I have put the two files ( Garminunlocker ) to the Garmin folder on my computer and I have the full version of anavasis.
Which filles of anavasis do I have to put where?

You have to crack it you can find the instuctions inside the 4.10.60 version

you have to go out to open sky and you should wait about 3 minutes until it locks . the first time you use it always takes much time to connect

i beleive that if we start post it here maps for other countries too , the thread will be huge like the main garmin thread , that means that it will be very difficult for someone to find what it looks for. So i beleive that it will be easier if we had seperatly threads for every country.it will be much easier to find what you are searching . For example if i want to find a map of German why do i have to search to a thread with hundrent of pages and maps instead of finding a thread with maps only for german

1. The maps are for different companies :
-Autodrive Hellas is mainly for Cities and it is made from a greek company (and we have updates about every 3 months ) in my opinion is the best map
-Anavasis is from another company it has many small roads but it is not very good for navigation in the cities
-City navigator is the official garmin map , but with poor coverage
2. Mapsource is the program which garmin use in order to transfer the maps to your mobile . The mapsource version of the map has many image files each image for each location , these image files are merged to one image and they are transferred to your device. The usability of mapsource is that you can choose an individual location and transfer it to your mobile , for example you can transfer only creta or Athens.
3. The topo Map you can use it to your pc and the map can only transferred to garmin unit and NOT to mobile
4. the 3 to 1 map is three maps merged to one file and yes you choose which map you want to be visible

3 in 1 map including latest autodrive 1.30, anavasis 3.50 and bluechart greece 9.5 in one img file uploaded to my folder.

You are the one that is wrong aporitos, Garmin works on all S60 phones, not only for v.9.x. There is no different version for N70.

Following the below link you will find a zip file containing the FULL Garmin Mobile XT software (full, meaning with all voice and help files, all vehicles and basemap). By downloading and unziping it you will obtain 2 separate folders: Garmin and System. You may unzip it wherever you want, including your pc or a memory stick. From there just copy/paste those 2 folders on the mobile phone CARD and than INSTALL the GarminMobileXT.sis file (under the Garmin folder.

Which 2 codes???? To unlock the software (in order to 'see' non-garmin gps) you need to generate one code and save it as sw.unl. To unlock the maps you need to generate another code and save it as gmapsupp.unl (or gmapsup2.unl or gmapprom.unl or gmapbmap.unl, depending of the mapset name used - nb...on cards or nuvi only gmapsupp can be used). Those files are 2 completely different files.

on other mobiles it works on others not.there is a strong effort to find whats the cause of this.many people just upgraded their phone's firmware and it worked.others like me had problem and fixed it by installing previous version of garmin and then installing garmin folder and sis of new version over the previous one .no one knows whats happening.but be sure it works on many people and on other not.

Autodrivehellas has a different MapID (821 for English version and 822 for Greek) than Europe (?)

First of all I like to say "efcharisto poli" for all the help in this thread. Now I have all the Greek maps on my Garmin nüvi 200w I need for my holidays in Crete. I'm visiting the island for more than 15 years, but this time it will be the first time with a GPS device. I'm gonna test AutoDriveHellas and Anavisi (on the roads and in the mountains).

I don't know any more if it's already posted on one of these current 36 pages ... but using the GR-Version of ADH you only have to change language settings (only "Keyboard" not "Voice" or "Text") into greek to get the "Where to / Address" (Find) option running.

im not upset guys i didnt meant it that way.
but all the versions that i downloaded have sys or private folder which the N70 doesnt recognise or support or whatever.
i had also searched on the OS8 forum for garmin and found nothing so i was quite sure that its only for OS9 devices.
dont you think it would be a good idea if someone posted it over there also?

and btw....lol... new to garmin doesnt mean new to symbian thats why i said it doesnt works cause sis files for our phones doesnt work on older OS. plus the folders that i everywhere see like sys :)

Here you are quite right, other sections have considerable less info, at least on GPS.
Succesful instalations of Garmin on N70 ar in this section in one of the Garmin threads (if I remember well the 4.10.20 thread).
Anyway no real harm done, later posts show that the guy in question succeeded to install Garmin, he had some trouble unlocking the map.

Hi , I'm a new in garmin also .So , when I experience this problem also , I reinstall garmin once again without uninstall anything . I put first maps that needs mapsource and after this I put maps via "copy/past" (aka .img files.)Then you can activate/deactivate maps with "data manager/δειαχήρηση δεδομένων" and mapsource button.
This procedure worked with me.

I have a work around as I could not extract to Mapsource

Load the 1.25 version on to your mapsource

then on your unit copy and past the 1.30 gmaprom.img to garmin folder

You can upload all your other maps from mapsource EXCEPT 1.25 do not TRANSFER THAT

All you mapsource maps go in gmapsupp.img the ADH 1.30 does its OWN gmaprom.img but you also need the gmaprom.unl to match

Now IF you are using say a Nokia N95 which I tested on

open garminxt go to tools manage my data and map sets

you will now SEE 1,Basemap loaded with XT 2, Detailed maps Built in (Thats 1.30)
and 3, detailed maps garmin
if you press left soft key Mapsource you see the Mapsource maps and can turn them on or off

they all pan together and you can turn off say anvasi and use ADH or vice versa

if you need to add POIs add them on the view them on the 1.25 in mapsource
and transfer JUST POINTS

there is not to much differnce and they go to the Same place but on 1..30 in the device

The Nokia N95 allows the 3 .img files and treats the rom file as a built in map and mapsource as loaded


the map id is the same 821 for 1.25 and 1.30 for key making
this also works on some garmin units but the rom.img must go in the unit not the data card all the supp.img can go on card


Using this method The ADH 1.30 is treated as the factory installed map on the GMXT and you can upload garmin mapsource maps WITH OUT over righting 1.30 just like you dont over right your basemap

GMXT handles the 3 .img files

1, gmapbmap.img the base map never gets over written
2, gmapprom.img the factory installed map never gets over written
3, gmapsupp.img mapsource installed maps changes when you transfer from mapsource
all .img files MUST have a 7 letter name

You can change the name of gmapprom to gmapsupp and it will work but then you CAN NOT add extra mapsource maps with out over righting it

For mapsource there are 3 you can use

if you want it in English choose the LATIN version it is English Chrs

the 3 I have are Euro Greece v 7.08 this is a contour map
Anavasi 3.50 this is like a Toppo map good for Walking routes
and Greece V 1.25 latin this is a road map

ADH 1.30 is the later version of the road map

You can put that direct on the device but browse 1.25 on the pc

It is better if you have 1.30 on the device you are using as it is later but on the PC in a house you do not need the exact detail as you are not moving

Unfortunatley as yet I have not got ADH 130 to transfer to mapsource when I do I will post it

because the .unl needs renameing

With Mapsource map it is called gmapsup.unl
with the ADH it is called gmaprom.unl

Make sure the .img and .unl have EXACTLEY the same name with 7 letters each

If you run the Gunlocker in you garmin folder on PC you do not need to unlock maps any more and then you only need gmaprom.unl map id 821

get your UNIT number from GMxt go to settings and about there is the Unit number to enter and Custom map and 821 is the map to enter

Hi, I want to use the anavasi toponav v3.5.0. to my Garmin gps unit 60CSx.
I follow the installation notes 1-4 but when I try to run the TopoNavKeyGen.exe a message "Σφαλμα εφαρμογης" comes and the Keygen do not work.

What can I do?

The easist fix is download Garmin unlocker Gunlocker intructions come with it but it is so simple
extract .rar coppy all file into you Garmin folder on PC
double click the ALL.bat it unlocks every map in the garmin folder You never need a unl again
each time you add a new map to mapsource just run the all.bat again
you can then transfer to any device

The appicationversion i have upload is for s60 , your mobile as far as i know is uiq so , you should download the version for uiq (search the forum )

3. and it you want to calculate a route longer than 70-80 km , i take a memory error message

Solution looks to resides in using cgpsmapper, same way as ADH 1.25 has been compiled for MapSource. If you've found the solution why aren't you try for ADH 1.30 in English.
Also 1 question for all greek guys - is Skordilis/Geodata selling also the MapSource version of ADH or just on SD cards. I mean, all charts manufacturers are selling their charts in both versions. If I am intending to buy ADH 1.30 on CD/DVD (MapSource version) is it available for sale or not. Could any of you call them for a straight answer. Or should I asked them by e-mail?

believe it or not i never calculated a route with new anavasis until now.if i do i will tell you results.opening map 3 in 1 and europe nt 2008 (which are both installed right now) is fast enough for their sizes anyway.

When using bluechart maps with the XT in PDA, I get depth lines' drawings but not point soundings. Is that normal, or do I do something wrong ?
I didn't find any settings to fix that. Any ideas ?

Dimkit this file has problem to extract.and as i coule see it for pc mapsource.i need the one for mobile (one img) please if u have it.

unzip it with the programm 7 zip and put the password i have to the first page , you can be easily create one image with mapsource or image2 gps program , if you can not i will upload the one image file

I made AutoDrive Hellas V1.30 (only latin chars) to work in Mapsource :)
It wasn't very hard job, but nobody did it before me.

(overwrite old files if you have early version of ADH)

Name of map in Mapsource is "Greece v 1.25 (Latin)" because I used 1.25 vesion of "mapset00.tdb"
I had no time to correct it - this file is not going into GPS, but whole V1.30 map is! :)

My friend don't even think about it , destinator is far far better than Garmin , with rating from 1 to 10, garmin take "4" and destinator "10".
But unfortunatelly garmin is the only solution for symbian phones(it is better than sygic), at least until destinator is available for symbian phones

WRONG. For Greece at least, Destinator (via NGi) has the best coverage and support. Their map is excellent with coverage even on islands, frequent updates and with many POIs, in addition to having an excellent support forum where u get monthly updates of maps (for free if uve bought it), the application, POIs (incl speedcams and dangerous points - free even if u HAVENT bought it). I have tried both and other than the Interface (Destinator is simple but ugly) Destinator is the easy winner here.

Webain you are absolute right , from a first look the garmin looks fine , looks like it has very good maps for greece with good routing etc.. . but if you frequently use the program (only a few use it) you will noticed that the maps sucks. At least in Creta only few times i managed to arrive to my destination without a problem. it tries to go me ilegal from one way roads , and road which has been constructed the last year there are not to the map with result a route which normaly is 30 minutes it takes 45 50 minutes .Garmin is the only "best" sollution for greece for symbian devices until we have a really good map or until destinator is available for symbian devices

anyway i found a way how to install mapsource maps that have only tdb and images inside (no setup) without have to occupy with registry!i never manager to install anavasis or autodrive pc mapsource maps with editing registry on vista.now i just made it and its too easy.

I want the 1.25 mapsource version for 2 reason
1.with 1.25 mapsource version installed on your pc , you can easily create the 1.30 mapsource version with just choosing to receive a map from the mobile
2.in mapsource you can unlock the maps, that means that you don;t need to have the unl file , and the most important of these is that WE CAN EDIT the map , add roads change directions etc.

as i can see you have try it woth mapset toolkit , i have try it but i get an error massege to convertion

of course u can use it to remove maps from mapsource.this is useful because some maps i tried until now dont show on add and remove programms on vista.so u just remove the reg file using this programm and then delete by yourself folder of the map and you are ok.if you only remove the folder of the map (without reg file first) mapsource will show you error while trying to open.

NOKIA N72 is s60 v.2 so it is compatible with GMXT 4.10.60.I can see that the map is there but there is no way to tick and choose it.Basemap works ok.

Any ideas plz?

For mapsource there are 3 you can use

if you want it in English choose the LATIN version it is English Chrs

the 3 I have are Euro Greece v 7.08 this is a contour map
Anavasi 3.50 this is like a Toppo map good for Walking routes
and Greece V 1.25 latin this is a road map

ADH 1.30 is the later version of the road map

You can put that direct on the device but browse 1.25 on the pc

It is better if you have 1.30 on the device you are using as it is later but on the PC in a house you do not need the exact detail as you are not moving

Unfortunatley as yet I have not got ADH 130 to transfer to mapsource when I do I will post it

Do not forget that in Creta espesially in Heraklion streets are changing directions very often and it is not official.
It depends of the constrations or traffic that last years (have started with Olympics 2004) are many.
So if nothing is official how garmin mapmaker could knows.

these are not files to burn.loool this is the format of the maps.just transfer them to garmin folder of your memory card.

First of all I would like to express my thanks and gratitude for this marvelous post!
Thanks to the information I read here I managed to install Garmin 4.10.80 into my Nokia 6110 Navigator and enjoy the ARH1.3 map.

Secondly, I'm having a rather strange problem and wonder if anyone can help me.
I also have the City Navigator Europe v9, so what I would like to do is combine the
AutoDrive Hellas map with the map of London (only).
To do that I am using (well, trying to use!) MapSource.
I have installed AutoDriveHellas English source, and activated it. Europe v9 is also activated, both with the unlock wizard and for the cardid I'm using.
I select the maps ok, and then select "Transfer to device".
Indexes are produced normally, but at 86% of map building, the process stops with a very strange error :
"The map set size is approximately 56.8Mb, but only 296.9Mb is available at the destination. Please choose a smaller map set and try again."

I also tried one map only... Same thing.
Tried installing to other memory card.. same thing.

Any ideas please?

Or.

First erase (but you may backup before) the file gmapsupp.img from the device and after that send new map to device.

Apparently u try to transfer to a memory card with free space less than the needed to put the whole map u want to transfer.solution buy a bigger memory card (2gb for example.

Install to a memory stick (with a Garmin folder inside) in the USB port, it will be detected by Mapsource, then copy the gmapsupp.img file to the device.

I tried that too, but it didn't work. Funny thing is that it worked a few days ago, for one time I tried with just the London compilation.
I also tried without the gmapsupp.img in the folder. Same error.
The memcard is 2Gb and has 250Mb free. I also tried an empty 2Gb memory wthh 1.6Gb. Same error.
Maybe something to do with unlocking the maps?

Anyway, as a temporary solution, I have put the ADH1.3 as gmapprom.img and the whole UK I had as gmapsupp.img and it seems to work fine now.

If I may comment on the navigator itself (the software I mean), I THINK that Route66 that comes with the 6110Nav is better.
I'm doing some tests with my daily route home-office-home to see which of the two will follow the route I usually take more closely.
If anyone interested I will post results here.

I just tried the whole procedure on another PC as well. Same weird result!
And the fun continues! Now, not even one single map can be saved!

Thank you. I have read all the posts but this program I say is quite different, it is for pc and you can see and print maps without navigation capability. And after that is any maps available compatible with garmin xt for air navigation, Europe.

Ohh.. Plenty!... Around 40Gb on the affected partition.
Also just tried with the antivirus disabled. Same error...
Empty memory stick... Same Error...
58Mb map set won't fit into a memory with 1.8Gb free?!?!?!?

Something else is wrong here... And I can't figure out what. It doesn't make
any sense!

I am trying to make the program work with mio p350 PDA, I use franson gpsgate 2.6 but still the program can't find gps. I make the same with my eten x500 and averything goes well. The only problem is that with mio can't find the gps else the program works well. Any idea?
And has anybody a program with maps for air use can work in a pda?

I understand you have a Nokia 6110 - do you know a way to get the speed-camera sound to be what you want - allert from your one allert-file - f.ins. speed camera ahead - or some thing like that.. I get only a beep tone - and a red label warning for the installed POI's for speed camera.

Here is my content of the /GARMIN folder in my Nokia 6110

It is the basemap, the ADH1.30 greece, Anavasi 350, Norway Topo and City Nav 2008 and finaly BlueChart Atlantic ver 2008 - wery good function.

I have allso POI for speedcamera ( scandinavia: NO, SWE, FI and DK ) - read my other post.

I can not make 3in1 work with 4.10.80 version
(I put the 2 codes first the code for 822 and then the 254 together

I had the same problem. The solution is to remove garmin app from your phone , then setup the version 10.60 of Garmin. Put the 5in1 or 3in1 map and you see that it is working (after unlock of coarse). Then you can upgrade to 10.80 version (if you have problem in setup of 10.80, go in E:/resource/2000dce and delete the file GarminXT.py or something like that and try again the setup). It worked on N82

αλλα αναζητηση μπορειτε να κανετε και στα ελληνικα , αλλα αν καποιο μερος υπαρχει μονο στον Anavasis και οχι στον Autodrive Hellas θα πρεπει να το ψαξετε στα αγγλικα.
Κατα την δικη μου γνωμη αφηστε επιλεγμενο μονο τον Autodrive Hellas δεν πιστευω να υπαρχει κατι που μπορει να μην βρειτε.

The two links includes Garmin Xt s60 4.10.60 with 3 greek maps merged to 1 file
The 3 merged maps are the below
1. Autodrive Hellas 1.25 with full coverage of Greece , from major Cities to small Villages with greek fonts
2. Anavasis 3.43. It has better coverage than autodrive (even very small streets) but with bad routing & with english fonts
3.Blue chart Atlantic . it is for the sea.

As a default choise are checked all 3 maps , but if you want to choose only one you can make it by setting/data manager / maps / mapsource.
If both maps are checked only the autodrive is in front and from the others you can see only some POI , hight of the mountains and the depth of the see.
In my opinion you should better choose only Autodrive Hellas

The application is tested by me to a Nokia N95 8GB , and it works fine

Some info. Tried to install the 3in1 supp.img , supp.unl & prom.img on a sd to a Nuvi 250 with North America maps to have euro coverage and it didnt work for me, even changed files to sup2.img etc. maybe missing something.

If you are using the greek version of autodrive , you must set your phone language to greek too

yes this is Autodrive Hellas 1.25 & anavasis 3.43.
The find section works fine, but you must have the Greek Version of Garmin (with greek menu).
If you use the engilsh version of garmin (with the english menu ) in order to find the location you want, you have two options
1. you must write all the name location as it has or you will write only the 4 first letters .
For example if you are looking for Αθηνα , you must write to the search only the four first letters Αθην not one more, not one less

I own a Garmin Nuvi 650 with preloaded the City Navigator Europe NT v9 unlock.
I installed GreeceAnavasi and Autodrive.
When I have all chequed it can not Display the Road letters.
When I have Auto drive off It displays the letters correctly but it can not find the roads, when I type the address (you can only type in English).
It only finds roads that are loaded in City Navigator.

What do you suggest.

Paidia Kalhspera. It's the first time i'm making such a foolish question but i am having a rather weird problem. I have a nokia 7610 and the map fonts are not shown correctly. I have tried installing 4.10.60 from this page, 4.10.80 from defconx and the official update from garmin. The .sis from both above .rars cannot be installed by any means, and the phone returns an error message "unsupported function (-5)" ("mh yposthrizomenh leitourgia (-5)") and the number might change to -1 or -1000. I have no idea what that means. anyway defcon's rar has no need for installation since it has all files included, even the ones in the "system" folder, so i have managed to to run the program and made all necessary actions for the maps to be recognized. i have the old 4in1 package. There seems to be no support for the greek language, not even the choice to have the menus in greek although there are plenty of other languages. i have put the greek voice file and the greek help file but in vain. Ofcourse my phone has support for greek. i haven't had such a problem with r66 or tomtom. Does anyone has an idea of what's wrong? Is there maybe another version of the .sis file for s60 ver2 phone? thanks !

regarding the installation Problem i think that you will have to format your phone memory or memory card or Both.
Now about the fonts problem , first during the installation you have an option to choose the Greek language , so you must have the greek language of Garmin installed and second , you must set your phone language to Greece

Well Greek is selected as the phone's language. It seems that the main problem is that i cannot install it properly, especially if during installation there is an option for greek support. I was hopping to avoid formating the phone but there is no other way. I even tried to install True Type Font support, but it didnt solve my problem. I'll format the phone and keep you informed.

Delete the file "gmsup" in D:\Garmin\Resources\Symbian\Apps .. then you can choose other language than Taiwan, English.. also change keyboard layout - by deleting the file you get multilanguage.

Gpag, you mean /garmin/apps/symbian/res ? If so there was no such file. i even created one and entered something like
[SYMBIAN]
LOCAL_VER=GREECE

because i read a taiwanese guy made it work like this, but nothing happened. The thing is, i can select various languages about 10 different ones, but not greek! There is no option to see the text in greek in settings->display. I formatted the phone and mmc but it didnt help, different error message and the installer won't run. I dont know maybe my phone is too old for this program...

SO i've spend my whole morning trying to fix this. The exact message in english that i get when trying to install via garminmobilext.sis is "installer : feature not supported". It seems that 7610 uses an older version of s60 ver2 with feature pack 1 instead of 2. And probably the .sis file is compiled using a later sdk package intended for fp2. Has anyone managed to make garmin work with proper greek on a 7610 or 6600?

no folder!in order to unlock the *.img you must make the c***k with the extension .unl without the .txt

I've studied this forum carefully, and i installed the 3-1 greek map on my w960. ocasionally it was slow though and i think i'll have to use a smaller map...

I had a problem trying to install topo on my pc. extracting the rar file gave me 4 more rar files. i extracted them too and tried to run the setup fil. after some steps, pressing 'next'button wouldn't work. Can anybody help?

One more question: Is there a difference between the topo and the anavasis maps?

If you have the 3in1 map or the 5 in 1 map do not replace!!!
If you have the maps installed separately just change the 3.50 map with the new 3.60 but you have to remember from before what was the name that you have give for the 3.50 so you have to give to the 3.60 the same name with the 3.50.
I hope that this was clear enough.

Yes 822 is for AutoDrive in greek and 295 is for Bluechart. Anavasi doesn't need unlocking code

Sorry my mistake the unlocking code is 295. The bluechart map that is included in my 3 in 1 is the 2008 version and it works fine! Thank you for the correction and for the work have done!

i want to point that if you have city navigator europe nt2008 installed in garmin folder then search will be done only with english characters even if u disable this map through garmin mobile mapsource.the only way is to remove it from there (for example to root of your memory card) and place it back again if you need it

How did you downloaded file? Did you use same kind of downloading manager like Getflash or you downloaded just with browser (IE, Opera, Firefox etc.). If the answer is first option (down. manager), than you have cause of your corruption.

All mapsource versions that you upload here (autodive hellas and anavasis) have search-address problems when uploaded to a garmin gps unit (type etrex or gpsmap). The search does not work!
