juste tested it..

works fine with wifi connection, but when i try o connect with gsm or hsdpa, it says no resposne rom servers.

i guess it is limited to UK, since they pay for this service.

but i found workaround. i record track with shazam, and then when it tryes to connect to analyze, i deny access, it then stores for later analisys.

when i get home, i connect via wifi, and then let it do its work.
since i neet to know name of song when i am at home, (ares, shareaza:-) )
it is no trouble for me to use it this way.

I am in croatia, on VIP-vodafone network btw.

This program is crazy! It must convert the 10 sec sample into a digital waveform and upload it to the shazam servers for a match. I recorded the first 10 secs of the Simpsons intro off my TV and it recognised it! Incredible speed too!

oh yeah, this Shazam can't recognized the Chinese and Indonesian songs.
I tried many songs of it. from the latest one until the oldiest/ still can't recognized

but in TrackID (Sony Ericsson), it can recognized Chinese and Indonesian songs. Is there another application that can recognized chinese and indonesian songs

did anyone try to record from the built in radio? I can record from the music player and from internet radio, but when i try from the fm tuner, it simply doesnt record.. I'm using an n95

Works on n95 8gb ... great with wifi great with 3g great with edge .... only problem is ... I'm curious what database it uses .. it doesn't seem to find too many electronic music artists ...

I'm having problem with connections....Is this a bug or something how do I fix this...When I start app. it asks me to Allow connection I choose YES but it never asks me WHICH connection to use, bacause I have several connection and one of them is ADSL over Hiisi and the Shazam allways chooses this connection. So I have to delete that connection start app. then it asks me to choose what conn. to use and it works...but as soon as I create new connection it changes to it again. I have tried changing settings from never ask ti conn. to ask allways but same thing......

Any idea on how to make it work on 6124? The problem is when it tries to connect to the internet...it says "Unable to get connection. Please try again later". I think that it doesn't connect with the right settings. Any idea on how to make it go thru the correct connection settings?

Doesn't work on my 5800. I re-signed it to prevent cert error but after recording a track it keeps crashing calling an error. The new version from shazam.com might work, but it wants me to send an sms and pay 2 pounds per month!

Does anybody know a cracked Version or can recommend a similar service?

I have the same prolem like some others here. Have a Nokia E71. If I'm using a wifi connection the program works pretty well. If I'm using 3g it can not connect to the server (most of the time), sometimes it works. I think the program requires a fast internet connection to send the music sample. On 2g it never worked so far. Most of the time it's analyzing for minutes and then just closes.

Anyone has any suggestions? Its a shame, cause otherwise it works quite well, but like this it's not usable.

You can install it on phone-memory or on MMC : both work.

i understand, but on my n95 8gb it automatically installs on phone memory and during the installation it does not ask where i wanna install it :(

I was also struggling to get this to install on my MMC
(I have (H) N95-3 Fw 20.2)

So I tried to give it a go with mucking with the file... which is a warning sign right there =P
Anyhow this is what I got. (My Attatchment at bottom.)
I have tried it myself, I wouldn't upload a program I fiddled with that I didn't test =) it does give the option to install to MMC, & it seems to work nicely.

It is unsigned unfortunatly.
I did encounter a small bug on my first attempt which meant unless you "tagged" the song immediately it would not save for later "tagging" if you exited the program. This seems fixed.

The initial "Free" application that we could have going with our mobile phone on [Only registered and activated users can see links] as been upgraded and ... is no more free.

The logo has changed, and when we start we have the choice between :

Even if trying to send an SMS, register fails and ask to try later. As the service is mentionned to be only available in UK, and as my # is not from UK, register is not possible unfortunately.

Version is 1.00(21) strange because previous one I had on my N95 was 1.97(0)

Maybe a future cxxxx version would enable not to have to register anymore ...

To run this app on Nokia E63:

Change your date to 02/01/2008 and it will work. Also, if you get an unsigned error, got to application manager in Apps- Utilities, go to options and turn off signings.

My Edge netwrk packag plan isnt that good..so i m afraid that this app would cost me tooooo much..coz it obviously uploads the tagged song smwhere for recognition, which will have a heavy data rate....

Well i just tried the "s60v5" version, and all it did was insert a theme, and then hung the phone! Shazam site says s60v5 has been tested and isnt compatible.

When it will be available for Nokia 5800(cracked ( it is thourgh ovi store, but not free))..

If it is available in the ovistore, then it doesn't need to be cracked at all...
Every application in the ovistore can be bought (by 1) and installed on any number of devices for free.
And moreover, it is original and already certified! ;)

I have used the program with no problems at all with my N85. After a hard reset, and reinstallations, Shazam ID crashes whenever I used it with my bluetooth device! Has anyone faced the same problems?

I cant find out how to get this working on my 6220c. Where are alert tones? I can only find warning tones.

Hi, I can change the date no problem, but just wondering if anyone can advise why this is happening. Before I updated my N95 8GB to v35 firmware, it installed OK. Now after the update, I get the expired certificate error. I didn't change the date before, so why do I need to do it now? I suppose I could always try signing it for a lark with my dev cert?

The program says it's a free trial. Does that apply to all features? I only really need the tagging features. I don't remember the trial warning appearng when I installed this before my firmware upgrade. Nokia N95 8GB.

I press "Tag Now" , it say : "recording.." -> "Allow network connection? " i press Yes ,
then it can't connect to internet, error message , and say " analysing..." and is stop here..
