Hello,

I recently bought a tomtom one LE and it worked fine for a couple of days. Now when I turn it on it freezes up at the splash screen and I cannot turn it off other than to press the reset button. It has been updated to version 7162 with the GPS fix. Any suggestions on how to fix this or is it bad? I have read other postings talking about numerous problems with the 3rd editions and possibly this unit also. I does work when I run my hacked TTS software on the SD card, but I would like it to run without an SD card also.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Does it crash when you don't have the SD card in there? Does it not load the software from the SD card? or is it firmware? If it keeps happening i would probably recommend taking it back for a warranty replacement.

BR and welcome to ipmart forums :)

I think it may be caused by me having the North America Map on the SD card and the US and Canada Map in the unit. I am going to try to remove all the files on the unit and reinstall a backup prior to installing the NA map on the SD card. Will let everyone know how it goes later on tonight.

Thanks.

I found a fix for it.
Please remove all the maps from the main unit (make sure you have
everything backed up somewhere)

Remove both built-in USA_and_Canda, and Guam maps. Restart the unit, it will boot into the system, and then you can copy the maps back to the main unit. Power down, both maps should work now.
