ROUTE66 you must sing!! Maps not included.

- Extract rar,
- sign the sis, (http://www.modryzub.net/index.php?topic=513.0)
- Install signed app.
- Copy your maps (not included) into system/apps/ROUTE66/maps
(you need maps for symbian, not ppc)
- Test application
- If activation required, choose activate via itnernet and digit <16> character. Make sure 16 and not more!!!

If don't work, try formatting minisd AND hard reseting your phone.

- Problems may appear if you have previously tested other Route 66 version with different ApplicationID (Not original may have different AppID, this release should have the same AppID like original).

- Just resetting phone may not be enough because at restart the phone install signature from microsd.

- Just formatting microsd may not be enough because phone store signature into internal memory.

- If it crash calculating path, try another map.

This package is known multilanguage Symbian Route 66 Mobile 7 v2/3. Only this package mysteriously works well with internal N95's GPS receiver !
It does not ask BT connection at startup and doesn't exists the item "STANDARD GPS" in preferences --> navigation menu. Incredible... but, after some time, satellites fix happens by N95 inside GPS receiver!

First fix may take up to 10 minutes or more.
next fix less then a minute.

No need to open internal GPS status application (even if you want see how much sattelite available)

Maps not included.

Main problem with 6110 navigator:
R66 is already installed and I don't see any way to remove it. So I cant change it with a signed version.
Any maps I try to install are locked. How to unlock them?

Now, all the Route66 software just closes not long after opening... need help..

I have an N95-3 (M160) on Telstra Next G Network.. firmware won't update (firmware version 10.2.006 - Nokia software updater says its upto date). Should I use Nemisis Multi flasher to change the phone code (thus removing the Telstra branding) and update the firmware?

I had the same problem, but once I installed the map it worked, I installed R66 on the Memory card and then installed the maps via a card reader.

i have installed route 66 on my n95 what a waste of time - as it does NOT work with the internet GPS it tries to search/connect to external bluetooth gps device!

if you have problem "Resource files are missing" you must copy maps to memory card first then open app

YES! Route 66 what You have in 6110 Navigator is vers.8 .That's totally different program and DO NOT effect vers 7. Enjoy!

convertor not existed, you must download .PRM maps only for this version R66

Thanks for you reply - I did eventually get it to work, but the navigation would sometimes lock for a short period (usually at interections) and I gave up (after trying several different things like reloading software several times).

I've got Garmin Mobile XT up and running and couldn't be happier.

It's because there aren't enogh satelites above your area. Try Assisted GPS. It works for me. (I live in Macedonia, Balkans)

and i get an "no gps" error. what should i do ? this might be because r66 couldn't find my internal gps ?
