While adding text to your phone wallpaper, I came across a nice way to add them. Adobe Photoshop user:

1) Create a file with transparent background at resolution of 240*235.
2) Now add a text to that file.
3) Save it in any format (.gif or .png are preferred).
4) Select file on your phone and choose 'Set as wallpaper'. Your phone screen will look like this:

Yes a old trick...
Never the less might be new for many...
And will work for any resolution...
Just create a file with transparent background depending on the resolution of your phone...
