TeaShark gives you full web browsing on your mobile phone with superb usability and performance.

Full Web for your mobile phone
TeaShark renders web pages the same way as desktop browsers.
It's no more mobile web with hardly any content. Your favourite sites are the same on your phone and the desktop.

Navigate intuitively
There's an intelligent mouse for easy navigation.

the cursor jumps to the next link to click, saving you the trouble
navigate as fast or slow as you need with page up and down, left and right
jump to content: the display snaps to the text you're reading.
Lean, high quality
Within TeaShark, all unnecessary information in a web page is discarded and the page is compressed to a fraction of its original size, sent at lightening speed.
Images are processed to give good visual quality on a phone display, optimized for mobile delivery.

Less data means less network traffic, quicker loading and a smaller number in your data bill.

Slide to your history instantly
Pages you've visited are not gone - they are still on your phone. You can easily slide back and forth in your browsing history.
Depending on how much memory your phone has, TeaShark can remember up to 10 pages.

Rotate to landscape
Go sideways for a more natural feel. Press "0" and TeaShark will rotate itself 90 degrees to landscape mode.

Zooming
Press 5 and view your page from a distance, a zoomed-out page with a mangifier showing you where you are.
Scroll in zoomed-out mode to navigate quickly, and press 5 again to zoom into exactly where you want to be.

Smart address entry
Entering web addresses in a mobile phone has been painful. With TeaShark's address entry it's predicted for you, finding the page as easily as possible.
The engine remembers common patterns - popular sites, URLs - and the addresses you have visited*, incrementally filling the adress bar as you type.

* Address history is stored only on the phone and can be cleared in the preferences (privacy).
Find text
TeaShark allows you to search for any text on the page, and immediately jumps to the match it finds.
It's like Firefox's incremental keyword searching, on your phone.

Click and search
Press 1, select your search engine from the list. Mark the words and "Search". Done.
Send the text around the cursor to your favourite search engine in only a couple of clicks.

And when you're done, just press "Back" to get back to that article.

Take your bookmarks with you
You have dozens of feeds and bookmarks in your PC browser, and you want them on your mobile. TeaShark allows you to migrate your desktop bookmarks to your phone, and back again.
Import from del.icio.us or manage from your desktop, synchronize with TeaShark.

A powerful RSS reader
Read your feeds through TeaShark. TeaShark can tell you when it finds a feeds to subscribe to, a dedicated RSS view will let you read your subscribed and discovered channels.

Manage your feeds through the TeaShark web interface, and synchronize them with your phone.

Ad blocking
TeaShark server blocks most ads banners and graphics, making sure they never arrive to your phone. Get your content compact and clean.
A secure connection
Communication between the TeaShark client and server is encrypted by an 128-bit encryption algorithm. (privacy)

I don't know if I'd say it was better than Opera, but its def a good browser and one thing it has over opera is you can sync your bookmarks and feeds if you resgister with the website (hxxp://[Only registered and activated users can see links]).

Great info and rep to you mate.

Shame the website is a alpha version too. Once you add a bookmark it just displays it but no go back or anything so you have to reload the page. :(

TeaShark does handle forms (just try a web search). We'd love to hear about it if you've had a problem, so if possible please post some details here or over at

Needs way too much work. Tried to log into 3 of my most used accounts and not one would log, kept emptying the input fields. As much as I despise my Nokia E62, I can't say the Safari browser is bad because it is worlds ahead of the rest (for now). Thanks for the app but I'll pass because of those things :) (but LOVE tons of your other stuff :) )

100% right :good2:: Nokia Web Browser is built upon S60WebKit, a port of the open source WebKit project. WebKit contains the WebCore and JavaScriptCore components that Apple uses in its Safari browser.

And guess what: also TEaShark is based on Webkit :egdance:

Thanks!

and frankly, when i can't log on to ipmart, the app is useless :P.

Heheheh, well we'd better fix it then :p

Hi again winteum!

Hi TeaShark!

1) Can't log in into my gmail account. it stucks at "loading". Please try to login into ipmart-forum to verify if you sucess.

 I can reproduce on ipmart, and we've heard about some people having Gmail issues. Fix is on the way, you won't need to reinstall the TeaShark app.

2) Can't enter number directly with my e61 at "goto". It must to press the oprtion button. To navigate is the same problem.

Ok, I see the same on an E61i and have filed a bug (thanks!). That'll be a client update however :|

3) It would be great if under zoom we would see clearly the content.

Hmm, interesting. We worked really hard to make that happen, and we do know that it's not as readable on the S60 phones as it is on the S40 phones (if you're interested, it's a lot to do with the image manipulation libraries provided by the phone's OS - when you hit 5, a bitmap of the page is generated and displayed).

In the end, for the Alpha release we optimized towards the S40 phone because, :alasno:, there's currently a lot more S40 phones than Symbian 9.X.

Nevertheless we'll see what we can do for the next release - I've linked to your comments from our bug tracking this issue. Appreciate them!

Actually, thank you very much for all your comments, questions and suggestions guys. Really great stuff, please keep it coming!

Cheers,
TeaShark

Hey Teashark,

i know that this is s60v3 discussion, but is this browser working on nokia 6680. I installed it no problem, it loads normally but when I try to connect, it starts but it does not ask to choose access point and basically nothing happens.

Cheers

well i dent use web browsers on my phone since most of the sites i want to check when im away from my desktop pc are allmost completelly created with flash so i cant browse allmost anything with my N80...
but cheking this thread i find it quite amazing to see that creators of the programms do discuss directly with the users and willing to fix any problem also...quite rare i must admit...
so even though i wont use this programm my respect to TeaShark, two times respect to naughtypope also cause at least half of the uploads in this thread belongs to him and... keep up the good work!!!

+rep to both of course :)
