PocketDOS is a powerful virtual PC software environment for your pocket computer that allows you to run a DOS operating system and have instant access to many DOS applications* on your pocket computer, whilst simultaneously allowing the use of the pocket computer's native applications. PocketDOS also allows DOS applications to access serial ports, built-in modems, infrared ports, bluetooth devices, removable storage disks, touchscreens and shared network resources, and allows file sharing between the pocket computer's native applications and DOS applications.
This is the WM ARM version with added 486 emulators. Pocketdos does not have sound, you could try PocketDOSBOX 0.63 - Uploaded below.
Instructions included, enjoy :) More versions available on the website, but I don't have a crack for those, sorry :) If anyone can contribute further cracks, we can include support for more devices. The uncracked version has a 15second delay every few minutes, so it's not so bad :)

Sorry, I don't know mate, it's an emulator for old MSDOS games so it should work..
Generally, stuff that works on Dosbox for windows will work on pocketdos.
Here's a copy of PocketDosBox 0.63 (freeware) also, so if it doesn't work on Pocketdos you can try with PocketDosbox (which also has sound)..
To install, extract to a folder on your storage card and run!
You can configure the program in dosbox.conf
At the bottom is a line
mount c "\Storage card\dos"
which you can change to assign your C drive to wherever you want.
PocketDosBox is a PocketPC port of DOSBox.
It's a full x86 PC emulator with sound, graphics and DOS.
So, you can revive your favourite, classic old DOS games on your PocketPC now!

If you go to the pocketdos website you can see full instructions for installing MS-DOS and then you use it like you would a normal MSDOS machine and can install whatever applications you want.

Please refer to their site as they have a good resource in their forums.
Here are some more guides too, if you have specific troubles let me know and I'll try to write my own guide.

Here's the MSDOS setup disks for you advanced users..
1: Set up a Hard Disk on C ask a Disk Image File - Reset after this
2: Fdisk it using Freedos (PocketDOS won't find the new disk at first until you run Fdisk - this is normal. - Reset after this
3: Format C: (you'll get an error, just press ignore and continue) - Reset after this
4: Change the system settings NOT to use Freedos to boot but to use Drive A (the first option in System menu)
5: Change Drives - Drive A should point to Dos622_1.dsk - Then reboot again
6: Follow MSDOS setup
7: Once installed - Cancel redirection on Drive A (eject drive A) - Reboot!
Enjoy!

It is not a partition created on your PPC, It's a Hard Drive File - dos.hdd for example. This is just a normal file and will not affect the rest of your machine :)

can it be used for wm2003??? :)
PocketDOS and DosBox should both work, but I can't test them myself (noWM2003)
If you get it working or even if you don't - it would be nice if you could report your result here so others can see it :)

< Rookie Poster, Rookie! :grr:
I have MSDOS7.11 running in PocketDOS.
I used two programs, Virtual Floppy Drive (because I have no floopy drive) and Disk Write (image writer), to remake the installation disks as ".dsk" files. I did the same process for some fresh DOS6.22 images (are all the downloads in this forum corrupt?) but I haven't tested those yet. I'll upload these later (at work).
I used the DOSBox 486 CPU emulation. I don't think this will work without it.
I also set the memory emulations to max/very high. Maximum XMS memory seems to cause fatal crashes (why?). Also, MSDOS7.11 has it's own memory manager... i suggest not loading it (you'll be asked during install) because i think it will conflict with PocketDOS's manager. Feel free to experiment though, I haven't tested this suspicion.
The installation process is the same as MSDOS6.22.
Vague Directions:
Set drive A: to the first disk image (bootable, format & fdisk)
Set drive C: to a hard disk image (make one if needed)
Set Boot option to "A: if available otherwise C:"
If you want to try the windows gui (it is a minimalized version of the OS) then give the installation program this disk when it asks for "Add On Disk" just before the end. Unfortunately I could only get as far as the splashscreen, then PocketDOS crashes :ashamed:
I've included two programs I found very useful for making the dsk files PocketDOS needs: Diskwrite and Virtual Floppy Drive.
I have uploaded the maximum of five files.

I'm not sure I understand your question. You should use pocket dos to load the ms dos disks one by one, see the short guide I posted here in this thread.
Message me if you need more specific help :)

I'm still not sure I understand the question. It freezes after you choose the normal boot manager of microsoft for MS Dos? This doesn't make sense to me. Can you post a screenshot of the problem?
Also I can't post a tutorial of how to get the program working on a Jordana 720 because I don't have one!
