There are reports that it works without Modchip too, but i couldn't get it to work. So if anyone does manage to get it to work on a PS2 without a modchip, Please post regarding the same so that i can suitably adjust the thread.

ashik666; You need a modchip to make this work. It might work with the swap magic. It will not just work with a harddrive.. OH and you can connect certain HDD to a PS2 Slim.

hxxp://www.ipmart-forum.com/showthread.php?t=180691 -- this link should work, just scroll down a little!

Have Fun

clever me!!!!!!!!! a little slow there....... but it might be useful for someone out there

You dont need a modchip...............use free mcboot on your memorycard or buy a memor32 and play music, movies or games from usb-stick or usb hdd

I have a brand new ps2 slim a memor32 and over 50 working games on a 500GB usb disk

Works very good but can be a little slow to load sometimes

it even works with the laser broken ,ha ha
