MioMap v3 offers a smoother, clearer and more detailed display than ever before. However fast you scroll, pan, turn or zoom, the map retains the same high quality throughout. Together with the user-friendly interface and clear menus, MioMap v3 guides you to your destination quickly and with a minimum of fuss. MioMap v3 conveniently displays the locations of all known speed cameras, as well as the likely sites of mobile ones. You can have both visual and audio warnings alerting you when a speed cam is in your vicinity. It's very easy to add new locations to your device when new cameras are placed. You can even synchronise your device with the MioMap database to download the latest locations, added by other users. MioMap v3 makes it fast and easy to locate a POI. If you know what you're looking for, just type in the name to get the exact location. And if you want to find something in a specific area, whether it's on the way to a destination or once you've arrived there, you can search local POIs grouped into logical, simple to navigate lists like restaurants, service stations and hotels.

Instructions:
No need to install
Unrar to wherever you want on your PocketPC
Run MioMap.exe

* Added Basemap
* Added Russian, Hebrew and English voices

Here is the installer version

Copy all the content to SD
Run miomapinstall.exe (do not try to install with autorun)
After first start and "HardwareIDError" replace the licence.db with the one from crack folder.
Run the application
Delete the 2577 folder

Dear All,

just installed the installer version (BigPapa) and it works fine on my HTC TyTN II.

I just have a question: Speedcams? Where to put the file and in what format?
The old v´3.2 the file was named SceepCams.mtc and was located in the MioMap\miotc\pois folder.

In settings I can't find the "Activate SpeedCams-button as in the v3.2 version)

I use swedish male voice, and You can select any language and if avalible femaleor male voice of your choise asuming You have the voice files. I 'm using my older v3.2 files and maps. But I don't think it will read the street names...?

When do you want to use this feature? I have been using MioMap v3.x for 1½ year, but don't see the benefit?
While searching for street name to navigate to, or while driving?
Please explain.

In my version of MioMap there is a folder for Languages (giving you the text in the user interface in your language) and a flder voice (where you can have voice guidence in a language of your choice).
This means the voice will tell you: turn right in 500 meters, make a u-turn, keep in the left lane etc, but it will not tell you on which road/street you are driving.

After I install the program, when I'm going to execute it it says something like "you need at least 12 MB of free RAM to run this application". Previous version asked only for 6 MB.

Is there any variable in register or any file that I could edit to change this startup memory requisit? I don't have that much RAM avaiable and I can't free any memory to achieve this memory goal. Anyone else encontered this problem?

P.S.: I'm using HTC Herald (P4350) with WM6.

i replaced the files in the zip into my miomap folder, when i run it, i got this error:

Guy's i think that the upgrade failed because it's not for the PDA version but for the large PNA screen resolution.
EDIT:
I have found this update on two different forums BUT IT WAS ONLY FOR PNA,please backup your files before attempting the upgrade as you may end up with a non working Prog.
I think that Bathrinath should look into it .

Anyway, prog running great, (BigPappa) only prob, cant get the map/s out of r.i.p.

Ok with for instance-Botswana 2007.05 by Tele Atlas but realy need UK maps (circa late 2007)that i used with Igo8 (not enough screen real estate for me) to work.

Cant get any licence i can get hold of to work, or am i missing something?

I am talking about miomap v3.3 for PNA not PDA. I ordered a GPS item from China and I got 2 days ago. Since 2 days I have been trying to put mio V3.3 on it but I get HardwareIDerror. I couldn't find any solution.

- TTS works fine for this PDA version of MioMaps 3.3 on my Mio 168 WM2003.

To enable TTS:

The following steps are from sbihue @ PPCWarez

1. Download the following files and extract the files into respective folders.

I followed this instructions for tts but it doesn't work on HTC Touch.

Hello, I have a mio p560 and I can`t run this program from it`s built-in My Flash Disk (it`s a 2GB memory). I can run it only from my Storage Card, and I don`t want that. I bought this pda to be able to use it only with it`s internal memory. Any ideas?

Hello all.

Does this thing still work?
I tried to install it from mammamia archive, and managed to start the program only once.
But, since I had no maps besides basemap, it was useless.
Now, when I copied some iGO maps into miomap/maps folder on my sd card, program kept sayng that my maps are outdated???

Then I deleted the whole folder and used bigpapa archive and did a regular install, but then I got problem with data.zip which was not to be found under windows\miomap folder?
When I've put it there, program crashed and made a core dump, believe it or not!

After that, to have the thing even more fantastic, I returned mammamia archive back to sd card, but alas - keeps saying that my maps are outdated.

Tried changing sys.txt to add mappath trick, nothing helps...

HP IPAQ HX2490 is my PDA, and just to mention that iGO 2006 works nice with same maps.

Anybody has any ideas?

Hello, I have the exact same problem. It keeps saying some of my maps are outdated, even though I put iGO8 maps in the map folder in the SD card. I am using Canada8_2007.07_071010.fbl and USA_Michigan8_2007.07_071010.fbl maps. Now, I am not sure if it is the iGO8 maps that are outdated or the base map that came with the software (NIMA VMAP0[060811]. This basemap appears to be from 2006. I loaded iGO8 basemap (Basemap8_2007.07_080117.fbl) in addition to the basemap that came with the software, but that didn't help. It still does not appear to load or recognize any of the maps, including the basemaps.
Did you ever find a solution to the problem? By the way, I am using an 8GB microSD card with the SDHC patch.
