Maps are from Mapsource (Garmin format) Search for Garmin Maps or MapSource Maps, you must install desktop on PC and sync. Works like a Garmin GPS, so more info in garmin site.

You have to activate external gps (not the bluetooth receiver). works perfect with my n95 and european map. Also the POI-Loader for updating speedtraps works with this version.

make sure you got both your .unl files and map in the \Garmin folder. If you do, just keep on trying. Maybe do a reboot or whatever it takes. It WILL work :)

The solution was:

1-Put file SW.UNL on directory "GARMIN" on my sd (card) with ONLY the "Device unlock key"
2-Put file GMAPSUPP.UNL on directory "GARMIN" on my sd (card) with ONLY the "Map unlock key"
3-Take care about ".txt" extension that notepad put in the end of file's name.(erase the ".txt").

That work for me.

connect your phone to the PC using Transfer Mode or use memory card reader and install the map you want...

and for compelet maps.. you can search any torrent sites like isohunt.com and you will find full DVDs and CDs of different maps...

i don't think there is a version for mac... but try downloading the .exe and try to extract the file with stuffit or any other program and transfer the content of that extracted folder to you memory card!

What's the difference between MapSource and MapInstall???

it doesn't work with external gps - i have holux 236 and the program didn't recognize it

MapSource is to view maps and download data from your GPS... MapInstall will only install saved maps from mapsource to your GPS..

ok my sollution for map id is to get and install mapset to pc. since keygen has only north america nt 2008 and only maps i was able to find dont have unlock code for pc but rather demo, hence my previous problems.

i was able to find only 2 years old north america nt v8 but alas dont know map id. well if anyone does pls let us know or a way to find out.

well since selecting individual regions and transfering to phone generates a custom map i found program called mapedit shareware evaluation which helped me see map id for new generated map (example:
* Defined: 00000708.MDR
* Defined: 00000708.SRT-used last 3 numbers) and i used that to find a key etc.


up and running with slightly older maps.if any know of a faster or better way pls dont be shy to post.

2 things to try....

1. transfer the img file to your E:/Garmin/ on your phone
2. use mapsource to open the file and select the area you want and send it to your phone

I'd like to have both a TOPO and a road map loaded, and then switch between them in the menu (Tools\Manage My Data\Map Sets).

I can create a .img with both mapsets, but it wont unlock the maps...
I tried to put both unlock keys in GMAPSUPP.UNL but it doesn't work.

The closest I have come to solve this is to create 2 different img and unl files
GMAPSUPP_topo.img and GMAPSUPP_topo.unl
GMAPSUPP_Road.img and GMAPSUPP_Road.unl
Then i use yBrowser to rename the files i want to use to GMAPSUPP.img and .unl

Anyone that have an easier solution?

it's best to download the maps (if you can find them) as windows executables .. run the installer and it will install the map into mapsource then use the Unlock Wizard to unlock the map and then you just simply select he area you want (make sure the Map Tap is selected on the left Column and selecting the new installed map from the drop down menu) and then click on transfer to device and you are set.... again check my previous post where i posted the Flash tutorial on selecting map and transferring..

Okay, so I've unlocked the europe map in MapSource, I've selected the area I want and transferred it to Garmin folder on card in phone. There is now a 132MB .img file in there, but the app still says 'no map' when I try to view it.

I've created GMAPSUPP.UNL using the europe dropdown option in the keygen and added that to the garmin folder but still no joy.

Since I have made a custom .img with only a few regions, does this have its own MapID rather than the europe one? Do I therefore have to use the <custom mapset> option instead?

If so, how do I find out the MapID for my .img file?

i didnt dload the file so i dont know what you mean image file, is it garmins .img or cd image like .nrg or .iso, .bin/.cue, .mds/mdf etc.

if its .img from garmin i would think whole file has to be transfered to phone or else but it definitely cant be usable in mapsource noone ever posted full name of the file.

if its cd/dvd image then lolz just burn it or load with daemon then install autorun or run .msi installer, then you can use it after unlocking in mapsource

ok I seem to be having some troubles here, I downloaded the GMXT, transfered the folder to my memory card, and installed it from there. It installed no problem, however when I try to launch the GMXT, it just loads the opening screen, and then goes back to main menu. This happens no matter how many times i tried. I can't even access the settings--> about to get my "Card ID".. can anyone help me out? Thanks in advance!

yes you can install more than one map... and about the name of the img i'm not sure but i think you can change it.... as for the .unl file no need to create more than one.. just paste the code to the existing one .. check the previous page for how to put codes...

connect your E90 via Transfer Mode and run the setup file above and choose your memory card drive... it will install all the necessary files (no need to copy anything or install anything after that) and when the setup finishes disconnect the cable from the PC and you should see the GMobileXT installed on your phone.... try this and let me know

I would like to have two maps in Garmin (Europe and Adria). When I put two maps on my card I should change their names ("GMAPSUPP_Europe.img" and "GMAPSUPP_Adria.img" for instance).Then I should generate unlock code for Adria by keygen (Europe map I had earlier) and put it in one line(withoute spaces) with existing Europe map code in GMAPSUPP.UNL. So I exactly did it and now GMXT see only BASE MAP. I wonder if smthg wrong I did?
p.s. When I delete Adria map and delete unlock code everything is ok and now I can see Europe map.

i haven't tried the voice navigation but make sure you the sound selected in the settings... go to Settings>Audio and make sure the voice prompt is enabled and you have Spanish on the Voice option...

I have only one image file gmapsupp.img containing both maps.
This is what I have done.
Instructions for installing and cracking GarminMobileXTforSymbianS60_41020 find in this thread - start reading from the first post.

1. To install MapSource
First, download and install a copy of >>Garmin’s free Training Center software (http://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=835)<<, designed mainly for use with their fitness GPS units (ForeRunner and Edge). Once this software is installed, you can download and install the >>MapSource update file (http://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=209)<<, and the full version of MapSource will be up and running on your computer

2. Download your maps in exe format (self installing)

3. Unlock them in MapSource (use google to find MapSource unlock keys, or ask someone here - there is no keygenerator for MapSource unlock keys)

4. In MapSource select maps you wish to have and send them to your mobile phone (>>tutorial in flash (http://www.ipmart-forum.com/showpost.php?p=1643378&postcount=143)<< - thanks to PapaDocta)

5. Create GMAPSUPP.UNL with unlock keys (use JetMouse keygen for these) for each map you selected in the previous step and transfer it to your mobile phone (memory card/Garmin/GMAPSUPP.UNL)
put them in the same line (no separator between them)

bas007, what are the names of the two .img files and what is the name of the .unl file. Does the order of the input, ie xxxxxyyyyy or yyyyyxxxxx matter?

it's best to use MapSource or MapInstall to select and transfer the files... as for the two maps are you sure that you put the correct unlock code for Adria?? this could be the problem...

I am almost there! After I installed City Navigator North America 2008, I tried using the keygen. I got the Card ID, but the problem is the keygen was only giving me the "device unlock code", and won't output the "map unlock code" . In the drop-down box, city navigator North america version 2008 is there, so I am not sure what is wrong. Its only giving me the device unlock code, and not the other. I need both to make it work. Can you help me out papadocta?

as you can see in the picture there are two generate keys.. one for the card and the other for the map... after you enter your card id hit generate and then go the second one and hit generate... it should work...

Thanks for the link but I found only .img file and not .exe!!!

try placing that .img on your E:\Garmin\ root folder and hopefully it will be seen by GMobileXT.... i'm yet to find how to install .img to mapsource..

i'm starting to create my own map since there isn't one available for my country.. so be patient and i will post my findings here..

However I am stuck on the last step, when I start Mapinstall on my computer, it says that city Navigator North America NT 2008 is locked, so I click on unlock maps, and then it has a window thats titled "unlock regions", I tried the same map unlock code the keygen gave, doesn't work. What could be wrong here? Sorry for all these questions!

In the attached code, the text said type "DEMO", this is what I did, and I suspect it will turn the map into a Demo, and I remember reading somewhere that when these maps are transfered to phone, it will disable GPS cause its DEMO maps, am I correct? If this is the case, I would have to reinstall city navigator and then try the code u gave me

that's why you need to transfer the maps using MapSource or MapInstall because it will insert the new map into the old one under the same name GMAPSUPP.img... therefore you need to install those maps first to you MapSource and then select the areas you want and transfer them to your device using MapSource or MapInstall.... if the maps are not seen by mapsource try this program http://www.ipmart-forum.com/showpost.php?p=1645728&postcount=255

Woooh000000 Maybe, just maybe I will be able to get some New Zealand maps working on my N95. Program installed fine and internal GPS is working sweet. Currently downloading some New Zealand maps. Hopefully they will work with this very cool app.
Nokia have very limit support for New Zealand maps in there own app.

brillant stuff works a treat only problem is the size of the file 1.3gb map of europe and got the speed cameras as well brillant pity u cant rip the .img to only have UK on. works perfect on N95 with built in GPS. other problems get error need 8mb to run but taskman says theres 10.5mb free, but brillant good post

1. As you can see from the message above yours, a complete upload of City Navigator Europe NT 9 is on the way.

2. The N95 needs an overhead of about 3 MB on top of the program size, so at least 11MBs are needed. If you have Handy Taskman installed, try uninstalling it, as it uses more than 2MB of RAM. Best Taskman is about the same. Also the License Manager of Nokia Maps is dumpworthy, as it takes almost 3 MB of your precious RAM! :(

I am a little confused....I have installed this program fine on my N95-3. Built-in GPS works fine. But I am unable to transfer maps onto the unit.

I have MapInstall and MapSource installed. I have watched that video but it won't let me select the areas I want.

Is there something I am doing wrong?

thanks for the advice wayne. so i should uninstall them in app manager taskman does that run in memory fort it only ran when you loaded it. also nokia maps license would that stop nokia maps from running. which i could find where the nokia maps are i downloaded about 3gigs on maps only really need UK And OZ and im low on the memory after installing this brillant app.

also euro map does not contain croatia, bosnia, serbia and montenegro, for those get adria and scg,they are images posted earlier in the topic.

The NT version uses more compression in the maps. It's the same maps but they run faster on smaller devices. Mobile XT ships with NT maps and I believe you have to use NT maps if you add your own. Not sure, though.
