Dont know if this is old news or in the right place, but i have got the garmin xt working on the nokia 6110 with australian maps... thought id mention it coz there wasnt much here that i could see or it was vague...

I would really appreciate some help with getting the Australian map loaded. I have a 6110 and have loaded and unlocked garmin xt and it is using the internal GPS but I can not work out how to get the maps. I have downloaded "Garmin City Navigator Australia NT 2008-ShareAll" and have the "gmapprom.img" file and have tried using "mapsettoolkit" but not having any luck.

i had trouble finding a map, let alone those files, if youve got it all working with the internal gps, your halfway there...

i used the attached torrent, its the whole mapsource cd, which allows you to male your own maps etc... do that and transfer to your device... and includes the australia wide 2008

install, unlock with the code they give u.... you may have to unlock your 6110 but thats a different kettle of fish and you have that working already by the sound s of it..

where did you get your map from? can you send me a torrent? or link?

sorry antony, i meant about the torrent i attached...
did u d/l the map source torrent? (403mb)
if u run that, it has all the maps etc in already. u can make ur own (city )from it and install to ur 6110..
theres a flash file with showing how that is done

i install map on pc and unlock with code given, send to device
when i turn on garmin i get msg "unlock maps for unit ID"
i am lost now i dont know where to get this 25 character
code..... i have n95 btw, ur help would be great tnx

im not too sure with the n95, but go into the settings -> about page and should have a card id..
put that and the map id (271 if using the mapsource i gave) into the keygen and it will give u that code..

No issues I added tpb tracker to torrent and both downloaded. Very swissh of me!
I also downloaded through tpb "Garmin Unlock Utility" 3MB which looks interesting. Haven't used yet.

If you have newsgroup access attached is an nzb of the same map.

well...firstly 2 words.... "back up" before you start buggering around with stuff.

d/l the garmin xt 6110 torrent shown before. inside that is a mapsource torrent. d/l that toojust run the *.exe file to setup garmin, and then setup the support files the same way.

install map source..use the key it gives u to unlock map. then click on/drag till yellow the maps u want from it. transfer to device

if it says not unlocked maps , in garmin on ur phone goto about, and get the card number
put that and custom map id 271 in keygen 1.3
it will give a code... use the botom one.

hi, first of all thanks for the share, i downloaded the .rar file and i have a question. I'm using Garmin XT with my nokia 6110 and i found gmapprom.img and CNAUSOF.img in the rar file, do i need to copy both file into my memory card and if so do i need to rename one of them as gmapsup2.img (already had a gmapsupp.img inside)?

Connect your phone in data transfer of connect your card reader on your computer and run .exe .
Insert your card in phone and installation begin.
