Hi guys I am looking 4 a nice and cheap 5.1 home theater
I live in Ludhiana India. Advice wat brand should I buy and also tell me the difference between 5.1, 6.1 & 7.1 and I wanna attach it to my Pc well I have 5.1 compatability sound card in my intel motherboard and also tell I should add extra sound card for extra protection of my motherboard

1.u can try well known brands lyk philips LG r sony(bit costly)...they ll cost anywhr between Rs.5000-20000.. if u want to go for local make go for jack martin.. they 4 very cheap but at sacrifice of warrenty.. also see the spec of the home theatre u r goin to buy.. like satellite speakers & sub-woofer wattage,RMS output.. the more the better n higher sound it can deliver... also chk if it is dolby digital surround compatible... there are many other features which are model-dependent..

2. 5.1,7.1... the all the mean the no. of channels which ur home theatre can handle... 5.1:5 dynamic channels(front left,right;rear left,right;center) and a Low frequency channel(for sub woofer), 7.1 s basically the same with addition of 2 more side left,right channels(hence better surround)

3. if u hav pc wit 5.1 channel capablity then there s no pt in adding extra hardware!
