Awesome! repped! ;)
I was starting to hate Pocket CM Contacts because of the way tene's (author of pcm) trying to fill it with too much feature that's starting to become irritating.

Comparing to PocketCM..
God i's HUGE.. and i mean really huge....
PocketCM takes only 800KB from memory and Vito takes 2,5MB..... jesus!!!!!!!

Advantages......
> I like that the selected letter indicator doesn't move as you move your finger.
____It stays in the middle of the screen and it's big... so you can see it
> You don't have to create a .ini file in order to use the letters (language) of your choice
____It takes by itself the first letter of all your contacts and creates the letter list
> More Graphical..

Disadvantages..........
> Ofcourse the memory size.... 2,5MB?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
> In my P3300 you can't scroll through the names with the wheel
____You can only slide your finger on the screen in order to scroll and see other names
> Letter search can be accessed only using the right side of the screen so only right handed people can use it easily.... left handed have to do some yoga ;-)
____(PocketCM uses both sides)

That's from me....
I uninstalled it so.. no more opinions

I'm talking program memory (while running), not device memory (disk space).

Nice application.
Anyone to compare it with PocketCM Contacts?

Well here's my brief unbiased review:

I've used FunContact extensively for the past week and have been using PocketCM Contacts for a month now. Honestly FunContact is a direct rip-off of PocketCM, right down to aesthetics and functionality. There's even a PocketCM skin that looks exactly like FunContact (check PocketCM boards). FunContact is a VERY well-coded, stable and slick affair...I like the fact that it uses the default Pocket Outlook Mobile for sms purposes unlike PocketCM's using it's built in threaded sms (PocketCM's implementation of threaded sms is hella nice but I just prefer the plain old vanilla sms). With the exception of the threaded sms, the two apps are virtually identical in functionality and, with PocketCM skins, in aesthetics too.

Three things made me uninstall this and stick with PocketCM:

PocketCM = 700kb memory footprint. FunContact= 2.5MB :shock::shock::shock: WTF???!!!???

PocketCM is easily skinnable (I'm actually creating/modding a skin of my own right now).

Now I honestly feel FunContact is a real nice app...but PocketCM accomplishes the same with a VERY MINUTE fraction of the memory cost and is also skinnable...and that's just my two cents. It baffles me how one app can bundle a contacts manager + threaded sms at under 800kb memory usage and the other offers only the contact manager at almost 3MB memory cost.

Same issue here - I think it might be because I'm running 2003SE - do you have WM5/6 or 2003?

Yeah, there's probably a separate WM 2003SE version, because this one doesn't work properly (can't make a new contact or view more details (standard contacts page) for a selected content, SMS button doesn't properly work (need to press many times usually), etc.).

And you can't even access the standard Contacts app, as this replaces all shortcuts with a link to itself (e.g. hardware buttons, new contacts link, etc.).

Any ideas / anyone have the correct version?
