Overview


Nokia PC Phone is an experimental service that gives you a possibility to use your mobile phone with your Web Browser.

You can call, text and manage contacts from your phone.


You can communicate by using Nokia PC Phone with your friends and family even though they don't have the Nokia PC Phone themselves.

Your friends are not able to tell the difference whether you are using the Nokia PC Phone or not, because your calls and text messages are actually made from your own Nokia phone.

Summary:

This is the second public Nokia PC Phone Beta release.

- Support for Internet Explorer 7.x added
- Recipient dropdown menu handling fixed
- SMS from contacts works now
- Several minor defects fixed

Known issues:
- IE7: phone numbers in Contacts tab are "painted" for click-to-call
- Disconnect/reconnect cable with certain older phone models does not work reliable
- The date of call log entries do not always obey correct time zone difference
- Support for Series 60 phones is preliminary (only Series 60 3.0 Feature Pack 1 with USB are supported)
- Updating/installing Nokia PC Suite will cause one Nokia PC Phone to crash. This is harmless, though.
After rebooting the PC (needed after PC Suite installation) everything works fine.
This was verified with Nokia PC Suite version 6.85.14.1

I think this application needs both of them.
