TTuser, thanks for updating the modifications. TTS works fine on my TT1 with almost all the modified navcore versions, but I have never got the voices or mp3 working. Could these two be related? Whenever I try either non-TTS voice or mp3, the system would not make any sound anymore, not even the TTS, until I reboot it. Do you know what the problem would be? Thanks!

Try, delete most from Card and copy all new, very fast give it corrupt files. Or you try this, copy to Card, boot, close, and after this copy back the original ttn.

Still no luck TTuser...awesome work though!!! The TTOne LE is bluetooth capable...is there anyway to get this to work with mobile phones (i.e. someone calls and the TT displays who the call is)

Installed on TT ONe 3rd edition.
/Appears/ to be working, even with TTS (albeit intermittently).
But trying to enter any address in either the navigate to or prepare route screens, regardless of method (city center, housenumber, zip code, etc) will result in the unit resetting.

But on a positive note, 7.221 brought the full menus back, and I was able to use Name Preferences to put the house numbers in front of the street names, where they belong. This setting remained set (even though the menu point disappeared again) when I put 7.161 back on. That was pretty much my biggest complaint about the One 3rd. So now that this is fixed, I can patiently await "official" updates.

No, handsfree didn't really get fixed until 7.161, so Zibri's old firmware won't work. Actually, 7.161 is the only firmware that seems to work well for handsfree. The higher numbered v7 firmware doesn't seem to work for handsfree either.

Maybe I am in luck but with Zibri's version it seems that my Motorola v3 is more or less working fine and I do not appreciate nor echo neither noise or at least is not as noticeable as the SE 7.221.857 build.

With this navcore version, my 710 don't recognize pc connection (works only with 7.161)
Microphone works only in voice menù (I can register my voice instructions).

ok, I forgot to delete the bar folder, thats done so it all works but no TTS and no mapshare so all in all no need to change from the Zibri crack as everything works on his crack.

Sorry but hands free not works with external speaker in our 910.

The external speaker is for instructions and mp3, and really do not run in navcore 7.22, but it's so easy like use 7.161,

I configure the car like arrow and the fast menu with the navcore 7.22 or 7.12 or Zibri's 7.101 and return at 7.161.
The car and fast menu are fixed now in the nav.7.161.

I must say that I pass from one navcore to other only rewriting, Data.chk and ttsystem,
the archives ttn and ttn72218572 are in the hard disc's tt910 but only will be used when you rewrite ttsystem and data.chk of 7.22 navcore

I just notice there is a problem with this update on my TT1 v4. if i go to navigate to->address-> any icon in there will hang the device.
BTW:With the this update, i can send files from my pc to my tomtom from bluetooth. it's cool! and I almost got it connect my bluetooth earphone as hi-fi device. but finally failed to auth.

I have tried to install this new version on my GO 910, it's OK for TTS but not for speetch recognition, only the street number is requested to be input by voice. The Bluetooth connect OK but no sound in the speaker. It seems that in new maps v.7 are a files called cspeech_xxx.dat that are necessary to run this feature.

I've read that fm transmiter can runs having a modification in the folder bar, but I don't understand how, with program called Hexicode?
We could have the same with the files from folder bar that controls the external speaker?

May I put the needed files CSSPEECH_ for french recognition, for now the numbers are the only thing recognized.
If some body has the csspeech_ files I will be very happy to try them in my map directory to see if speech recognition is working....

I got a 2 problems with Navcore SE 7.221.8572 on my Go500

First one is that my Go getting frozen at "Navigate to...". Staying frozen for few seconds and then reboot by himself.

...and the second problem I got with a voice. When I am trying to choice a Voice and I am pressing "test", voice is working only once and then the sound is gone. I can switch the voice to another one, but the problem is the same... I can hear "test" only once.

Any ideas how to fix those both problems?

Updated my 510 with 7.221 and everything is working except the FM Transmitting. It acts like it is working, I can choose the frequency, but nothing comes out of the radio. Is this something that just won't work with the 510?

Just convert my 910 with the 7.221.8572 incl the v7 map en it looks like a 720 or maybey a 920 interface.Everything works incl voice rec.

Holy god I think I got this thing working....with TTS on my ONE! Yay!

so i noticed something about this firmware on the 510. Everyone knows that bluetooth doesn't work as intended with this firmware on it (i.e. bad echo). However, when the model id is changed in the ttn or bar folder from 18 to 9 (the 910 model id) the echo goes away, altough as do the navcore 7 look and menus. so, im guessing that the problem doesn't lay with the bluetooth in this firmware as originally thought, but rather something like echo reduction that gets disabled or isn't the kinda needed by the x10s when the new model id is presented to this firmware.

So.. with that thought, would there be a way to modify just the bluetooth/echo reduction part of this firmware to think it's a x10 and let everything else think its a x20?

Really? Hmm.. A lot of ppl and myself included have echo problems with the 7.221 firmware on the 510. Some people say its ok with fm transmitter tho. Like on my 510, I cant hear the echo, only the people calling me that I'm talking to can. They all say they can hear what they just said echo back to them..

no im using the internal mic on my 510. what about you?

i am using external microphone tomtom plugged on fm mount

I'm just using the internal mike, and for most of the calls I had the volume up pretty high.

Hi, i have the 910 icm nokia 6230i, perfect sound quality. (internal mic.)

Firts, I have had problems with installing the patched version, so this is what i did.

first install the "original" 910 firmware (i used a backup from the original disk)
It will be something like 6.****
Then use clearflash.
After that instal the "cracked V7 map you desire,
next use the 7.221.8572 firmware.
After startup i deleted my old phone settings en then i searched for phones.
When it will be discovered en istalled everything works like a "breast".

I tested everything including the phone connection, sound is terrific and no eccho wathever.

Its always a Device, Phone, Environment, something related Problem, not only the Firmware is debt.

I don't have these problems at all with your 7.163 firmware though. Just this 7.221 firmware has the echo callers hear on my 510.

I got it all to work at my TomTomOne V2, but without sound. Does anyone know how to fix this?

can any one help i have installed this navcore i have a tomtom one ver one ver 7 maps and also tts after the install i have noticed that if i just have it switched on and dont plan a route its great but when i plan a route it seems to slow right down the icon moves in a jerkey movement often behind where i ma actually travelling and also the tts is very slow in giveing me directions the speed camera warnings dont work has any body else had the same problem if so how can i fix it

With the TT1 topman96 there is only 32 meg of memory. If you are using all the features that are made for the 720 or go's [which have much more memory] you will find that warnings will stop etc as described by you.

You will always get slightly jerky movement especially is using 3D as it uses a great deal more memory.
Also if using TTS that will also slow you down.

Suggestion. Make sure that you only have Red light cameras etc shown on the map plus just a couple of others, use 2D, make sure you have a fast SD card with plenty of space as, to my knowledge, the TT reads from the SD card. Make sure that it is defraged as well.
Once you have done this, reboot and you should get it all working again. You might have to go to voices and select what you want again.

Mind you I use the Zibri crack plus the V.7 map ]thanks to Sergios, TTuser and CCRSS

I have installed this firmware 7.221 on my GO 910 and the map is WE & CE 710.1561, every thing is OK (speech recognition etc....) but the Bluetooth connect the phone , when I call a number , the connection is estabished then there is no sound in the speaker. When I return back to 7.162 I have a V7 light but the hand free is olmost OK.... What can I do?

I upgraded to a 4gb sd card and now I am having Hands Free Calling problems. Before this, I had a big green hand set icon on the map screen, above the Quick Access icon. I pushed it and up popped the voice activated dialing. I could say the phone number, and it would dial.

I took my old 2gb sd card, and backed it up with WinRar, then extracted it to the new 4gb sd card. Now the hand set icon is gone, and there is no sign of voice activated dialing anywhere. I can type in a phone number and it dials, and I can do voice activated navigation no problem, but no dialing. I can't figure out what happened.

Any ideas?

Hi Poetjustice,after install the 7.221.8572 version from TTUSSER on my GO 500,i have the same problems like you,but when i uninstall the asr & audiobooks and loquendo tts directory,s it works great.
I dont like te tts so that is no problem for me,but maybe the Loquendo work with the GO500,i dont have try that so you can maybe not deleted your Loquendo directory.

Maybe you have to remove the speech files in the WE 7.10.1561 full version,about 300 megabyt.

I tried 1.7Gb map with navcore SE 7.162 by TTuser and works well!

summarizing:

navcore SE 7.162 - WE 1Gb = works
navcore SE 7.162 - WE 1.7Gb = works
navcore SE 7.221 - WE 1Gb = works
navcore SE 7.221 - WE 1.7Gb = tomtom reboot, reboot and reboot.....

for stop reboot, reboot,... when you see splashscreen, after 10 or 15 sec (before reboot), power off your tomtom with the button.
after that power on... normally, it's work.
I had the problem and I solved that way.

The Problem is this Firmware extract not all files correct, and what for files is different for all the Devices. This is why you need the Files in BT Folder. For my 710 need i 2 files more, possibly need you others inside BT. I send you a PN.

It must remain a bug compared to the versions 6.xx. I have a 510.
When the TT is on the support FM, everything runs smoothly. In version 6.xx, when we removed the support FM, the sound went out automatically on HP's TT. With version 7, you lose the sound. We must turn off and turn on the TT to retrieve the sound.
Except this point, everything is perfect for me.

Very good work, line out is now ok with this release on my 910 (on FM mount and 'original' mount).
Still one bugg (my fault i think) for me ===> can't have hands free with fm transmitter (only on internal speaker).
I think it's because i used the 'enable_hands_free_lineout' file before v7
I deleted it but still present somewhere in tomtom and i don't know the way to totaly delete hit's effect.
Don't you have any idear for me ? (tried hard reset, clear flash, restaure v6, default setting by TT menu etc...

Bluetooth echo still here for me on my 510 with Razr v3xx. :(

I don't know what happened when I went from a 2gb sd card to a 4gb card, but I now have the echo too. It happens on all calls to or from the unit now. 510 with Razr v3 too. Didn't have the echo at all until I went to the new sd card.

isn't it possible to put the bluetooth firmware from 7.162 into this firmware?

I have installed the last firmware versionon my GO 910, every thing is working except the hand free which connect well with my T630 but there is no sound in the TomTom speaker. So, the only thing to adjust is the Bluetooth handfree part of this firmware.
The only firmware version V7 which works with handfree are 7.160/161/162 all other V7 version have the same problem, no sound in the TomTom speaker to listen to the phone correspondante.

There is just one little thing:
New version makes build in light sensor useless, because it switches much to early to night colors. Have heard, that it is a problem in general of all new x20.

TTuser: Maybe you know, how to lower firmware's sensitivity of light sensor?

It's not that important, but would make your SE perfect.

The hand free was not fonctionning when I mad a call but when I first received a call the hand free was good I was listening to my correspondant and I was heared by him and even was able to performe a call and every thing was good.
But I had a problem with voice recognition and a message "to wait" appeared on the screen, and after a moment followed by a hard reboot of the GO 910 and after the reboot the hand free was resetted to the non working state! So I have to receive a call to restore the hand free working state! So something must be done to amulate a call received during the first initialisation process to allow the hand free to be operationnal without having to wait for a first call... What do you think about that?

All I did was install TTuser's improved version. :egdance:

I did remove the device profile from my cell phone, for good measure and then reconnected with the TomTom again.

The only two things that are having difficulty for me are, Link volume to noise level under Volume preferences and Turn brightness down when dark under Brightness preferences.

I just unchecked those two and they work fine. Everything else seems to work perfect. :)

Certo :-D...Ma stavo appunto editando, perchè ho capito che la mappa del nord america da 2 gb è meno completa di quella normale, quindi ho scaricato la mappa 7.1 con TTS del Nord America, questa la riconosce, ma se la imposto per utilizzarla si resetta il tomtom sempre...Invece con la mappa europa centrale e occidentale v7.10 nessun problema....

My One V2 device will switch of after about 3 minutes. A screen appears which tells me that the device will be switch of and starts counting backwards from 10 till 0. After that the device is turned off.

Strange because with the former Navcore 7.162 this never happened. I will try a reset.

you can verify if the .meta is correct with the .pna file on the map folder.
have you patch the map with tt7_keygen.exe ?

By me working all Maps:???::???: And the Maps work with a other Version? You can delete or rename ttn, and you have the original Version + V7Maps.

I don't know what happens, is tested in one v1,v2,v3,go700,go300 and now in XL
And I never have seen this kind of bugs.
Try to format sd, charge the official navcore by tthome, and rewrite 7221_SE erasing ASR folder. It's the normal process.

Today I made a little circuit in town with this new firmware, and almoste arrieved at destination the GPS made a hard reboot after having forgotten to announce a right turn to reach the destination. It's the second time that a hard reboot happened with this new version. I am allone or others get this problem?

After more and more tests, handfree works fine only when my 510 in on the FM transmitter.
Without FM transmitter, when i use handfree, I hear nothing.
Several of us have this problem in this forum.
If I take a clearflash, I lose the features, but hands-free working.

I confirm there is no problem with TTuser's navcore 7.162 version.

There is no working key yet for this map. If you need a working NA map right now, try 2GB version instead...

Yes you say it. With a wrong .dct happens exactly this. And with a wrong meta can you never have a right working .dct.:roll:

I have tried this new version, and I got no hard reboot than before but sometime the navigation freezes during several secondes and recover without reboot. I have the feeling that memory management and task management are not fully cleaned for example when mp3 is paying and when you enter a tunnel, when vocal annoncement are performed, MP3 is suspended until satellite will be reestablished at the end of the tunnel..
So something could be done to solve those problems...

For the hand free calling, I had the impression that I had to receive a call first to be able to performe a call, it's not true, it is depending on the call I made and I don't understand the rules, sometime it's OK sometime not... It must be unstable but I don't know witch parameter make it working or not, there should be a threshold of the sound level or something else... thanks anyway for this almost perfect V7 full version and happy new year.

Version 30.12 is best version yet for my 510. :)

No idea why, but it happened to me too, so I just put the proper version (7.162) back on. It will also crash when looking for an address in 'browse map' mode, or even when you try to navigate to city center or zip code.

I had a reboot after a vocal message which started to repeat several times the same thing and then reboot. This nignt when I started from the parking, I was situated on the map at 150 meters away from my real place on an other street and when I began to run away the indications given by voice were complitely wrong and after 200 meters in driving, things returns to normal. It is the first time that I noticed this wrong functionnement and my passenger said, "if you have a GPS telling you wrong informations you have to return it to the store". I bought it in september and I never had this behaviour before. Is it normal?

The gigasize site seems to have an issue with it's verification codes right now.

I have entered the right code a dozen times and when I try to register it tells me my code is incorrect 9when in fact it is correct)

One V2/V4 is slim silver cased unit with black screen surround.

One 3rd Edition (wrongly called V3) is slim silver cased with silver screen surround & NO SD slot.

The firmware works fine in my Go710, but how do I get the small TTS Voices to work? I copied the TTS.rar and Katrin.zip (ca. 45MB) to the right folders, but it does not work. The big TTS voices are working fine (on another SD-card).

Because of the big TTS voice I don't have enough space for the 1,7GB map :angry2:

For me with a TT GO 910 I still have reboots when vacal guidance sarts to repeat or when MP3 repeat to long or when speech recognition ask to wait to long.
For the handsfree side, sometime it works sometime not according to the call, for example, if I call my cellphone provider where an answering machine gives me the remaining time for my allowance, thereis no sound in the TT speaker. If I use version 7.162, That's OK.....
Bluetooth transfer from the Tomtom to my PC it's OK, the other way doesn't works....

So it's almost perfect and thanks again for this version.

tested latest version for x10 on my Go910, two problems so far:

1. light sensor switches much too early to night mode.
2. voice input does not work properly. Instructions for input are much too late so that time for voice input is up already before you even get the chance to say something. In other words: voice input routines need to be faster (don't know, if it's possible)

I installed 7.221 on my TT One XL as described. Works great with the new map Western Europe V7.10.
I couldn't get my Lucy to talk again...
What am I doing wrong? I'd like to have the TTS option, but right now I don't even have normal voice. Voice is selected, but when pushing "test" nothing happens. And yes, the output is set on internal speaker.

Big saskia works without problem. on my Go 300 and Go 710
Used TTS.rar (only for dutch) files, tried also the complete one.
Copied (little) Saskia in map Dutch in the Loquendo map.
deleted the bar map, reinstalled NC SE 7.22.8572
Can choose the Saskia voice, but hear nothing but the test voice.

I used your Navcore navcore_SE_7[1].221.8572.rar (18.018 kb) for both devices.(17,5 MB (18.449.759 bytes))
Bootversion is 5.3006?? ("Opstart" in dutch)

I installed SE 7.221.8575 on my TTGo 910 and everything works good. TTS works very well. I patched also the dll tomtom home's files to connect device with TT home and it works good.

I'm using 7.10 maps.

I tts works but it is very delayed... did i do something wrong or is it that the tt one 3rd edition is to slow to run a computer voice at least one that is compressed.

I'm running One_v2,v3,XL_Navcore_7.221.8572 with the 710.1575 Usa and Canada Map...
MP3 not tested... Poi-alerts aren't setup yet..

I'm currently running on a 3rd edition tt one so my options are limited by space. I can install the full size tts only if I can find a meta for the New England Mid atlantic tts map...

i do experienced the same thing. i think it's because 7.221 is originated from tt x20, and if i'm not wrong, those tt x20 have light sensor or something, but im not sure.
the thing that is not working is my one xl can not acquired signal (freeze) after standby, i have to restart every time i want to use it

Everything seems to work except hands free, I attempted to use hands free using the external microphone and FM transmitter, the phone audio was only broadcast on the right side of the vehicle and the outgoing audio was very muffled and staticy.

I just wanted to make a feedback on the utilisation of the last navecore:
If I don't use MP3 reading during navigation, every thing is perfect. If i lsten to a MP3 during navigation, there is no more fluidity due to conflict with audio between MP3 and vocal message and sometimes MP3 starts repeating or vocal starts repeating and after a while that ends with a hard reboot. The conflict is at audio level or memory access level and should have something to do with a conflict in priority level I think. That never happen with 7.162
I noticed that is the TT GO 910 starts from fresh with this new navecore, after having suppress the BAR directory, every thing is perfect, but if the first problem of reboot happened, after reboot no more fluidity of navigation when MP3 reading is ON. So now, I don't use MP3 to get ride of problems and every thing is OK even the hands free calling option. So Should it be possible to fixe that dysfunctionnement, that will be great?

I think that the CPU can handle all because at the first start of the new navecore every thing is OK even with MP3 playing. If the CPU were not enough powerful, the navigation togather with PM3 playing will never work even at the first start. I will try to delete the BAR directory again and see what will happened then....

The only thing I noticed on my Go710 while navigating (with small TTS Voices) and listening to MP3s was that the map movement lagged a little bit about half a second before an instruction. I didn't get any other porblems with the sound.

Yes only Software limited, Antenna have all the same. Exactly is the different the Setting from mctx.dat, with the right file can you have TMC-Pro with 7.162 or others.

but i have one question regarding V675.1430 (Navteq) Maps: I used it with 6.525 Navcore. Now i tried to install it in addition to the v710 map to your navcore 7 version but TT hangs up at starting. I could not work at all. Deleting and all works again.

TomTom says that maps V675 are supported with Nacore 7. So is this a problem with your "special edition" or are only 675.1409 (Teleatlas) Maps running with Navcore 7 and 1430 (Navteq) not?

I know krystofetbob's problem, and I don't understand why there is this problem...

Tonight, I made a trip after having supressed the BAR directory, and every thing were running nicely until there were a conflict between vocal annoncement, MP3 and after this event, the navigation become very slow and freezing, the vocal annoncement become word by word separeted by blanks But a long time without reboot. And almost arrived at destination a reboot happened. After the reboot, every thing stay slow than before.
I parked my car, and one houre later I exited the parking, I restarted my GO 910, and everything was perfect again!... I realy don't understand???!!!...
MP3, vocal annoncements, navigation and radar annoncement.. every thing perfectly fluante, even handsfree calling without problem but I haven't used voice recognition this time. Finaly I returned back home without any problem this time. It is not rational for me, why everything back to normal for aparently no reason...
TTuser have you any idea of what could be the reason of this abormal behaviour with this new firmware version?

Well first tested with the 7.22 and v7 europe card. TT said no trafiic jams in the neterlands (with tom tom traffic) then i put in my older card 6.75 with navcor 7.62 and there where traffic jams, confirmed it by teletext.

So i guess something in not working correctly, the rest of the firmware works great on my 710 :egdance:

Have upgraded my TT Go 300 and running the New Zealand map i downloaded, all working sweet. Just my custom voices aren't working anymore, just have the US Susan. Any ideas how to make my old custom voices working?

I have installed One v2,v3,XL Navcore_7.221.8572 on my TT XL-S and
everything seems to be working almost perfectly including map NA 710.1584.

The only problem I am having is that there is now no sound from the TT.
I have gone into settings and set all to internal speaker, adjusted the volume
to a high level and tried it with both large voices, small voices, and computer
voices with no luck at all. Also the mp3 player seems to load but will not play
any mp3 files.

The mp3 player would be nice but my main concern is to get the voices working again.

Are there any suggestions how to fix this sound issue?

Hi Josmed - There is a file called MapSettings.cfg in any folders containing your maps. It contains all your favorites, POI alerts, etc. I find this file very delicate and can cause the hanging/rebooting symptoms you describe after a software version change. Try replacing this file with an alternative copy if you have one or simply delete it in the first instance to see if that fixes your problem.

Also, as quoted elsewhere on this forum, try deleting any "bar" folder if you have one that may exist from an earlier version of the software/firmware.

Does any one know why on my GO910 I can't see any new maps, to test I deleted a working map and then reinstalled it but tt does not see it anymore do I have to clear the flash on the tomtom to free up space so that it can see the maps.

I have made a completely revised Version without Bar-Folder or external ttn7221...see first Post.
If you have a older SE Version, select the right(same how before?) single Pack for you and tries this. Delete old Bar, bt, ttn, ttn7221... and use the same bt1 Folder from last Version.
Have no new Bugs found, auto power on/off after un/plug Charger works (by me) now correct.

Changelog:

14.01. Completely revised Version without Bar-Folder or external ttn7221...

I have a working 6.75 Es_and_Portugal map, I put in a Portugal map, cannot be found in my TTOne to switch but TT Home see that the map is in there.
It is a glitch that will take time it seems, but I will keep on trying till I get it right.

I just used your new complete rar file from the first post. My device is the TT1 LE and it had previously been running on 7.162 with 675 NA maps. The device seems to start up ok and my testing so far has been limited. Thanks for you hard work and making it easy for all of us followers to implement.

However, in you post above I see that you mentioned the start on external power option was available. I do not see this option under battery options, is it located somewhere else or just not available on the TT1 LE?

Just a quick query/clarification - it seems that the ttsystem file works the same whether I use the one included in the main download or the one specific to TT Ones. So is the more specific "single ttsystem for ONE´s" only needed if you have a TT V2 or XL, etc?

First: I have NOT a big Collection of all TT Devices to test something or to know exactly what works, what is available on which Device.

Now i have 7.221.8572, with TTS etc etc working OK in One v1...

OK for Bt1, I found it. I finaly made a driving test with my TTGO 910 and the result is:

navigation OK
Bluetooth transfer OK both ways

But MP3 with navigation and vocal messages give a very slow navigation with freezes and vocal messages with blanks between some words and the MP3 is suspended during the whole vocal message. But no hard reboot this time. I will do more testing later, it is the first feedback....

Unfortunately, softs have bugs, it is the fault Tomtom.

Oh I just noticed "Map corrections" and "Clear route" and some other icons missing from the main menu with this latest release :( so I have reverted to the slightly earlier release which works fine for now (the one with the bar folder, etc).

You need not necessarily this Bootversion. I believe, since i use this Version runs my 710 faster, smoother as with the 5.3013.

I got a problem with this version.
it worked fine (V7 maps, TTS and navigation), Whenever next time turn on TomTom One, it stay last time position, GPS shows signal but no changes. I have to manually "reset", then it would be to normal., but next time turn the TT, the problem again!

Maybe it´s time to begin a new thread as to solve the voice´ problem that quite a number of people have with their TT One (Classic, Second edition etc) using 7xx. cracked maps. Perhaps it is necessary to explain step-by-step the solution of this problem.

Just a quick update on my odd issue - "Music and Media" icon missing with "Guided Tours" in its place with that older version so I re-installed latest version and I got back the missing icons.

The vanishing icons seem non repeatable so I'll keep a closer eye on it - sorry for any confusion caused by my feedback but has anyone else noticed such issue?

Oh and one other comment:-
The "ephem" folder and contents is needed for quickgpsfix updates to work - it was missing in my case following a clean install so I restored this from an older backup.
