In order to open large pdf files (i tried 12MB file) you can use Mobipocket Reader. The only disadvantage is that the pdf files have to be converted to prc in your PC.

Unfortunately yes since this version is not designed as an update of the preinstalled one but as a different application.

And the preinstalled one can't be removed...

I'm grateful for your generosity, aquemini. I was looking for replacement for inbuild Adobe Reader LE 1.5 and later instaled mBrain pdf+ 1.67 because they are imperfect applications(mBrain pdf+ is a good one but in some pdf files loses word when wrap text and the font are strange). I was allmost forced to move on Repligo or MobiPocket Reader with the downside i waiste time to convert pdf file. But now, thanks to your post, i'm pleased with Quickoffice Adobe Reader LE v2.5 aplication and for now i can read effortless pdf file.

I signed and everything works....until you reboot your phone and it starts connecting to your hot spot on its own whenever it wants. On top of that it does traffic. I had to hard reset my E70 cos it would randomly use my hotspot because of this!!!

Yes!

It has been said many time in this thread. It is not compiled as an update of rel 1.5 but as a standalone version.
Therefore you are going to have two different icons and no way to uninstall the original one.

It's a problem of the phone itself. Check the original page of Adobe LE. It says they are working on it, but that at the moment it doesn't substitute the original Adobe LE. To avoid mistakes, I created a folder called "Old versions" in my phone and moved the direct access of Adobe LE 1.5 there.

I want tham to work as on my PC, another examle, i wanted some allpication that changes from UMTS to GPS according to wheater i am browsing or only mail, those kind of customazable things exist only for WM i am afraid...

this guy CLEARLY does not have a clue.
Either that or he is basing his entire symbian experience on one mobile phone usage.
I have had my Nokia E71 now for over a month, and I had huge expectations for it.. My expectations were met and dusted by the usability, accessibility and overall sexiness of this phone. I have not met a single problem or annoyance while using this phone. Also a couple of my friends are using the N95 8gig and claim this to be the best phone they have ever used, once again being SYMBIAN phones.
So I ask you, before you create your opinion upon something... make sure you have more than a single experience to base it on.

At the moment you can't upgrade it, sometime in the future i'm sure you will be able to. but unfortunately you'll just have to deal with it for now.
What i do is store everything i dont use into a folder in the root menu named Unused and it saves alot of icon exploring to find what i want... also, i dont even use the adobe pdf icons because i just use adobe reader through quickoffice.
