Seems like some people figured out that you can just keep using the "free trial" of MobiTV forever by deleting some files. If you delete the files located in \Program Files\MobiTv\vars.chunk you will keep your "free trial" forever. I am attaching the cab file for MobiTV and a link to the cab file that automatically deletes these files for you. I know a lot of people have been looking for this, myself included and I finally found it.

i have install this on my tmobile mda.just first file and when i start the application it says i have 3 days left with trail.so i need to install second file over it or i have to install this every three days to get another three days extention.

This is an awesome app. SprintTV never worked for me but his one is great! So cool to have TV on my PPC. I just wish it had the same selection of channels as SprintTV but this will do for now.

Yes, you will still get the trial window that pops up. Just run the renewal cab every 3 days and you will keep your "free trial".

Since a few days ago, mine stopped working. It just pops a message saying that the channel is not available at the moment or something like that.

I wonder if the HoFo vs MoviTV thing got something to do with it?...

I'm having some trouble with this program...it seems that the 3 day trial ran out. When I try to reinstall the cab it doesn't renew my trial...when I open Mobitv i get a message that says my trial has expired. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but the same thing happens. me too, I think they updated it and broke the resetting.. we are out of luck until someone comes up with a fix...

Doesn't seem to work.. tried removing everything related to MobiTV on my device and installed this.. even once I run the resetter, it still told me that my trial had expired. It reset it once or twice before though..

thats the one i'm using it worked fine till i switched to a sprint rom from my original verizon one so i could get gps to work. Mobitv works but the trial runs out. when i try to run mobiresseter i get an error can not be opened. either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannon be found...etc. Any ideas on this?

I'm getting the exact same message. I thought it was only me.

I've hard everyones having this problem....
Fortunately tho mine works still - ever since the first time I installed it.

Oh man, it looks like they caught on. I really hope the wonderful hackers can figure out a way around this. I loved this app but I'm not paying $10 a month for it. :suicide:

yes as said by earlier persons me too say sthat i think that guy at company software development has figure out the reset tricks & now that trick wont work.

probably they maintain a MAC address of our devices on their database when we login to view channels for the first time itself means even if we reset the device completely and reinstall the softwares too the MAC address will always remain the same.

have you tried reusing the crack included?

and if the crack didn't work have you been using WM 6.1?

Same issue here. I went more than three days without using it and when I tried to use it it kept asking me to purchase. I also hard reset and nothing. I used the resetter and also deleted files manually and even used a Mort script I made to delete files. Nothing works. I just get Disney Channel and Demo

Yea, they definitely caught onto this "fix". Like someone else said, they're probably keeping track of either our MAC address, phone number, or IME.

ATT just released a new and improved TV service so I'm sure this security update went along with that.

It doesnt create the vars.chunk anymore. To reset was to delete this file. Oh well.

Hi everyone...

Sharing your pain with you all guys, I can't get passed the three day free trial period. I uninstalled the app and all the files that I could find related to it. Does anyone knows of any hidden or install log files in a WM 5 HTC 8125 that could be deleted? I had trouble using other apps like Softick Card Export, for some reason if failed to work when I changed from a memory stick to another, I removed reinstalled... and nothing didn't get it to work, anyway, I resetted the phone to factory settings, and reinstalled everything. Softick works again. Could this be the case for MobiTV? Maybe we don't need to reset the device to factory setting, but rather just delete some registry or log file?

Yes folks, I can attest t them catching on, and also they have updated the version. I called and they stated that they've updated the program. So for the time being, I am now a subscribing member ... ($10/month ..argghhh). I love my mobile tv, lol.

we'd probably need MAC address faker which would make other things in device go wrong then.its like for mobi tv you change your address to some fake one and your real address dependant things like mails phone calls etc will have to suffer.

where do i get the original MOBITV for my treo 700wx...
ok more like is that file everything i need to have mobitv working on my fone for free?
