While Signed Offline isn't available, RotateMe can be signed only by a person with Publisher ID. Sorry

lalavava 4th March 2008, 18:17 Sorry if this has been posted before, but I'm also stuck on this. Using SISWare and SignSIS-GUI I was able to sign RotateMe without symbiansigned.com. BUT! on my N95 I receive a message like "... application from untrusted supplier ...", and I'm stuck again. Anyone has experience with this "Self Signed Certificate" ?
See here for more details about SISWare:

Mexetti 4th March 2008, 19:46 I got message "Developer Certificate requests are currently only available to users who have a Publisher Id" in SymbianSigned.com.
Is that only temporary? Or what i should do?
I am newbie in this, sorry for a bad english.

Try going to mail2world. They supply free email accounts. mailtomypc worked for me but others should work too, but not tested by myself! Hope this helps!

Many thanks for this link! I'll try to alter firmware in case Offline Signing will be down for another 2 weeks
Jaco2k 4th March 2008, 21:53 Many thanks for this link! I'll try to alter firmware in case Offline Signing will be down for another 2 weeks
Beware - It won't work for phones newer than the N80 - they detect the firmware mismatch and brick the phone...
- on a side note...
If ANYONE is kind enough to get me my .CER file from my .CSR file I would be forever grateful - I can do the rest after, but without this .CER...
Click here for the .CSR ([Only registered and activated users can see links])
You can send it to me at jaco2k(a)myrealbox.com

yashar 5th March 2008, 00:43 this is really bad!!! we can't sign freeware apps like fexplorer or nokmote! i don't understand why!!!! thay are freeware!! symbian signed is the worst thing for our phones! hope that someone can find another way to sign our apps! :(
Neblinio 5th March 2008, 01:08 I just got 2 brand new N95 8GB's for my mom and sister, and I can't even sign rotateme v2 to install it on their phones.
zorkmta 5th March 2008, 01:27 Hi,
Could you can help , shakeSMS and RotateMe signed for my phone N95 IMEI is <imei removed>
Thanks you very much
gabrielgil 5th March 2008, 01:42 This pretty much sucks. I just bought an n95 two weeks ago and I was all excited with the amazing possibilities of using great user-generated apps without any trouble... And now this.
I don't think there'll be a signed version of popular apps like rotateme, flipsilent etc anytime soon, and I truly don't understand why, since SS complained about heavy traffic which was probably caused by people wanting to sign the 4 or 5 most popular apps. They should just sign those and get it over with. It would be better for them and all users.
tunisia 5th March 2008, 02:17 and now! what it the solution about it ???????????????????????????
i wanna get my cert :((((
sick_unit 5th March 2008, 03:13 I dont really understand something. If you have a .cer, are you able to sign cracked apps?

nyk2005 5th March 2008, 10:12 so, how we can do to collect the money for obtain a Publisher ID?
lugi 5th March 2008, 10:31 Before we go to the trouble of sorting this all out, we need to make sure we can get enough people to buy this. So if you are interested please PM me or another mod (but best me) with what you would pay (you will not be held to this amount) like below but please be aware certain conditions will be added before any money is given - Dansco
Make the title "Pub ID donation"
Like this ;)
Hope we'll get it asap
THESEUS 5th March 2008, 10:38 Hi People...i am new to this signing...and certificate thing....can u tell me how i have to get a certificate for my e 51...i created a account at symbiansigned.com, now what is the next thing to do....? i am not a developer ....so i was a bit confused about the things given on symbiansigned.com ..please help me...
lugi 5th March 2008, 10:58 Check the first page..u can sign only freeware (not all..some got limitations..developers will prooly fix that) so no cracked stuff..cuz u need to upload the .sis to their server and it autosigns it if it's ok..U can use only "Open Signed Online" nothing else..only if u purchase PUBLISHER ID for 200$..or Pm Dansco ("Pub ID donation" - Ammount) and we will get one..i hope =)
Thats it
Stevengw 5th March 2008, 11:43 Last time i looked, the donations looked to be pretty good... Hopefully i can get back to normal service with signing.

I agree mate..
I cannot belive that there is no other solutions to singing app... or some kind of alternative... Just this crappy site...
geechoo 5th March 2008, 12:56 I wonder what are nokia people up to,cant believe this is happening, any way, if ppl can break NASA network then SS is nothing,
Stevengw 5th March 2008, 14:32 And i dunno why you guys can't hold on for a bit more time until we can get a publisher id... Moaning about SS won't speed things up, nor will they take any notice of this...
Mezzi 5th March 2008, 15:51 Stevengw I beg to disagree the more users bitch and moan the more likely it is that Nokia will realize and seek to implement a resolution that will suit Symbian users.
Remember without the ability to use applications that renders the devices pretty much useless. What would be the point of buying a Series 60 device over a dumbphone then?
Nokia and Symbian Signed need to come up with an amicable solution before the start seein a serious decline in users.
Stevengw 5th March 2008, 16:03 Well, everybody is entitled to an opinion, and that was mine really... :D
Though you do have to keep in mind... Whats the point in people making apps for, say £10 - Only for people to crack it and not buy the app (Obviously, i don't 100% care about this, though if i did have the money, and i bet most of you would actually BUY the app)... The signing of apps was really to stop this from happening (Yeah it didn't work, and some may say it wasn't, but what is the point of it then? The new signing method makes it impossible to sign cracked apps, only the odd freeware app...)
And you have to remember, that not all users install things onto their phones - I have 2 friends both with N-Series phones, and they never install anything onto it, they use it for what phones are for - Calling and texting (Arguable with the texting...)
And it isn't really SS's fault about the system not working - Thousands of people used it, and it is expensive to keep the server running (Probably the fact that i always used it a lot, and it always seemed to "not work" after about 10 minutes...)
And finally, i doubt Nokia/SS would look at this... But you are entitled to an opinion, and it is irritating (Not for me, as i have a cer) for you guys... I do hope SS can see this and let people get there cer files... At least for all freeware apps...
Mezzi 5th March 2008, 16:12 In one sentence all im going to say is, indeed yes, everyone is entitled to an opinion Stevengw.
Im also sure that right now there are several people working on a way to sign applications without the use of symbian signed. So ill just sit and wait until a new method of signing without symbian signed is developed while crossing my fingers that it doesnt take too long to develop.
Stevengw 5th March 2008, 16:17 I think it'll take pretty long - If it is possible... Look inside a csr file or a cer file... Anybody who decodes that to English or simple math will make a lot of forums VERY happy...
Disguy 5th March 2008, 16:47 Got my N82 a couple of weeks ago and then this happened. Too bad I can't sign many apps and games that i want :(
bettlejus 5th March 2008, 16:56 I have a question, hope I'm not silly, let's say that I buy an application like Telexy SymSMB, witch is about 50$, would I be able to sign this application without a publisher ID ( 200$)..or it will be already sign for me by the seller/producer, or after buying will they sign it for me, or waht?
This is the question, if i buy an application it'll be signed?
bursuc 5th March 2008, 17:16 yes mate :) if you bu it it should be already signed, or maybe they gonna ask you for your imei to create a key to make app full working;)
Stevengw 5th March 2008, 17:20 Generally, its already signed - Its the cracked versions that sometimes are not. And since SS accepts some apps to be signed, you maybe able to do it yourself
vagelissss 5th March 2008, 17:55 I have not understood yet...Is there a way to sign a cracked-modified application and share it with others or not ,because it is signed for only a single imei? What kind of solution do you imagine that there might be?
khaludi92 5th March 2008, 18:38 I signed the the App shakeme_alpha_1 .. i was able to instal the app successfully no Uid error came up But The app isnt launching :S:S "(
i hv N82

LoL -- Same thing here :S
bigot 5th March 2008, 19:28 god deamn...
we hav problem...
there is noway to get the cert files?
srappy 5th March 2008, 19:43 I think it'll take pretty long - If it is possible... Look inside a csr file or a cer file... Anybody who decodes that to English or simple math will make a lot of forums VERY happy...
It's a certificate request file and is most probably encoded with RSA algorithm. Whoever can decode that certificate (or any certificate issued by SymbianSigned) (without stealing SymbianSigned's private key used to make certificates) would change the landscape of cryptography as we know it and would become a very rich man [if they can do it within 5 years]. However, it's not inconceivable that within ~50 years there'd probably be enough computing power to break RSA algorithm up to 2048bits.
scenic 5th March 2008, 21:07 Hi, I can sign freeware apps. If you wanna sign some send me email (your app, your IMEI). I please for patience because I do it only by myself, so it can be a few days until I signed all apps. If you have more apps, send me them in one email, you will save my time. Dont ask me about .cer and .key files, I CAN'T SEND THEM. ATTENTION TO WAREZ, I ALSO CANT SIGN IT.
Please dont forget to DONATION. :friends:

wtf is wrong with you dude.
everyone can sign freeware on symbiansigned.com. since yesterday. open signed online has been up, no login required and you using this *** to milk donations lol.
hxxps://[Only registered and activated users can see links]
pls update the first post to reflect that open signed beta is up and running and the reason you missed it yesterday is because you were logged in.
the way i see it ss will finally be able to curb piracy on many programs while still allowing peeps to use legit freeware. for those of us lucky to have old cert files for our phones fun will run out with our next phone purchase.
scenic 5th March 2008, 22:29 to idan:
If you think.... I tried apps like slidehangup, rotateme, screenshot or landscape pro beta and I get that message: FAILURE: Sumbitted .sis uses a UID that is not allocated to the account holder matching this email address (0x20003821). So, tell me, please, how do you wanna sign these apps.
I said you, that apps like rotate me, slidehangup etc are also FREEWARE, but its not possible to sign them on SS. I can do that... So stay cool and let me do my bussiness.
and dont forget that donations arent obligatory
Dansco 5th March 2008, 22:35 Just an update for you guys regarding the purchase of a Publisher ID to create certs for you - we are sorting the final details but hope to have something in place in the next fews day. Please be aware this is not an easy thing to do so thanx for giving us the time - Dansco
mayhem_pl 5th March 2008, 22:37 I've got Publisher ID but it says "you need a Publisher ID", any ideas or sth ?
Edit://
Just receive e-mail:
"We are happy to provide you with a TC Symbian PublisherID [1year] Certificate.
To check the statements in your request we need the following
documents (if not already presented):
1. A copy of a document, which proves the existence of the organisation (current extract of a competent official register in which the organisation is listed or a comparable document).
Please note that we need an up-to-date business registration
or equivalent document.
If the document is older than 9 months, but not older than 36 months,
we need a signed confirmation that in the meantime there have been no changes
concerning the legal state of the company (see attached document).
2. A written request confirmation (see attachment),
signed by an authorized signatory.
3. Copy of an identity card or passport incl. photo and signature.
After we have received and reviewed all required documents,
you will be informed by e-mail about the issuance of your certificate.
If you have any questions, please contact the registration team"
WTF?
Stevengw 5th March 2008, 22:47 Well, looking at it, you have to have your own business as well :D
idan 5th March 2008, 22:47 well first of all im sure developers will for the future releases develop with open signed in mind without uid from protected range or we can ask developer for email he used when he created app.
if im wrong about the ability of everyone to sign their freeware i appologise but i still think that fishing for donations in warez forum is ridiculous. but cooling down slowly lol.
Grafic 5th March 2008, 22:49 2All: I only wanna say thank you to Scenic. I dont know how, but he signed my apps and it is worrking!! I tried on symbiansigned.com since Monday a few times, but allways some fault about UID publisher and some other shits....
So THANK YOU SCENIC! I will send you some small donation, I'm poor student:)
mayhem_pl 5th March 2008, 22:52 Well, looking at it, you have to have your own business as well :D
But i have My own business, they send me ID and all this stuff but ....
Stevengw 5th March 2008, 22:54 That case i can't really help... I just do the signing apps and getting the cer files... I ain't got my own business (Unfortuantely, most 17 year olds don't) - But looking at it, you have to prove you have a business.
mayhem_pl 5th March 2008, 23:08 Anyway, they should send me Publisher ID File and Private Key File ??

p0is0nb0x 6th March 2008, 09:09 Guyz...
as i see and face the same problem as we all are going through and even i have been critizing SYMBIAN for the same matter as we all are doing...
troughout all this there is one thing thats just hammering my mind and it is that all the application that comes cracked are UNSIGNED nd there is just one application within all this that we dont need to sign is completely cracked and that is SMART MOVIE...
isnt there any way to extract a certificate file from this application as that certificate is as i assume universal and not dependent on single signing...
please any body smarter than me here have any idea on this than plz get some way out..
thanks for reading this guyz...

I hope that there will be some kind a similar way to sign "rotate me" or "landscape".
Stevengw 6th March 2008, 17:21 I hope for the benefit for others they should also. The creator has apparantly requested it to be symbian signed...

Note that Open Signed Online currently does not allow you to sign a SIS that is "owned" by someone else and hasn't been enabled for Open Signing; i.e. if a SIS uses a UID from the "Protected Range", the email address you use for Open Signed Online MUST match the email address of the account which owns/created the UID. :angry2:

No new cert for new app...
If you have a certificate for your IMEI than you can sign other unsigned apps too...
anthy 7th March 2008, 04:52 i think we should end this thread until there is really further update on signing the application. Else everytime when i check, it just mislead me into thinking there is new and real updates on how to sign.

What is wrong with you people, be patient and let the thread run its course.

vagelissss 7th March 2008, 11:42 I have noticed something and i wonder if there is a reason for it. Almost all .sis, .sisx applications, that are signed, WORK if you change the date of your mobile phone to a past one.For example a year ago...The java applications don't...is there a reason for that?
sokz 7th March 2008, 14:54 sokz... Its jsut the fact Symbian Signed suck. Plain and simple. Best wait for a dev cer file...
oh man.. so i have to wait for the publisher to release the dev cer file? or wait for the program to create it.. sorry still kinda new to this..theres no possible way to sign my rotateme yet then using SS online beta..?
lgkahn 7th March 2008, 16:40 I am thinking of buying a dev cert if I can get at least 20 people to pay 5.00 each for a cert I generate for the imei it will be worth it i will have paid for at least half of the price if you are interested send me a pm larry.
positico 7th March 2008, 17:31 Hallo,
sorry for my bad englisch, but what happen if you change the IMEI to a Cert. install the proggis and change back the IMEI.
maybe somebody now if this way is possible:???:
mib1800 7th March 2008, 18:25 Not sure whether anyone can answer this.
Is it possible just to extract files from sis and then copy to memory card (in usb mode). Will program work?
dragon-tmd 7th March 2008, 18:58 Not sure whether anyone can answer this.
Is it possible just to extract files from sis and then copy to memory card (in usb mode). Will program work?It will not work, since you need to copy files to c:\system and some other directorys which you can't access using a standard filemanager.
The only way left at the moment is a patched firmware (high risk of bricking your mobile/impossible on newer mobiles) or buying a publisher id ...
palji 7th March 2008, 22:15 SymbianSigned allows open signing now. Is it possible we could extract the .cer from a sis file, which we signed by open signing method, and use it for future signing via Mobile Signer?

unless you have Publisher ID, you can't make certificate on Open Signed Offline. Free user can sign app on Open Signed Online but you need developer's email address to match in order to install otherwise you'll get UID error.
No one without Publisher ID can make certificate at the moment.

This is not ENTIRELY true. We can access these "restricted" folders on the memory card if we use a card reader. There are bundles apps that are on the memory card when you bought the phone. You can copy the files to another memory card and put it into another phone and it still works. E.g. AsiaMap/Navfone software which came bundled with N95. I have copied these files into my N82 and it works.
Sis file is binded to IMEI but I am pretty sure the content of sis (i.e app files) are not binded to the IMEI. If the app does NOT specifically require file to be on the C: restricted folders then it may be workable. If you explore the SIS file using sisexplorer you see most installed files used relative path from the drive.
Maybe someone can test out this and see whether it works.

I doubt it will work. I copied my self-signed Route66 v7.3.545 from my N82 to my N95 (installed with a non self-signed copy).
The icon disappeared on my N95 and I couldnt even launch the application. But I could uninstall it.
The non self-signed copy of Route66 is not able to utilise the internal gps. Doesnt really matter since I have a HOLUX which is way better than any of the stupid nokia chipsets.
catelusii 8th March 2008, 08:19 If I have a good certificate for my IMEI - N73...

I don't think you need the dev's email address...signed a few using my own email address and it works fine.
besides, it sends the confirmation link to the email entered, so unless you can access the dev's email....

if those are cracked apps, they won't be signed. if not, they will send confirmation links to the email entered. just click on them, and a few moments later, a link to download the signed files will be available for your dl.

tonadreka 8th March 2008, 16:04 I have an idea, it must be possible, to change the UID of the SIS file in someway, to a non protected range. So then we can sign the app at Open Signed Online. What do you think?
And what is with the 20 year OPDA certificate ([Only registered and activated users can see links]), I've didn't hear anything about it for a long time. I've tried it by myself, but it didn't work properly for me. I think this could be a good solution.
By the way, how do the companies create SIS files that doesn't need to be signed. They work on every phone without signing, so they aren't binded by the IMEI (like GarminMobileXT). How do they make this?
Does anybody know if someone is seriously working on this SymbianSigned problem?
There must be an way to bypass this nasty SymbianSigned limitation!

Because they get SymbianSigned to sign it for them. They have a PublisherID.
Does anybody know if someone is seriously working on this SymbianSigned problem?
Yes. Symbiansigned is working hard to crack down on cracked software. It's just sad that freeware is a temporary victim. But nothing a few re-compiling can't fix as seen.

Given enough time, there will be a solution.
Stevengw 8th March 2008, 17:38 That OPDA cer file sucks.

tonadreka 8th March 2008, 21:41 As i said there is a way to change UID, i searched so long and i found a discussion on symbian-freak ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) .
Take a look, there is a description:
to change uid need sisware and this tool
[Only registered and activated users can see links]
Open sis file with sisware, decompile files, then start sischanger, paste directory shortcut with sis exe directory into app, for example
C:\Program Files\CequenzeTech\SISWare4.7\bin\rotateMe\sys\bin
and click apply (dont check v2), then replace old exe file with new (from new uid dir), compile it back with sisware.
this method can pass symbian signed sertification restriction.but sometimes apps dont want to install into mobile device
I think this could be a temporary solution.

2. I tried with .sis file, but I accept this error message:

aakanksh 10th March 2008, 07:22 It doesn't accept .sisx, only .sis can be signed
nikolovski 10th March 2008, 11:27 Here is how you can sign app, but this is valid only for phone (IMEI) for which you have been signing by the old way.
I use the way with signsis.exe and auto_signsis.bat files. In the folder of some application which you have all ready signed, delete the sis files. Copy the unsigned sis file of your new application and rename it as the old sis application (as the name of .cer file). Run auto_signsis.bat and you have your new application signed.
bettlejus 10th March 2008, 13:30 Mods how about that idea to raise 200$, is that still possible now that someone has to own his bussiness to buy a publisher ID?
Please some info on that! Thanks!

And another question, is it posible to extract a .cer file from a .sis file already signed?

Neznani 10th March 2008, 23:18 rotateme can also be signed, but you have to modify the .sis file first, and when i sign it, i get an error halfway through the installation. that's why i asked what to select under "Capability information", since maybe there lies the problem?

dvd4me_8 11th March 2008, 12:24 Hi,
We provided Open Signed Online as an easier way to obtain a signed version of a .sis file since for non-developers it was a complicated procedure.
Freeware developers will be able to provide versions of their applications that use UIDs from the test range (in fact this is already happening) but it will take time before all of these developers migrate and versions of the .sis files are available.
The Symbian Signed web site was set up for developers without the end user in mind which is why we have reached a point where our capacity was breached. So at the moment the choice is between Developer Certificates for nobody or Developer Certificates for users who have a Publisher ID and are professional developers and Open Signed for users without a Publisher ID.
There are currently no other options, we do not want to stop the innovation from Freeware developers and we are providing a channel for this purpose, unfortunately we were unable to provide a period of transition because the capacity was breached.
We are in the process of installing more advanced and powerful hardware for the web site to ensure that in the future we can service all users.

tunisia 12th March 2008, 22:35 why someone don't buy a publisher ID and than can make a certificate for people ? we just have to give 5 dollars for every certificate and that's it , is not a good idea ?
yamadron 12th March 2008, 22:43 Well, That mean that we can no longer make certificates for our applications for free ??
WHY SYMBIANSIGNED ???
shamz4u2nv 12th March 2008, 22:43 Can we sign flipsilent with open signed?
kdraggy 12th March 2008, 22:45 Well, That mean that we can no longer make certificates for our applications for free ??
WHY SYMBIANSIGNED ???
Yeap, we can't make cer for most of our apps. Because SS doesn't realizing what their doing and how huge impact on Nokia it'll be

-=[tp12]=- 13th March 2008, 03:34 You cannot sign cracked apps...
So all those who try to sign cracked apps by BiNPDA or any other cracker group they wont work...
Symbian signed wont sign those apps...
klarmacker 13th March 2008, 07:56 isnt it possible that every member donate some dollar? that we can buy a publish id?
-=[tp12]=- 13th March 2008, 07:57 isnt it possible that every member donate some dollar? that we can buy a publish id?
We are checking that point...
But getting a publisher id is very difficult than what it looks like...
There are many things that needs to be taken into consideration...
Neznani 13th March 2008, 17:26 why do some of the apps need to be signed anyway?
i mean, most of the apps i have on my phone came with a crack or were already pre-cracked and work without any problem. Can't these apps be cracked in this way too?
bettlejus 13th March 2008, 17:37 Leko, you have your point there, but even with the 50% off we still would give 20$ or so for symSMB, and waht about the games, games that we like and many of them we are finishing very fast because they don't have so many stages, games are to expensive, many games are more expansive that those on PC, it's not right
And let's say that you have 10 app on your phone that you like and use, how much money would you give for that?...Let me tell you, about 100$ or more, and let;s say that you have also some games, you reach the sum of 200$ maybe, and with the phone tenddancy to cheap you could buy a phone with symbian for 200$, and your glad that you have symbian and can install many apps, but, you have to pay, and so you rich the price of N95 for a phone like 6120c.
And what about those free stuff that can't be signed?...like the very usefull, very populat jbak taskman, you can't even buy that if you want, this is the really shity part, at least all the free apps sould be free to sign
Anyway for the moment Nokia and symbian su** very bad.
Ultraman666 13th March 2008, 19:33 Hey Tp12 I have probably 25 or more cer that I have signed is there anyway to use them to sign a new app that I cant use symbian online to sign?? Thanks

dragon-tmd 13th March 2008, 22:32 Found somebody with a proper ID. Will test it myself (paying the money & playing guinea pig). If it works, I'll give you the details.
njan_ivide 13th March 2008, 22:36 well i think there is a way out for people who dont have certificate file....
*people who got a certificate can upload it along with the imei..
*others just use this certificate to sign the app(which ever they want)
*and change their imei to the one for which there is the certificate(with NSS tool)
*and install the signed app
*then change the imei to the original
well it should work I GUESS.... i havent tried it personally..

bettlejus 14th March 2008, 13:52 Leko, i still don't get it, what Internet provider do you have, I pay about 15$ per mounth for my internet connection, and it's traffic free, 2 Mbps Extern and 100 mbps Metropolitan
I really don't get it where do you reach those values of 1$ per hour
Any way as far as it goes for SymSMB, in case I will ever lose my cer file or something bad happens with SS that will forbide us to install app even if we have a cer file, I will buy that software, it's really cool, it's my favorite software app for symbian, I use it about 1 hour per day, very usefull

survivor84 15th March 2008, 16:31 i guess all he is saying is, if you get a .cer file (from what he is saying, he has a .cer file made earlier for phonetinfo app), you can use it for any number of apps for that particular phone! But didnt we already know that? the problem here is getting even ONE .cer file!

replaus2004 16th March 2008, 05:02 first...want to say hello 2all.
i tried to install mobile navigator from binpda a lot of time on my N73 ME...ok...can't installed it, never, cause it's unsigned. On Symbian's site it is also impossible
to get a cer-file.
then...I downloaded SISWare...I tried following to get a cer-file.
made a folder, e.g. C:/SIGN.
controlled my clock setting in XP also on mobile, e.g. both 2008
inside SISWare press F12.
use: Create Self-Signed Certificate.
Create a private key and self signed certi..
Private Key File: any name e.g. keyfile.
Certificate File: dto. e.g. certfile.
all other settings are ok, but you can surely make your own.
Now I pressed CREATE and I got a *.key and a *.cer inside the new folder.
Then I used Sign SIS File.
1.the unsigned sis-file you own
2. the name of the signed one
3. select your made cer-file
4. select your key-file
5. PW if you made one
6. DSA Algoritm
7. Press Sign
now I got a signed SIS-file of BINPDAs mobile navigator...and what should I say?
I could install this software and it runs. :-)
a pity is, that MN wants to register on mobile via internet...I don't want that ;-)
maybe this will function for you and maybe anybody knows how to register MN without WEB

Well, I wonder what kind of details you putted in creating the certificate. I tried your procedure but got the error message on the phone when trying to install the application of something about not authorized to install applications signed by untrusted publishers.
Can you give us some help, please ?

replaus2004 17th March 2008, 00:52 I tried it only with Mobile Navigator and after this I was able to install the App. on my N73. Didn't made tests with other unsigned SIS-files, but I'll search for and test some.
Actually, if anyone wants to test the signed MN.SIS, please let me know, I'll send you.
right, I can't install RotateMe...the same message.
maybe this way is also the wrong one :-(

tunisia 17th March 2008, 01:55 i'm wodering if someone can not change the imei inside an old certificate . example u have one certificate for nokia n95 8gb and than u changed ur phone , so u have the same phone but with another imei because now i tried to read my old certificate with note pad and no way to understand , but when i tried to read with the cryptograph , i found this 30 11 0c 0f 0... 356983010575659
33 35 36 39 38 33 30 31 30 35 37 35 36 35 39
u see that the nembers in the right is the imei and in the left they just put the number ( 3 ) before every number from the imei , i'm wondering if we can not change this things , because i tried and no result ,
thank's anyway for all the moderators
parthabhatta 17th March 2008, 04:03 I have a symbiansigned ID and I used it to sign lot of applications earlier. Today after learning symbiansigned's new system I visited the site and noted the following changes.
1. Opensigned - offline (that is once downloading .cer file annd signing it in your PC for multiple no. of application is no longer valid. Certificate files for offline signing will only be issued if you have a publisher ID as already explained above.
2. I presented an unsigned C****** software for signing - in the new online signing mode ( no need to login any body can sign without logging in). But signing was refused for reasons-" Open Signed Online currently does not allow you to sign a SIS that is "owned" by someone else and hasn't been enabled for Open Signing; i.e. if a SIS uses a UID from the "Protected Range", the email address you use for Open Signed Online MUST match the email address of the account which owns/created the UID."
3.I again presented a free software -cclock ver 1.19- for online signing (without logging in & with my yahoo mail ID). Symbiansigned promptly accepted my request and send me a link in mail box saying that my file will be sent to my mail ID on signing.
From the above, we can conclude that
1) No .cer file will be isssued to symbiansigned members without publisher ID>
2) Free applications can be signed online without logging in and without symbiansigned ID and with normal mail ID.
3) Cr****d / illegal softwares cannot be signed

Stevengw 17th March 2008, 19:28 I've read through this topic and noticed that they are mainly requests, or moaning at the useless Open Signed system that doesn't work... Since they isn't any news on SS yet, nor with the donation system at iPmart, this topic can be locked, at least until people do notice its not possible to get a cer file yet... But it can be still set as sticky...
Any problems with this thread, PM me... Also if you have any news, PM any mod and they'll sort it :)
