rotateMe is a freeware application for symbian OS 3rd edition devices, which allow you to use your phone in landscape mode.

Rotateme is for N73 & N80.

N95 has a landscape mode built in when u slid it the other way round, so why people are saying they need it for N95!

You can't, for example, play with vbag (or other games that need the keypad, I suppose) in landscape mode (which would let you scale the screen up to full-screen) as when you slide out the keypad, it turns to portrait mode.

vbag lets you rotate the screen in portrait, but this leaves the D-pad the wrong way round if you try to use it in landscape. I'm not sure if Rotateme would solve this issue (does it also rotate the D-pad when the screen rotates?)

Current version of Rotame only activate the in-built functions of Symbian 9.1 for rotating the screen (and if you want gives you a hot key for doing this). It doesn't do anything else

It's particularly usefull in phones (like the N80) where you can't do it directly.
On N95 it "could" be useful since when you open the keypad it turns back automatically.
But in real life personally I can't see any major occasion when this is needed. Texting or writing with the keypad in the wrong direction is not for me :lol:
In games maybe but just a few fully support landscape...
For me the only occasion is when you have to access some shortcuts when browsing but you still can open the keypad up to the second line without turning back the orientation ;)... only the first line (1,2,3) remains inacessible
