I heard there is no uninstall file for this... is it true?

Moguledyouth
15th February 2008, 05:41
The question is... where do you place the QVGA skin files to get them to work?

You have to replace the standard_skin.zip file in \Application Data\Opera9\skin on your WinMobile device.

I have to say it's pretty fast and smooth.

Enybody knows how to change dafauld opera cache folder? When I install new Opera, it's located at the main memory in folder /Aplication Data/Opera9/ (with many other Opera's folders and files).
When I try to open webpages with streaming (like youtube.com), main storage is quickly full, and all my PDA crash...
So, I think - it's a good idea, to move Opera Cache into Storage Card. But how??

This is a whole new experience surfing on a pocketpc with this program.I was never really one to check things online using my pocketpc but I like the ease of use of this program. And how you can simply double tap to zoom in or out. Good stuff!

Installed to my SD card and its works "ok". They still need to tweak this app though. When double tapping on a section of a website, the font appears to big and I have to constantly drag left and right to read text....quite annoying. No flash support :-(.

Other than that this app show web pages in full html. Pretty kool.

Same problem on my HTC Universal with WM6 ROM of James Wright. I think it's a missing DirectX DLL in the ROM or something. Searched everywhere but cannot get a solution (seems a very uncommon problem). Will try a different ROM soon, will let you know if it does the trick.

I am not too sure if I like it, coz everything is too big for my X7500, WM6 with Real VGA. And I like my screen real estate huge and spacious, where I can see everything.

Since there is no 'Unstallation' option, SO, I used spd backup to restore my baby to the 'Preinstallation' state. and Its gone, and I am back to my Netfornt and Opera 8.65. Its very sleek and snappy, and I am an opera fan, but this is Just not my piece of Opera.

For anyone with issues about installing opera to their storage card, try using pocket mechanic. There's a function in that program that allows you to move installed programs to the storage card and that usually works a charm. it changes all the registry keys and such. in the meantime, while that's all good and dandy and swaps opera over the storage card, its a very nifty tool for keeping your Pocket PC up to scratch!

There's a function when you scroll down in pocket mechanic called Relocate. just press next until you get to the screen with a list of programs that you've recently installed.

look for Opera and choose where you want to move Opera to. think it should be pretty self explanatory.

sorry i haven't included screenshots.
