Just put the extracted files in the map directory that already exists, australia-map on my device. You will need to do more than this to get the map to work though. Read the version 7 maps cracked thread from page 8 onwards.

The user "msp23" uploaded the blowfish code so he must have the orginal map . Maby he can upload a file likes the one here under because I think thats where the dowload link is obtained from. Already got Western and Central Europe 710.1561 working.

How is the text for the meta generated? I was wondering if I could do it for the regional US maps.

Get the tt7_mapcheck.exe, save in upper folder of your [US_-_?_Region] map folders, and run "t7_mapcheck [US_-_?_Region] [DeviceID] > [US_-_?_Region].txt" from there. Check output line started with 'Blowfish Key = <16 hex double-character>'. [DeviceID] is your TT Device ID something like 'AKAAAAAAA1', [DeviceID] may be 12 letters serial number [C_NO:] in the bottom of your TT starts with Z1 which I've not yet tested and used.

Wish I can get the US_-_Western_Region blowfish key to install the map and fit into the TT1 1GB internal memory with TTS.

Did this but am getting "Can't find *.pna file". The pna file is there in the folder. What am I doing wrong?

tt7_mapcheck will output Blowfish key plus other info's from your "running" map with valid .dct file! Map that downloaded from tomtom.com has no <map>.dct until it's licensed. That's why tt7_keygen will generated a faked .dct for patched ttsystem from the map's blowfish key (correct me if I'm wrong).

The same problem I have on mine and my college's TomTom One XL.
I just put out SD, turn on the device and put SD card back again in a second.

the second possibility is to plug it to power source for a second, just to turn it on.

The problem was there already before cracking!

For those people having trouble using the links they are working fine . .but you just have to be carefull how you copy and paste them .. :mrgreen:

They are very long links and if you notice there is a scrolly bar under each one. :nod:

The best way to copy the link is to scroll the bar all the way to the right ... Then using your mouse drag back over the link from right to left, then right click copy .. then go to another explorer page and paste the link into the address bar . . hit enter and hey presto . . you will be downloading maps faster than an aussie can down a cold beer on a hot day lol. :drinkers:

I grabbed the 1GB WE set and its not obvious that they are there or do I also need to grab the 2GB set or can they be split out and posted separately?

I have downloaded the West and Central Europe Map 710.1677

Now i could need Help please.
I have a Tom Tom GO
Navcore Version is 7.163

I copied the Folder from the Map to my SD Card, but if i turn Tom Tom GO on, it tells me, no Cards found.

Is there a Way to get the 710.1677 Map to Work on my GO?

I would choose v710.1561 if you have top end TomTom and 1576, if you have low end one

They are both the same size and the *.pna files have the same text.

If they are both the same size and the *.pna files have the same text, it is because it is the same map, not one with TTS and the other without. it's a missmatch.

Look at the map folder. If you see cspeech_***.dat like cspeech_GBR.dat and more, it is the map with voice input.

TTS is another fonction:
All map can be with or without text to speak, you must add or delete files in\LoquendoTT folder.

You can use old versions, install whole NA or change navigation software.
IGO/MioMap can use each state separately.

Apologies, I was wrong. The cspeech files are purely for inputting destination by voice rather than touchscreen.
Having been with computer since the 80s, and tried so many voice to text applications - it is a function I really do not need. It does work on my 720, but I keep forgetting it is available!!!!
If I am in Germany, does one speak in German or with Lancashire accent? Nah, is easier to type destination - but good try TomTom
I would actually prefer my poi for doctors to have nearest than in a different country!!!!

No *.mid in v7 files. Try reading the forums. It is not that hard. Try search too. Why do you not try this? You cannot do this and yet you expect help? Get real. You have not said which Eastern european map you have without the files. I have them all - some with and some without cspeech files, nor did you say why you are missing them. Perhaps you downloaded an incorrect map set for your set up.

So which version are you after, and why cannot you search yourself for the right one? There is a very good search engine on this forum, or are you just too lazy or too stupid? And you expect an easy solution

TTone V.2 with Western_Europe_710_1561 works perfect on 1 GB card! First make backup on new medium, delete old Western_Europe map, make new map Western_Europe_710_1561, follow instructions and :dance: Important to update system via TomTom-Home to App. 7.162 before updating maps. http://thepiratebay.org/browse/399

Westen and Central Europe is about the biggest maps available. They will fit neatly onto a 2gb SD memory card. But if you want have more than one map on your system or would like to use Media Center I would recommend going for a 4gb SD memory card Just make sure it is not a High Speed (HDSC) card as they don't work. I am currently using a 4gb SD 80x memory card on a ONE XL.

Only use SDHC if you have GOx20 I use 16GB, but most card readers cannot read it, but TomTom 720 does. TTHome thinks it is 4GB, but I have all my maps on it (using about 12GB)

Be very careful if you try with a card over 4GB. Make sure you know what you are doing
SDHC is Secure Digital High Capacity, High speed is what you need for smaller cards. 150X or better. SD 150X is ideal

Western and Cental Europe is big map set v710.1561 is 1950MB and too big for internal flash of 720. v710.1577 is designed for internal 2GB of 720, but there is less detail. With cost of SD cards falling so much, there is little point in using this version as the fixes will quickly fill the remainder of flash memory

Impressive analysis, guys. I think maverick is right on saying that 2gb card will barely be able to hold the map and will fill up with fixes soon or later. Maybe I should stick with Just western europe map then.. I never drive out of holland anyways..

Yup, I downloaded map 710.1677 (thanks for the links) but it's significantly smaller than 710.1561
What's the catch? Which map is actually the most recent and filled with the most up to date and complete (including rivers etc...) information?
Version 710.1561 carries bigger files, just compare cline.dat to see the difference, so are we sure that build 1677 is the most recent map available?

I think all of the 710.xxxx maps are of the same revision, but the various builds tailor these maps to fit TomTom devices with different storage capacities. Changing the way maps are encoded would require new software, so I don't think they would do that.

If you look at the contents of the two Western and Central Europe maps, you'll see that the dates of the files are two months apart. The major differences are in file sizes for the map data like cline.dat, cnode.dat, and faces.dat. I think the coverage of Eastern Europe is more extensive in the 1561 map than in the 1677. To get the size down to 2GB, some countries were cut from 1677. The two month time difference is not enough to see any major change in roads.

For the North America maps, a different approach was taken. The map data wasn't changed, but the size of the poi.dat and crpoi.dat files (which contain Points of Interest) was cut significantly in the 2GB version.

jbraden, is your idea applicable to western europe 1gb 710.1561 and western europe 705.1480 as well? Probably not.. because the jump from 705 to 710?

Having a strange problem, wondering if anyone can help. I have the Go700 and I have loaded the newest NA map (2gb version). All of the sudden I am getting incorrect directions. It is taking me ways it never did before and they are not quicker! Also, it has pointed me off of main roads and onto some cul-de-sacs and circle roads for no reason?? Any help would be appreciated. Latest maps working with TomTom 6.x are v6.75. After Cebit there will be available also PDA and Symbian version of TomTom v7. So wait till Q2/2008

Lupy, this is just my speculations based on nothing really..
1677 is smaller and more recent. It's smaller because the developers came up with simpler coding and were able to save up more space. And they designed to have the whole thing fit in 2GB SD card for whatever reasons necessary (most popular size?).
Well actually the real 2GB map is 710.1561 which is 1.89GB, so it fits perfectly on a 2GB card.
On the contrary, 710.1677, altghough they call it 2GB, is the smallest one among the various 710.* maps, only 1.54GB.

For now I'll stick with 1561 :)

I recently installed 710.1677. Map and everything else included, it takes about 1.75GB of 2GB SD card. I think the reminder space (+-250MB) can be reserved for hotfix and other files for updates. I prefer to use Western europe map 1GB for daily use. I think 1677 is slower to bootup, the entire size is too big. And I don't go to central europe anyways..

hm, so isn't 710.1677 a real map? please don't confuse. 710.1677_2GB is a complete map for TT720 with 2GB internal memory but without sd cards.

sorry guys but i have not maps for america, i have only for europe, but if i will download i upload to my folder

I have chracked my tom tom with map 7.10 and system and I got the map v7 on my TT.

The problem I have is that now I can connect my TT with my nokia 6111. In other words I can recognise it but is not possible configure correctly the connection to tom tom web site. I have vodafone one (italy) and TOM TOM v2 regional second edition.

Someone can help me?
