I successfully installed Google Mail application on my Sony Ericsson
K610 mobile phone and it worked very well. Unfortunately, I wanted to
connect automatically to my other Google Mail account and couldn't
find a method of changing the user name and password.

Foolishly, I deleted the Google Mail application from my phone and
tried to install again. On clicking on the link to
[Only registered and activated users can see links]
I get onto the Google Mail page giving various options, one of which
is the "Google Mail (download)". On clicking on that link I receive a
link stating "Get the new, faster, Google Mail for the Sony Ericsson
MIDP2". This turns out to be version 1.1.1 and the application starts
to load then informs me that it is an "Invalid Application".

Is there a way to delete any relevant files so that the application loads and starts up from scratch?

I've looked through the phone manual and cannot see any reference showing how to format the phone.

Have you any ideas how to do this? Is it the memory stick that needs formating or the built in memory? Will I lose all phone numbers and programmes?

Dont have a SE phone...
But if you format phone you will lose all data...
If you format phone memory you will lose your contacts, messages, etc...
