:idol: Ok my dear friends it's like this:

1. download Xilisoft DVD Ripper Platinum 4 for here:

[Only registered and activated users can see links] (Thank you bathrinath ;))

Install it and now follow the next steps:

1. Open the application.
2. Insert a DVD and open it with the application...
3. Select the movie file
4. Now here the trick! Choose convert mode of Blackberry MPEG-4 Video and in the column at your right insert the values of PSP MPEG-4 Video Excellent Quality

It must stay like this:

Video

Video size = 320x240
Bit rate = 768
Frame rate = 29.97
Aspect = Auto
Same Quality = false

Audio

Audio codec = mpeg4acc
Bit rate = 64
Sample rate = 24000
Channels = 2 (Stereo)
Disable audio = False

Now save profile with a name like "N95 video" or something...

Before convert below the profile you have an option that says "Zoom" change it, always, for Full (Keep aspect ratio) and the option "Split" change it for Infinite!

Note: Above have also Audio and Subtitle, make sure you change them for your region for exmple, I'm portuguese and I select Audio: English and Subtitle: Portuguese.

Note2: A film like Lord Of The Rings with perfect subtitle and sound syncronized, image exellent use a 1.2 Gb but we are talking about a 3 hours movie :triodance:!
(all movies that I convert have perfect audio and subtitle syncronized and the image the best I (you) can get. ;)

:triodance: HAVE FUN :triodance:

I ashure you 100% quality!!!

And the end of this work your profile mus look like this picture bellow:

I forgot to say that conversion of large movies will take some time but the results pay off you'll see!!! :)
I don't use Smartmovie, Divx or even Coreplayer, from now on only Real Player (and backlight doesn't go of every (60 secunds like Coreplayer ;))!!!

I use Media Player Classic (Part of K-Lite Mega Codec Pack) anyway, since it doesn't need converting... Too much hassle... Though i rarely watch DVD's/Movies on my laptop... Thats until i'm back at college, since i need some things to fill up my 0.5tb HDD...

i guess a dvd on mp4 format on mobile like n95 will be huge in comparison with avi format..

we do know that a movie on divx is 700MB for a TV quality, so on N95 resolution it should be about 200-300MB, so sizewise divx is still the best

My friends this is for HIGH QUALITY MOVIES, the best of best quality you can get on an N95, If you think you'll safe space on your mobile... This is no good for you, but If you, like me, enjoy quality... THIS IS CERTENALY FOR YOU... ;)
3hours movies = moreless of 1.2 Gb
1h movies = moreless of 500 to 600MB

For me quality pays off thats why I have a N95!!! ;)

but Alberto, I don't think you can differentiate the quality in such a small screen, I mean we all know that smartmovie does play hi quality videos. anyhow I will try your method, and again I thank you for sharing it with us :)

With the 16 million color display of N95 the movies look GREAT!
Don't even compare the mp4 with avi because this one beat's up avi formart 10 to 1! This his like you have a real dvd player in your mobile ;)
