Here's the file for everyone to try. First one's the installer, the other one's the cab file. Enjoy. Used it on my Atom Black. Works well and fast but I still have to get used to the touch system. As of now, it reacts too fast for me to get used to it immediately.

Work on TyTN II but slow down the Pocket PC substantially, I decided to uninstall it. May be I'm not used to this kind of interface. I prefer the original Windows Mobile interface using stylus much more because it's more powerful and flexible!

one more bug, even when keypad lock already you can still use the call button of the htc touch to go to phone, and from there access the other apps

Hi PotPot2,

I have the HTC Touch but does not have this issue. Which is weird
When locked I can not activate anything else than the on/off button.
No other buttons do react when the lock is active.

The problem I run into is that my programs and favourites do not apear in my list. those two lists keep being empty.
EDIT: When HOME is installed update it twice to get version 1.01b. Now all is working fine.

One other issue is that when I exit the application, the installation folder is gone also. I have to reinstall the application to get it running on my device again.
EDIT: also here you need to update to version 1.01b. Now you will find under \Program files\Pointui\Home\ the Home.exe copy this and paste as shortcut in \Windows\startmenu\programs\ now you are able to start the PointUI Home app from your start menu.

To have it auto start when your phone boots paste the shortcut into \Windows\Startup\

Grtzzz

"The file "Home" could not be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of it's components can not be found. You might need to reinstall or restore files".

I reinstalled it , same. Anyone got a solution for this?

Mmm, there's no "Home" file in my PPC, could anyone send me the Program Files folder, zipped? Thanks in advance! :)

phoenix_ikki

you have to use update manager to uninstall it

Quite funny (and annoying), it's not easy (need to explore and googling) but I manage to uninstall PointUI main program, but somehow the Update Manager is still there (?). This is so troublesome, since PointUI replaces my beloved HTC Action screen (Blue Elfin ROM) in Today menu (and no info on how to restore it) :(

===========

Solved by modifying Left Key setting in Advanced Config.
Cheers.

It is a cute software. But it hangs in my P3300 and a reset is required everytime we navigate the calendar screen in home. Secondly it takes more memory and that is drawback for the devices with low main memory. The hard keys dont function when you are in the home screen. These are some of the hiccups i faced before uninstalling. Otherwise it is nice one for higher memory capacity devices.

Only 1 problem i have in my Atom Life. For some reason that my Program folder is opened and i want to force close the folder, it will show this error "an unhandled error has occured in the shell. Attempting to restart the sheel". Once i click "OK", it will perform soft reset.

.......but it's a great application. To overcome above problem, i will close the pointui shell and close the program folder and open back the shell...or just let the program folder run in background.

Hi all

Will this application work and display well with a VGA screen also is there support for landscape viewing?

Segia
18th February 2008, 09:39
There is no stable version which will work on VGA screens, but there is an alpha version that supports VGA-screens. Download here:
[Only registered and activated users can see links]

As far as I'm concerned, landscape works smoothly everywhere. At least it does on mine.
