This is not entirely true, there is a volume limitation on the speakers, but its considerably higher with the new file than the original. when i applied the file i called my top up line via my headphones and it was the same, but when i pushed up the volume i found it was only half way where it was full before. this does not change any loudness for the loudspeaker but changes the loudness for the hands free with the headphones. this must mean that the headphone volume is completely different to the loudspeaker volume Just my observations
I have set the volume limitation on the headphone and headset to 1 (original is 0.826872). I think this is what apple did in the 1.1.1 update. Now you got it for 1.0.2.
Steps to follow:
#1: Jailbreak
#2: Use sftp-client (cyberduck) to access your iPhone, go to folder: /private/var/root/Library/Preferences/
#3: Make a copy of "com.apple.celestial.plist" as a backup.
#4: Put the downloaded file via sftp-client on your iPhone 1.0.2 in folder: /private/var/root/Library/Preferences/
#5: Go to Jail again (just reboot your phone)
Now you should get no volume limits for headset and headphone
