Advanced Phone Lock is an integrated locker service which allows you to lock any application from your smartphone. Nobody can use the locked applications without to know the password. You can lock any important application which stores sensitive data for you like credit card numbers, financial data, passwords, images, sms messages or anything else important for you. The service is also able to lock the phone and keypad. When the phone is locked, you or somebody else have to enter the password in order to unlock and continue to use the phone as normally. The same password is used for any lock/unlock action in order to have an easy use.

* Applications Lock key features.

- you can select and lock as many as applications you wish.
- allows you to set the lock mode. If set on ''When shown'', the password to unlock the application is asked every time when you or somebody else try to use the locked application. If set on ''Use autolock'', the password to unlock the application is asked only the first time. The password will be asked later only after the inactivity time you have set in the settings.
- automatically closes/exits the application if you cancel to enter the password in the lock form. This saves memory for the normal phone usage.
- able to disable the lock if charging. This helps when you drive the car and you have plugged the phone in the car''s charger. If you plug-in the charger and enter the password, the applications will no more be locked as long as the charger is plugged-in. You can use the phone as normally and you will not be disturbed by the lock service while you are driving. When you plug-out the charger, the applications will automatically be locked again.
- all applications lock settings can be changed (enabled/disabled).

* Phone Lock key features.

- able to lock after the phone is powered-on (lock at boot).
- you can set an autolock period after which the phone is automatically locked (1-30 minutes).
- the phone can be locked by the long press of a key (hotkey). You can define the hotkey long press period between 1 to 10 seconds and choose the hotkey from a list.
- locks the phone if the case (slider or cover) is closed or opened.
- able to lock the keypad also when the phone is locked.
- disable the phone lock if charging. This works similar like for the applications lock described above.
- all phone lock settings can be changed (enabled/disabled).

* IMPORTANT:

- When started the first time, you need to enter the default password which is 1234. You can change the password from the main menu.
- Using Advanced Phone Lock, it is strongly recommended you lock the ''Installer'' and the ''Applications Manager'' built-in applications in order to prevent unauthorised persons to uninstall any application (including Advanced Phone Lock).

This app stopped working for me on ma n80ie after 3 days,

...was working ok but suddenly stopped locking the selected appz!

The only way i could get it to start working again, was to uninstall this OPDA version and then install the BinPda version posted elsewhere in this forum!

Is it just me or are others having the same problems?

Yep had the same problem. After rebooting, all locked applications were no longer unlocked.

Yep, the OPDA version stopped working after approx 3 days after original install, i then uninstalled it and then install the binpda version and the binpda version is still working fingers-crossed!

MODERATORS, pls reopen the second thread with BINPDA version - both versions are cracked same (I think, because the same file is created in C-DATA-2000****.dat).

For some people OPDA version works, for some not, and the same with BINPDA version!!!

My opinion is that it REALLY depends on WHAT other software people use in their phones... (dont forget firmware too)...

(Maybe you all remember the trouble between SYMANTEC and KRALLY on os8.1)

BTW. for me OPDA version doesnt work, and BINPDA version is working over a week

BTW, what error your getting ? I'm using this over a week now...

Please be specific buddy. I haven't got any problem using this for Os9.2. I mean have u tested this with Os9.2. If you can prove that this is not working as i did then i can bring back that thread... I mean I haven't tested with n73. I have it tested with N95C and N95 8GB...

I didnt mean binpda copied opda or opda copied binpda... The app looks cracked same. Only one difference I found.
The hidden file 2000E31Creg.dat from binpda can be edited via xplore with text editor / opda with hexaeditor - maybe it is that reason of error of opda version on 9.1 (N73)

Error I got with opda version is -> after restarting phone (some days of using), whole locked programs are unlocked. APL didnt start at phone boot.
Reinstalling didnt works, till I delete 200E31Creg.dat.
Binpda version of APL works great on my N73...

It doesn't have autostart. So every time you reboot your phone you have to reenable it to make it work. There is a version with autorst made by a guy but it's v1.0, I am currently using and works fine.

Hey guys, thanks for the program..

It used to work a couple of days ago ... but today, i do not know why, but whenever I want to access my locked application, it does not ask for a lock code .. This means APL is not locking the application ... Even "Lock phone on boot" Does not work..Plus the hotkey function is not working anymore ... Why is that ?? i tried playing with the settings, reinstalled it .. but all attempts failed...any suggestions please ??

This prog. is amazing but now it fails to function well .. Whats wrong ?

But at the end. We need to know the mobile you're using. This release works still good on my N95C & 8GB...

Hey guys, I have download the BiNPDA version and its working fine now ... I restarted the phone and it is still working ..

Hopefully it will survive for more than a week now ... Ill post back here if I came into any problems, thanks :)

But, I donno. I didn't find any problems like that in this version. Anyway, I'll open the other thread too. But, Locking this thread won't be fair..IMO

Delete the 2000E31Creg.dat in C:/ Data using the x-plore or Pc, it will start working again ( Don't know for how long) i persume we have to keep deleting this file after a week or so. thx That's what i m doing on my n95 8gb.

At this time signing of apps is not possible as symbian signed is not allowing creation of new certificates...
If you have a cert file of your own phone based IMEI than refer to this signing request thread...

Lock at phone boot: yes
Phone autlock period: 1min
Phone Hotkey: C
Lock HOykey timeout: 1sec

Lock Applications: Yes
Applications to lock: X PLORE, SMS, ETC----
Lock Mode: When Shown
Close app if cancel: YES

now, when I close the program, and wait 1-2 mins, nothing happens, i can access all the apps, etc

when I wait 1-2 mins and press C (hotkey) nothing happens
WHen I press C (hotkey) and wait 1-2 mins, NOTHING happens

can't make it work,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

I have now installed "ADL Device Lock" from the great ILLUSION, and for sure this won't give me problems.

adl it's another great similar app, but i miss the function to automatically closes/exits the application if you cancel to enter the password in the lock form... :angry:

i have installed this successfully on my nokia 5800. however , there seem to be a bug on the software because for example if i set my password as 4455 , and save , when i try to unlock the locked application , i key in 445 , before i can key in the last digit '5' , the phone will always prompt me if i want to call emergency call? , this happens to any number i use for my password. when i press cancel , it will be blank again...so there is no way i can access my locked application..:emptymind:

anyone have the same problem as me? i am using a nokia 5800 with version 20 firmware.

please advise
