Yes same here. I can not uninstall,too. I did everythig but nothing. It reinstall itself again. Impossible to uninstall for me.

plus the application has a bug i think.. when the "alarm on changed sim card" option is enabled, the alarm starts to sound at restart even if the sim card is not changed.

1st go to settings - sms text to attack then write any command you want
'alert' is an example .. after that you will get a reply to inform you that your phone is in the alert mode,
now you can lock it by sending 'lock' command to it.

or you can install this app in some of your friend's phone & add your number to the mobiles list :)
note: you need to disable all other features just for spying only!
edit : i think you can't install it on your friend's phone coz after you send him the alert command all his data will be hidden including phone book,sounds,images....etc :(

Though this is a very good app, but when one tries to uninstall it from the app itself, it does not get uninstalled really, but only gets deactivated (i.e upon pressing the hotkey it does not pop up). Even when one deletes all the related files from the system folder, they again pop up back after sometime. It does need some kind of a tool for complete removal ( although, why anybody would like to uninstall such a good app? but still ....) .Can anybody help?

I think I tested this one, and it look like it works but is not reacting to a alert or lock sms.

After sending a sms with "lock" it received the sms normally but noting is happening, thereafter it will not show up after 123456 anymore and you have to reinstall or remove the application.

Very nice prot/spy soft with a few bugs, but only way for complete uninstall him is *#7370#

other way is that you go to your c drive through any file explorer and delete all files in the c:\system\vms folder..

This app cannot be uninstall completely. There are some files even if you uninstall it in c:\system\data contacts.cdb , Logdbu.dat and if you try to delete them there is an "already in use" error. I couldn't find any way to delete them.

Ahh then I am sorry about it but I noticed that If I choose lock contacts "contacts.cdb" file's size is getting to 345kb and this file normally 52 kb. And I thought that it belongs to this app.

I tested VMS on clean 7610 with factory settings (without external softs), so...


1. When I try to use default uninstall option (previously turn Off/Disabled all On/Enabled options in VMS)...

2. With FExplorer I Kill all processes, delete all files from sistem (install dir's), reboot... But, VMS shows again like he never been deleted :)

i have a very bad problem with this application! i charged my phone and turned it off.. a minute later.. and the VMS suddenly ALARMED.. i opened my phone and turned off the VMS.. after a while.. all of my files were locced... now i can't view my pictures videos contacts and also sms.. what shall i do?? i opened the vms's website but their website is down.. somebody please help..

In Nokia 6260 because of wrong uninstall, this app constantly beeping after phone reboot ... then, it has survive two hard formats(Green dial key, star key & no. 3 key ...) ... beeps constantly after phone start up ...
Only way to remove it was formating phone without MMC inside. Why & how - i don't know. ;)

Well accroding to VMS site, you dont need to make them visible b4 unistallation, coz it will be visible after the uninstallation...that's default...

(Well the program is definitely betten then Guardian in some ways..like auto call answer..but still the plugins support of Guardian is not in this software...though this software contains a lot of errors and problems...i hope it will be ok in near future...as it's just a beginning...)

i didn't made this problem by myself actually.. the problem is that this application has a bug.. why would it turn its alarm where i didn't actually changed my sim card? do you think that's not a bug??

you really got to help me.... how to ged rid of this prog????
coz i installed it in to my gfriend's phone, and she's gonna kill me, i tried to uninstall both from the program and manually with explorer, both didn't work, and even my griend's contact all disappear

read on page 3 and 4, you would find the way
otherwise the only option left is to format her phone.. *without her seeing u do it*

PS: contacts/messages/gallery-images can be recovered by using the decrypt all option from the application menu.

i tried everything, install again, decrypt, choose "no", delete with fexplorer, and even i rename all those vms related files, but it still there, soft format won't do anything useful , do i have to flash the phone? :(

no.. just do the following..

this is known as hard reset and need some practicing..

you need to hold all the 4 keys i mention one after the other and keep them all pressed until your phone screen shows "FORMATTING" progress bar..

1st -> */+ key
2nd -> 3
3rd -> call reject (red one) button
4th -> switch on button

remember to press them in order and keep them all pressed till the progress bar appears.

you may need someone to help you with the keys.. afterall we have only 2 hands dont we.. ;)

(i always do this on my 3230/3650).

but all my contacts are gone, i think they are still hidden, when i use nokia pc suite, all of them are still exist in my memory card, pls advise how to show all of my contacts again,,

The vms does not hide anything, it just changes the extension of the files so that they cannot be opened using the respective application(it changes all extension to ".vmsx"). If somehow one can access the phone memeory and take out the contacts (with changed extensions) with fileman or anyother, then it will be very easy to change the extension and put the original extension. I guess the extension for contacts files is ".vcf".

To remove the software what i had done is kill the all the threads of vms application using the Taskspy software and then deleted all the vms related files usin fileman and kept the mobile like that for an hour or so and found that is hasnt poped back. May be you can give it a try?

hi plz some one help me I installed it on my N70 after installing I configure it but not totally I closed the programe I and see it in MY Own Programs Folder but It was not there after it I saw manager but still not saw there any VMS application then I tried to install it again When I installed it again then My Phone goes hanged and I restart it but It is not got startup completly and showing only Nokia Logo Which is come in starting help now what I do?

hi am new here.but had da same ol problem that i gave my phone(which had VMS installed in it 2 my dad )but da sirens started ....i didnt know wat 2 do....so i just deleted all da files in the phone memory related 2 VMS as stated by JARBAMARE(but i didnt know of it then) and then i saw i file in the mmc which has da name of my IMIE number and some extension(dont remember) i deleted it too..

and voila!!! the software waz removed completely frm da phone.now i cud change da phone...and do all the things which we do in a normal phone...

well, i have uninstalled the software succesfully doing this: uninstalling from programs menu, then going with files explorer to c:\system\apps\ and deleting vms_locker2 and test_view folders. thats all ;)

i uninstalled this app by removing the vms.app in here c:\system\apps\ and deleting vms_locker2. then i also removed the vms.wav in the data folder...after that i restarted the phone and the application is no longer present but the other files are still intact. just dont mind the other files because they are now useless....i tried this because i also can't uninstall but what annoys me is the sound of the alarm which sounds everytime i remove the files. its working perfectly now...give it a try guys

if u ve seen the program aired on tv..it says that if ur fone is stolen & u want 2 contact the thief..u call 4rm the no u assigned in ur fone & the thief cant disconnect (BY PRESSING END CALL BUTTON!!) ur call unless u disconn it.IT WORKS. I'VE TRIED THE APP DUDE!
But if the THIEF presses OPTIONS>REJECT while he is receiving my call,he can surely DISCONNECT!! Isn't that a bug in the appln..??

Its for those who want to uninstall Innova Technologies VMS .

1. To uninstall Innova Technologies VMS , U need F-explorer , SeleQ , X-Plore or any other file manager ...

2. Delete the following files :
C < system < apps < VMS ....... the entire folder
C < system < apps < test_views ...... the entire folder

All the files named VMS in the following folders ( not the entire folder , just the files with VMS in their name ) :
Drive C/E < system < programs
Drive C/E < system < recogs

3. Now search your Memory Card for all the files with name VMS in it . Delete all those files .

4. Search for the file named with your IMEI number in your memory card . Delete this file also .

Note : Its a must to delete all those files . If U leave any then the programme will reappear . .:ilove:

Refer Post number 125 of this thread . Try it and make sure U delete ALL the files . I have tried it on 3 phones and it is working just great .

1. c-system-apps-test_view3 ...... all the files in this folder and then delete the folder .

works fine in Nokia N70ME but my GoBible arrow keys became in opposite directions. the left key goes to the right, the up key goes to down and so on.

If U are uninstalling the way I have mentioned before , then U won't loose anything .... if u want to format then be careful .... I think formatting the phone will not help . Use back-up softwares to make a back-up of your contacts and other data before going for formatting .

will restore my contacts or photos or mp3 ringtones.
coz i think this app change the file extensions as well as
change the data in some way.
coz when i change those vmsx files back to original formats,
using the fexplore,still they can't b opened.
plz advise more on this unfortunate matter.
the programmer should do something about this.

Its for those who want to uninstall Innova Technologies VMS .

1. To uninstall Innova Technologies VMS , U need F-explorer , SeleQ , X-Plore or any other file manager ...

2. Delete the following files :
C < system < apps < VMS ....... the entire folder
C < system < apps < test_views ...... the entire folder

All the files named VMS in the following folders ( not the entire folder , just the files with VMS in their name ) :
Drive C/E < system < programs
Drive C/E < system < recogs

3. Now search your Memory Card for all the files with name VMS in it . Delete all those files .

4. Search for the file named with your IMEI number in your memory card . Delete this file also .

Note : Its a must to delete all those files . If U leave any then the programme will reappear . .:ilove:

Re-install the software and then try to decrypt .

- reisntall the application
- decrypt all of your contact,gallery, etc..
- delete the file named your IMEI number
- delete the VMS and test view folder in drive C:
- delete the file named VMS in data folder C:
- delete the file named VMS in recogs & program folder in C:
- delete the file named VMS in recogs,data, Libs, or program in E:
- then restart ur phone

For all Nokia's, even with the locked keyboard, THE way to reset your phone and get it back to genuine is this:

The "Vulcan death grip" (SEND-key + * + 3 )
this is a "reformat" reset in case of a phone which is locked or doesn't work, or in case you can not de-install any software.
Turn off your Nokia,
press the "3 key", the "green call key", the " * key" all simultaniously.
Keep them pressed while presing the "power-on key", until reset is completed (about 30 sec's).

Now your phone is back to genuine, as if you just bought it.

Does this app write to rom drive ? I think it does cos I now see Test folder and Testsrv.bat in my 6680 'z' drive. I think only way to totally remove this app is a flash option. Though I appreciate the cracker's work I think this app is more of a nuisance itself. Just my thought.

Thanks for your reply. When I first installed this apps nothing came in the menu. So my first thought it does not work on my 6680. Then last week I changed my sim card. That's when my problem started. A loud siren went off non stop. Went panic when switching back sim card does not stop it. Then tried *#7780#..then *#7370#. Both failed. Last resort tried the
'*,3 and green button' method and still the siren went off soon after it completed formatting. Then took the battery out for 1 hour and removed the memory card and did a hard format. This worked as the siren did not go off. I reformat the mmc and installed a file manager. That when I found out that it had the 'Test' folder containing an exe file and a testsrv.bat file in rom drive. Sorry to say I've not come across an app as nuisance as this.

Btw. SMS comand r, whan someone stole u"r mob u sand message 2 him, n mob will be block n lock-ed, n if u setup message screen it will show him. It cant be remuved.

I was not able to find any file naming my IMEI number and there were no files with the name vms in E drive. Could you plz let us know the locations where these files can be found so that I can re-check. When I delete all the vms files in c drive and exit fexplorer they reappear in the c drive. plz help
