but with the help of animsprite n tools given below u can make full screen transparent walls for ur fone

Making transparent screen wallpaper mbm Guide

Download MBM editor
Download mask wallpaper

den make a suitable wallpaper of ur screen resolution in save it as 24bit bmp
Open MBM editor tool add ur good choice wallpaper, the following options / c24, then click on the selected file by adding
den add the suitable mask as the same resolution of ur screen using /8
select all
save it mbm file
send it to ur fone
select the file from animsprite n change
now u will c a full screen transparent wall for ur fone

ps: the file shud nt have blank spaces otherwise it will save and show 0bytes

You need to install 'VB Runtime'. Search over Google or Microsoft for the file.

for those who receiving error " Missing Comdlg32.ocx " while running an Mbmwizard application.
just download Comdlg32.ocx from

but when transfered it to phone & choose it ... the picture shows all the screen but not clear ..... it look like lank or pale

got it everything worked, and copyed lot of wallpapers to the my memory card, now hoc can set as wallpapers them on my phone?

even i did copy one of the bmb picture i made to phone/animsprite folder, but when i go to animsprite application on the phone menu and select reload sprite, , it wont charge my wallpaper on the main screen.

hello there.. i made already the moving images. and it looked great. but my problem is that when i use bluetooth or if i get a message the icons below the battery can't be seen... how can i deal with that problem?

Has anyone got this working on an n95??
I can get the picture on the phone as fullscreen but the colors are all messed up.
Looks like an 8bit picture. I tried downloading some of the ones that Naughtypope put up as well but the colors don't work still.

I'm using pearl black theme, and it have shitty colours... I cant check it on psiloc reflect theme, cause it doesnt work on my phone... Some advices?

edit. same on glass, and nokia themes. i think prob is in mbm wizard. i add pics to archive with /c24 , and there's option "change selected to" c8, c24 etc. How it should be?

edit2. Ok, i know now :) wallpaper must be with /c24 attribute, and mask must be with /8 :) and it's ok. NP, u can change ur tutorial a bit - not all will know this.

I followed your directions but when i select all the two bmp files, first the wallpaper e then the mask into bmp converter don't work saving is a mbm 0 file instead of select all i select the wall or the mask the mbm is createad perhaps you must explain better because with your istructions doesn't work only 0 mbm file..

Hello bros.I think ur having a problem.It is working very good. Be sure ur bmp files is 24bitand use /c24. Or try to use /8 in any picts u wanted. Hope this will stop all of ur questions.

Whenever I try to use your mbm files, colors get strange. I know somebody else also asked about that, and you suggested using lighter themes. I've tried all the themes I've got, also downloaded a lot that I THINK are light, but to no avail - each image of yours I use is not properly displayed. :???:

i'm using version 2.02 of animsprite... please suggest further action or themes I can use with your mbm files cause I like them a lot!!!!

@naughtypope - finally my only problem was that i was using the 2.01 version... when i updated it to 2.02 it worked. but not that good looking with transparent it could have been better maybe if it was really not that transparent... but thanks a lot...

Your wallpaper must have a name with 'no spaces'. For example: Make you a wall 240x320 with name 'a', then save you as 'a.bmp'. Then choose 'a.bmp' as c24, and then the mask as /8 in mbm wizard. Select all, then save as 'a'. I hope, you will have some bytes.

Did u use /c8 or /8 for ur mask??
I got negative effect when I use /c8 also.
No prob when using /8.

it isn't as simple as that. You need to break the gif down into individual frames, then add them into the program. not sure if you need to do the background again, but it's really more trouble than it's worth....did it once, never gonna do it again.

Thanks for this works a treat, the problem with the 'negative' effect is caused by using .jpg files instead of .bmp files convert the image to .bmp and it should be ok.

1.Your wallpaper must have a name with 'no spaces'. For example: Make you a wall 240x320 with name 'a'.jpeg, then save you as 'a'.bmp (24-bit Bitmap). Then choose 'a.bmp' as c24, and then the mask as /8 in mbm wizard. Select all, then save as 'a'. I hope, you will have some bytes.

2.Than install AnimSprite.v2.01beta_Unsigned.

In mbm wizard, open your .bmp wallpaper- choose 'c24', and then the mask as '/8'. Than 'select all' and go to 'file' and select 'save as'.

actually the "mask" is just the image posted in this forum, its a gray color, try to see on the first page ... you open that image which we say its a mask and put the setting to /c8... i know how to make but im not good in explaining but i hope you kinda did understand what im trying to say here.

yaaaaaaaaaaaa i fuc*in did it..its 4 in the morning and i managed to solve it...first..one of the versions of mbm wizard posted in here was always saving the mbm with 0 gytes size, and second...ON N95 8GB BEFORE SAVING THE MBM YOU HAVE TO SELECT "CHANGE SELECTED TO /8" and this is it...other wise my colours were messed up...good nite everyone;)

but still there is something i don't like...the transparent wallpaper is black&white...

maybe the version of mbm wizard u use is bad,,try finding it somewhere else, like i did, and then when u want to save the mbm, do it from file/save as..etc

i search for other version and dont find.

search and download the mbm editor from another source, i had your problem and did so, and now i am able to save the mbm at its real size. the picture u want to put as wallaper has to have the size 240x320 also

S60 has been unable to use full-screen wallpaper


but with the help of animsprite n tools given below u can make full screen transparent walls for ur fone

Making transparent screen wallpaper mbm Guide

Download MBM editor
Download mask wallpaper

den make a suitable wallpaper of ur screen resolution in save it as 24bit bmp
Open MBM editor tool add ur good choice wallpaper, the following options / c24, then click on the selected file by adding
den add the suitable mask as the same resolution of ur screen using /8
select all
save it mbm file
send it to ur fone
select the file from animsprite n change
now u will c a full screen transparent wall for ur fone

ps: the file shud nt have blank spaces otherwise it will save and show 0bytes

Hey,

It means the file names of the pictures being used to create the MBM file should not have any space, eg. the file name should not read "my picture" but should be named as "my_picture" or "my-picture" etc.

i use ngage. i also managed to create mbm file, but then animsprite doesnt work on my phone.
i tried to rename the created mbm file to backgroundimage.mbm and pasted it to c;\system\data\
it worked but only half of the screen was covered.
can any one create 176*208 wallpaper(i.e after setting that image as background image, a file named backgroundimage.mbm gets created in c:\system\data\ and i want that file so that i can check it directly by pasting) for me??
