the enough zoom level to really do a navigation. personally I would say its of zero use. However, you get general sense of travel. This is also avbl in the forum.

Satnav has come up with some pretty good one on destinator. It is also avbl in the forum [you will get what you search! :) ]
Mapmyindia also have a loaded version, which is also avbl in the forum. Heard this is also good.

Does any one have mapmyindia inav loaded WF for s60v3.
(not the ppc version)
And it uses the wayfinder navigation software.

Worldwide roads basemap v2.0 installed/

I am off to France next week... and could do with a detailed map.

Is my map going to be accurate enough? or can someone please suggest a better map download.

Also can i have a detailed map for more than one country installed at a time?

First install training centere and than mapsource, the third step is installing map nad ulocking on computer.
