please help. i'm desperate. I have a PNA Nortek Roadmaster 350, and someone has unlocked it, and put igo on it, and also another programs. it's my boss pna. but, my boss plaied in it, and now, when he open the pna, doesn't start igo, start a file manager program. each time. how can i do to put igo back, each time that i restart pna or power on, to start igo. i've tried to copy in windows/startup folder but still nothing. i've tried to edit this registry:

So, I have a Zire 71, which I'm very proud of by the way :)
However, I noticed that after installing some programs which are patched or cracked (or at least that's what the filename says) aren't registered?
What's the procedure? For some programs in particular do I need to install the application first and then overwrite it with the patched one?

Are there any applications that can extract an application from a WM5 unit? I see where guys are pulling/stripping HTC OEM apps from their phones. I want to pull an app I bought from my old PDA and install it on my tilt. I have the app, but don't have the password/serial. I contacted the developer but since it is an annually updated app they said I couldn't get the new version unless I paid again. I just want the old version that I have.

Since I have the uninstalled app as well, is there anyway to hack it and get the password?

sorry if i'm ignorant but when i had the nokia 3250 once i installed the yahoo GO for symbian and it had yahoo messenger incorporated...in pocket pc edition there is not..how come?that was a very nice version...with all the PC version options included...does someone know if there exists a version of yahoo messenger for ppc?i've allready tryed the one's on the forum..but they on't work..i use slick for the moment.sorry for my bad english and for this messed up thread.thank you all anticipated

I lost my windows media player after a 2 hard-reset in the past 3 months, and I lost track of when I start losing my Media player as I was too busy to test the 'built-in'/resident programme which are supposed to reside in the ROM no matter what!

But its gone!:suicide: Anyway I can find a CAB file of the Windows media player out there? Or is there anyway to get it back?

-I tried launching SPB-BackUP to explore into a backup volume made months ago hopefully I can restore the thing without Hard-resetting, but there is also no files inside my 'Windows Media Player' folder which I made months ago.

-I had considered upgrading the ROM and stuff, but fear that I could brick my phone when I have little cash to spare.

This is one freaky problem, I know.

:Dhi i have tried the fantastic game rayman ultimate on several of my pda's including xda atom, spv m500 and the spv m3100.
(works great on xda atom and spv m500:good2:)

But when i play it on spv m3100 it runs a bit slow:( i hard reseted my m3100 to try resolving this problem but it doesn't make a difference.

I have o2 XDA II and o2 Atom (pure atom), both upgraded to WM6.1.
I can't seem to pair both via bluetooth to play Warfare, whether one goes as host, & the other the client.
They don't seem to find each other, & I wonder why.
I haven't paired them, but both discoverable.

I'm thinking it might be the bluetooth version.
o2 XDA II bluetooth version 1.17, Atom is 2.0.

Using Phone Alarm so that I can take an Mp3 as notification-signal.
Would like to vibrate the ppc as long as this Mp3 is running,cause I am working at a very loud place and I nearly cant hear the phone!

For those interested to view and input chinese on yur WM6 device try the following patch

You need to install the Chinese Font AND the ZTA4 Input (choose either the VGA or QVGA version)

Copy the cab file from sunglobe.cab.zip into yur memory card to install
Copy the extract folder from the QVGA or VGA into yur memory card and run the cab file frm yur PPC. Just click OK when prompt

After that yur ppc will restart and you should be able to view chinese after that.

I have tried to use the Tengo Keyboard 2.1 keygen (KeyGen-byhdf.exe) a dozen times (!) but cannot get the thing to register successfully. I have seen no explanation on how to use, so what I did is copy the keygen onto my WM6 device, find in file explorer, execute. This opens the Tengo settings and generates the serial. When I (carefully) enter the serial I get Invalid Registration Key!

The game looks interesting and is available in this forum, but you need to download the voices add-on to get spoken dialog (there's a music add-on as well). There was also an update to 1.06 (or 1.07) available, but again it's not available from z-logics.

I've searched pretty throughly and even though the downloads were free, no other site seemed to have ever offered them for download. Every reference points to z-logics' own download page.

I am looking at moving from a Treo 700P (Palm OS) to a PPC device. The program I use most often on the 700P is Takephone.

It basically a phone dialer, but unlike most dialer programs it allows you to setup different calling profiles. This enables you to dial numbers that you have stored in your phone several different ways. For example, a cell # in Mexico would be stored in my phone as +52 (331)123-1234. If I were dialing that cellphone from the US I would select a defined profile and my phone would dial that number as 011521(331)1231234, but if I was actually in Mexico I can select a different dialing profile and it would dial the number as 0441(331)1231234.

I travel to other countries quite a bit and I HATE having to write down a phone number I have stored in my phone to dial it using different formats. I'm pretty sure that Windows Mobile cannot handle dialing a stored phone number in several different ways.

Does anyone know of a program on the Windows Mobile platform that can handle this?

The tree of my SD card looks like in the attachment [Only registered and activated users can see links] and in the added thread to ascea's thread [Only registered and activated users can see links] I hope I was allowed to do this ad. file:///C:/DOKUME%7E1/ohjo/LOKALE%7E1/Temp/moz-screenshot-2.jpgI used the europe iso-map (extracted) and the iGO8 program Igo8_PDA_PNA_PC from rapidshare, both pap and prog, are from Jan./Febr. 2008. When I had everything on the SD-Card I ran iGO8.exe from PDA-SD-Card. It started, asked me for the language, I confirmed and then the prog iGO8 came up with the starting screen (winding street with iGO My Way logo in center and GPSAPP CTOR in the lower right corner). No error message came up, the prog just froze. I had to do a reset. A new test, replaced iGO8.exe with iGO8.exe (no_time restriction) did not solve the problem. Please could you check if I have the right file-dir-structure on my card or do I have the wrong -.lic or license.db? Thank you for help, astorgus

At the moment I synchronize my PPC with Outlook on PC and after that I synchronize my mobile phone with Outlook so that both devices allways have the same "informations".

You can backup your device including registry using SPB backup or SBSH backup, both of which you'll find on the forum.

Not sure what app will give you an animated effect when playing music like desktop WMP, if that's what you mean.

I never try this, but I think SDIO can work with common SD slot. As I have been told once, that Xda II can now support WiFi adapter with SDIO.

I have problem with combining of files from PPC monthly archives from NT_VIRUS
PPC APPs bigger then 5 MB are divided into 2 or more files. I tried it combine togetger by Total comander and Salamander commander,then rename it in to *exe file and execute... But every time it is impossible. Where is mistake? Thanks a lot for help

Yes, i tried it.I.e Archive is compressed into file Anthelion,size 6MB.After decompresing this file it is divided into Folders AnthelionA and AnthelionB with files Anthelion.001 and Anthelion.002 I put both this file into new folder and tried them combine by Total commnader and salamander commander.It is possible and final file has extension Anthelion.out with size 6MB.Then i renamed this file into EXE and executed. but no action didnt occur. Semewhere is error.
Could i ask directly NT_VIRUS?

I recieved correct process from NT_VIRUS. Maybe i am totaly llama, but who dont know how combine and run bigger archives(5 or more MBs) then process is following...
Extract file xxxxx.zip. File is divided into 2 files, extract them.Now are created 2 or more folders,with files xxx.001 and xxx.002 .Copy file xxx.002 to folder with xx.001 file and open file xxx.001 in Winrar again.My fault was i did combine these files by some Commander, but that is mistake.

i have a problem running Destinator 6.1 or 7 on my O2 Flame.
i dont know if its a nvidia gfx combatibility problem or something else, no error messages or something the program is loading fine but both destinator 7 and 6 going slow and when i tap any button the screen gets scrambled like when a vga card has a problem on a computer.

O2 Flame is running under wm5, screen is vga, everything else runs fine, i also installed new iGo and it runs great (wish it had the detailed maps of destinator, then like someone said "bye bye destinator" this program is really smooth, fast, more friendly etc etc), i am sure i havent done anything wrong,

any tips please ?

i've got a satnav system running on win ce 5.0, 400mhz arm cpu and 256mb onboard ram & an sd slot.

i'm trying to move the my documents folder to the sd card so i can install tomtom and use maps (tomtom 6.010 seems to work upto getting 'no maps found')

i've been workin on this for a few hours now, and my findings are;

when editing the registry to have a shell folder (hklm>explorer>shell folders (i think thats the path, the unit is at work and i've just got in)) there was no 'my documents' dword registry value, so i created one and set it to \SDMMC\ and then went further down hklm and seeing another instance of system>explorer>shell folders, this had a 'my documents' entry, so i changed it from \my documents to \SDMMC\

rebooted the unit and my sd card was titled SDMMC2 - and i couldnt delete the my documents folder.

some further digging around, there is a 'my documents.ini' file in windows, which appears to call a .dll file (again, its a standard thing to happen, butmemory hazy as i've just finished a massive ~18hr shift) but i cant edit the file as its Hidden/Read Only..... and the wince device cant see that file as i'm assuming the 'show OS files' is set to 'no' somewhere - however i can view it when browsing using my laptop

i'd like to think i'm fairly techy and capable of sorting this out, but i keep going round in circles ;(((

any help or thoughts on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated ;)

in summary, i'm sure i've got my mappings right to point to sdmmc in the registry, i've even added a currentmap.dat to see whether that helped (it didnt)

I have Tom Tom & Route 66 running on MDA Vario III in the UK, both can receive traffic data.

Route 66 uses TMC with gprs I believe, TomTom uses a proprietry system.

Is there any way to use TMC with Igo8 with my internal gps just like Route 66 or is it something embedded within Route 66?

Do I need an external TMC receiver but as Route 66 doesn't what can be done?

I can't find any clients which support the MSN protocol that work with Pocket PC 2002...

Everything is for Windows mobile 2003 and newer !!!

Maybe some one still have an iPAQ in the h36xx/37xx range here ?

well thanks for your reply... i've looked at the search result sure... there's are TONS of app for Pocket pc ... but still MSN Messenger protocol is update once or two in a year so an app from 2005 - 2006 - 2007 wont work with the current protocol... i need something that it's still updated and alive...

That iPaq is so great , i can play gameboy with morphgear, go on the internet , listen to mp3s that's nice but chatting would be awesome !!!

I'm a programmer, well i'm interested to do my own messenger program but since Embedded visual tools from microsoft is offline and dead my chance are slim... also the msn protocol is undocumented and proprietary ... WHY!!!! (cry)
