I think major of mainboard can support pentium 4 processor.
But if u want using dual core or core duo, better check to ur mainboard website.
Myk!

Yes you can change to P4 as long as the pin number of your Processor is the same.
Cheers!

There is no trick. You just have money to buy a new processor that fits to your motherboard. Thats all.

You can change your celeron processor into a Pentium 4 processor. But the question is, what processor socket does your motherboard have? Is it a socket 478 or the new pinless LGA775?? If your motherboard has a socket 478, then you can buy mostly 2nd hand Pentium 4 processors, I think the fastest is the 3.0Ghz for the socket 478, just forgot the model number..If it is a LGA775 then you can buy almost anything..But still make sure that your motherboard chipset recognizes your processor...
If your not sure of what socket your processor is and also what motherboard chipset is used, search and download CPUZ, you can download it at betanews.com or at download.com.
download it and run, and it will show you complete details of your processor and also chipset details for your motherboard.
In that way you can surely buy the right thing..
