Hi All,
Installed ultimate recorder V3.01 but there was beep while call recording. Then removed this and installed Killer Total Recall and threre was no beep. but Total
recall has limitation, not to record memo/voice notes with assigning keys.
So i kept both, now there is no beep while call recording and i can take voice notes by pressing assigned keys i.e default #0.But you have to keep running both recorders.
This is for those who are unable to install ultimate recorder V4.01 or getting difficult to sign files at symbiansigned, required for ultimate V4.01 and want to stay with V3.01 and don't want beep while call recording.

Great work but put it into the thread where you found the app. Moved from OS9.1 Apps - Dansco

Would have been more effective if you posted in ultimate recorder thread itself...
Anyways a nice tutorial...
Will be very useful for many...
Thread moved to how to section...

Got me a 6120c and annoying beep of course.
The "beep" itself is a sound file thats sits somewhere on the restricted drive Z. I Dont recall where but its named Beep.somthing
Now, there is a thread on how to release these restrictions...
Should be as simple as replacing the beep file with an empty/silent one.
Havent tried this. Too lazy/busy.
Would be happy to know if this works though...
edit: I think the restrictions were liften on C, not on Z. would be nice though...

There is a file named Beep.nrg in drive Z, between other embeded ringtones of the phone, but even if you have hacked the platform and can see it, it is Read Only and can't be changed or deleted. Even changing the "Read Only" attribute can't help, because it returned to the same state again.
Also there isn't such file on C (I can search, see and change all of the system files on C), so ididittoyo's suggestion seems useless.
I have solved my problem with UVR with a simple trick:
It seems that everytime I consume the RAM very deeply, the "no Beep" setting of UVR is reset and the beep returns. In such cases, I simply exit and restart the UVR (not the phone!) 1 or even twice respectively and it REFIRMs its setting again and the beep disappear until atlease some hours!
