Using Sniper you can send/receive and reply to text messages from other BlueTooth equipped phones (including non Windows Mobile devices such as Nokias and Sony-Ericssons). Sniper also contains a BlueTooth scanner which will locate discoverable BlueTooth devices in your vicinity to start socializing with. Sniper will also allow you to transfer files between devices as well as messages. With just a few clicks you can designate folders (on the storage card if you wish) for Music, pictures or any kind of file. Sniper is skinnable and comes with a range of cool skins. More skins may be easily added. Sniper also includes a Bluejacking feature which means you can send files or messages to all devices within range at the same time. A useful feature for sending out Business cards at meetings! Since BlueTooth is short range 10-12 meters and does not use a Wireless carriers data network, all this messaging and data transfer is FREE.

Just unzip the "Bluetooth Sniper" folder and click the "setup.exe" or copy the "Sniper.1.3.469.PPC.FULL.CAB" to your device and install it.

Important Note: dK5U U m
Your device must set the language to english (under regional setting).

c)from the "setting" you click on "register" i URQbr?

This does *not* work for me on HTC Kaiser (WM6). I get an error "SniperPPC requires the installation of netcf.core.ppc3.arm.cab for it to run properly. Install the Cab file before running this application".

(edit) The app does then appear to install correctly and does turn bluetooth on, but will not find any devices in range. Yes, there are devices in range :)

You'd think so would'nt you........however, this was designed for WM5 which comes preinstalled with cf1.0

But an app targeting .net 1.0 should be able to run on .net 2.0 !!! ... or am i completely wrong here ???

i installed the net compact framework from the previous link and the program doesnt recognise it. it doesnt even open. but before installation it opened. it just never recognised any bluetooth.

Doesnt work on ASUS p535. Has anyone got it running on p535? Getting the error message "Sniper cannot run on this device. It has an unsupported Bluetooth Stack". CF installed and bluetooth is enabled.

I get Unsupported Bluetooth Stack as well, then it crashes. Any help from anyone?

P.S. Also got that error from install that it needs a file

If you hav installed the NETCF just ignore the warning after installation.
Just register with any 5 number.

When I click scan it responds back almost immediately with "no bluetooth devices detected" How is that possible? It didnt even try searching!?!?!? My bluetooth on my phone is turned on.

Ok i have a question about sniper in general. How do you get into other people's phones cause i used bluejack and set messages and it'll say success but that's it then i would just use the scanner and send a message but i can take other people's files out there phone if they agree to it ....... So how do i do it ????

Ok. The software installed properly and works without errors,
HOWEVER...it does not find any other devices and not once did i actually get it to work as is supposed to on my kaiser. it keeps scanning and never find anything even though there are "open" devices around me.

is this software compitable with windows mobile 2003?

It doesn't work on HTC Wizard. Instalation and registration without any problems, but after press scan button I see "no bluetooth device" alert, but windows bluetooth manager (or whatever) shows me other devices. I going to give up.
