unfortunately city searching does not working properly eq. I can't find Liverpool on GBR map. :(

I tested the version 7.52 with the maps from the previous version.

After a while, the application closed and every time I open it, says KERN-EXEC 3 and closes.

I can't understant what is wrong.

this works, I've got it fully working on my phone and this info is also discussed in the sygic navigational system thread.

these are the maps that I got from that other forum, too. I downloaded and put IRL on my phone. the all maps.mlm is still needed for this one too. but once all that was done and I got my device code from that other forum, it's working perfectly.

in saying that though, I still don't like this and although the maps are claiming to be 2008, it's still missing a big road right beside my house, that's been there for about 2 years, now. also, I don't really like it, the voice navigation's a bit off and in all honesty, I think the program's a bit flimsy. same as I feel about Route66 and Garmin, if I'm honest. I can't wait till someone cracks either TomTom or Navigon, for me to try, or I go out and buy one of them, because, tbh, if I eventually do spend money on a mobile Sat Nav, none that I've tried so far (Route66 7.3.545 and v8, Garmin 4.10.60, Sygic 7.0.89 and now 7.52) are worth the money that is being charged for them. incorrect, old maps, mis-navigation and severely lacking in features.

Anyways problems on this version are reported in all forums that have it.
Please note that the installation directories are changed from the previous version.
Also you need a licence key for this version since it's not cr***.

I very dissapointed becouse city searching does not work on 7.52 version. For eq. I can't find London, Liverpool on GBR 2008.Q1 map. This issue also exists on other maps: Poland, Germany etc. I don't know what is fault ? Application or maps ? Even 2007.10 maps does not work.

I just pinpointed my home position there without any problem. dunno what's the story.

Just to make clear and to avoid confusion for other members:
this version is not cr***d
This is just the retail version: previous one v7.0.89 was cr***d (by BiNPDA) .

You need an activation code that you can get either buying the program or registering to the russian site and then ask them to generate one for you.
Follow the suggestion already posted here and in the other Sygic thread.

There is another way: became a testing partner for Sygic (as I am ;))
Send a request via email to them stating why you want to became a tester.
You will receive all the updates in advance and a special registration code.
Plus at the end of the test, you will receive a full final version :)

doesn't function ok. In the Netherlands he can't find for example Eindhoven,
one of the biggest cities here.
I think the problem is that we don't have the correct maps for the

Ive installed this app several times on my N82 but its a total new deal,even the file/folders structure on the card is different-I guess if any map for Greece will be found,until now none works-before there was a folder Sygic and Maps(in this folder was another folder GRC in my case which had all mapfiles such as.Ar2,.LvO,.g3,....etc) and a folder wcl,and two .mlm description notes.
Its sure that these maps dont work with the new version so we need new maps,Ive seen some of them have been posted(Greece not yet),however when trying to deploy the app it gives a popup KERN EXEC 3!,I havent found the reason for that but it must be related to the whole installation progress which could be different now.

probably badly copied files. directories MAPS, DRIVE, RES ... must be in the ROOT of your memory card...

we need new maps. that is the problem... this version is not compatible with older maps. such a pity.

i found map version 7.54 for romania and the search is not working .i think is something wrong with the program .

Everybody experiences (city) search problems (for Nederlands, UK, Romania). The same happened to me (do not find Bucharest).
However an old bug was cleared: on N80 I no longer need to rotate the screen before launching Sygic. Tomorrow I'll check the other bugs: ridiculous long remaining time, route calculation from Bucharest to Snagov that allways crashed phone (if I find some way to search destination).

We all believed that this version is a final one not a BETA one. So, if already KNOWN BUGS (see city search) what is coming on?
Should we wait for a NEW reliable version (indeed, some problems fixed in this version - no problems with QWERTY now, works fine, but other appeared).
For the time been, I will keep my GM XT and wait for a good version of Sygic to work without big problems.

OK, that was my hope too, that this version is still BETA not FINAL (as there are many bugs). The one I've installed is showing 7.52 (374) build 0/630D. I don't have it anymore on my phone (uninstalled). I use to 'play' with different version of GPS software trying to find out which is better (for me at least). As advised, for the time been, I will keep GM XT (no offense)

I downloaded all the new tested map and enter de key from 3ppc and it worked for me. And before that I had a map "_mlm" with all mlm files I think that's the problem why I had "No map loaded". Hope this helps for you.

I have Sygic 7.52 on my N95 8GB installed.
This version is not stable and it lacks many city names.
The POI (Speed-Cams) will not show.
This version, I can not recommend for the N95 8GB.

I will wait for a stable version.

With the map of Romania taken from post #71 (....sygic.com/testing/EasternEurope.zip ) dated 18.02.2008 I did not have the city seach bug. Typing BU I could find Bucuresti and Buzau. I also checked the map of Belgium, and I could also find cities and streets, unfortunately only their flemish names.
So the city search bug was due to the maps and it was solved.

Probably you have a veeery simple testing map like we have for Romania (800 k).
You have to wait for a map like the rest of us.
If you want to see more you can download any file from post #71 and in the Maps folder find the folder wcl. Copy this folder in the Maps folder on your telephone and only the continents will be green - you will see the seas in blue...

I think everybody here initially installed the maps from 3ppc and these had the city search bug.
The new maps downloaded from sygic (links in post #71) do not have this problem anymore, but the maps are still not detailed.
So we have to wait.
Sygic will have to release a stable new version very soon - they already show it at cebit Hannover - it would be stupid commercially to put it on the market long after the exhibition.

Nice logic, wrong conclusion. I have a newer version of TomTom (6.02) and probably a newer Benelux map (67,4 MB folder; files inside are dated 21.03.2007).
I was 10 days ago in Brussels and I could easily find on TomTom the street where my hotel was: Rue Royale (and not Koningsstraat) also other addresses I was interested in (Rue Saint-Jean and others). On the map itself the names appear in flemmish - so is the route description: turn right on ...laan, continue on ...straat, but you can find adresses with the French name. If you want this map I can upload for you.
Same is valid for all: Route66, Garmin, Sygic (old version).

No it isn't, but you can use it free anyway.

Put the v7.52 files in the root of the phone, and delete the old sygic folder[e:/sygic] (if you have it).

Next install the new version.

Delete the old maps (they are located in here ==> e:/maps/***)... But do NOT delete allmaps.mlm, belgium.mlm and license.txt.

If you have done it like this, the newer version will automaticly take over the license from the old version once you start the application, and you don't have to activate it again.

This worked on my N95.

No application by a certified application developper should be signed. No you do not need to sign this app.

It works with the N95 internal gps, so it should also work with the N95 8GB. There are some known bugs with the N95 8GB devices, but those bugs depend more on the Phone settings itself than the application.

well thats one way to do but its rather annoying to do that everytime you wanna start the program, guess its a bug with sygic and Nokia n95 phones.

Another thing annoying is that 'Rotate Me' does not work once sygic is opened

But when i want to navigate the app wont find most of the city's in the benelux. Also when i type the zip code the program crashes.

same place for the upi's but you need to use the new ov2-to-upi convertor of the new version of sygic and the bmp go in res\icons and not sygic\icons

Yes, you're right Adrian, it's free to download but it's just a three days trial, you steel have to get a license from rusian forum and the map it,s not my favorite, it has a lot of bugs, but it's definitely the most recent.

It's no different from any other map posted for this version of Sygic. You need a license from the russian site (old one works O.K.) and it might be full of bugs but we have a chance to test now the new version of Sygic here in Romania.
Also, this being an official trial release, it might mean that an improved final version will be released soon, and that the maping of Romania will not remain at the 800k level as it has been for the last month for those of us that have installed the new version,
It also a good sign for us Romanians as I feared Sygic might want to stick to TeleAtlas only, that did not improve Romania's coverage (see the latest Route66).
Also, from a brief look, the map has at least 1 point ahead of ROAD 2006, i.e. coverage of Poiana Brasov (inexistent as a city on Garmin maps).

You right again, this map it's way better than RO.A.D.2006,it's very new, i test it
today for 2 hours and excluding the bugs, it's good and new, it has even roads that are finished a few month ago (extension of A1). To be clear, i liked much more than Garmin. And i think in the future it will a very good navigation software, maybe one of the best.

I don't know why you getting this message, i go tomorrow in a trip 1200km, i made itinerary and everything it's ok, let me test it a day or two, i just got it today.

I think it's a map bug. I didn't encounter this but I had problems computing a route from Bucharest to Snagov (str Ghermanesti) both with the old map/software and with the new one of today. With the old version I had to reset the phone, today with the new version it froze so deep I had to remove the battery to get out of the computing route screen.

Let's hope the retail version will remove some of the bugs.
I'm also disapointed that Sygic removed the display of the numbers on the current street. It was the only software, of the four I have used, that had this feature.

On a different idea, any of you know how to increase fonts size? It's terribly small on N80.

We are not talking about the same thing. It's about the numbers on the street you are driving. The old version of Sygic displayed continuously the numbers of the buildings on the left and on the right, like in the picture in the link below (Rue Du Pont Neuf 1/2 where 1 was the number of the house on the left and two the number of the house on the right):

You have to put all the folders in the instalation kit on the root of the SD card, NOT in a folder. Some will overwrite existing files. You also need a Map folder and a *.mlm file in the Maps folder. The map must be new version 2008 Q1, old maps do not work.

Thats right. I am testing McGuider 7.50319 now. It works now perfectly. Now the only thing we need is a version that stays on working. The testing version is working till 3-4-2008.

I took a look around and found the 7.50.319 under the weird new name. Despite the lower version number, it appears to be a lot newer than 7.52. The signature on the .sis says it's from marts 19, while 7.52 is from february 29.

It seems that the previously 'hidden' cities are now available, but it still is a weird proggy. Changing lanes is referred to as 'turning'. So even if you have to go in a straight line, you are constantly told to 'turn'. Still, it's better than the previous build. Oh, and the N95 8GB issue with landscape/portait has been solved :)

I have noticed the same. I have no explanation, as I have just found this soft myself without comments. All I have to go by is the fact that the certificate is new and bugs are fixed = new version :)

Yes that's right. Or there must be someone who has a working DLL again for this version. This Version is in my opinium bugfree. I tryed a lot of details. It doesnt freeze anymore. The voice don't sound like an echo anymore and the search function is working great again. So hopefully whe wil have a keygen or good DLL soon.

If you already got a serial from the Russians, it will work fine with the latest build as well. Nothing seems to have changed regarding the registration.

I use a Nokia N73 mobile telephone and have installed Sygic mobile. The installation worked without problems and I could configure the programme. At the next start, then stood: Sygic mobile: To little memory! Close other programmes and they try it once more.
But I have no other programmes run. Does the memory of the Nokia N73 not reach for Sygic?

You can try this - in SETTINGS.INI change "memory=high" to "memory=low"

I've tried the version 7.50319 build 0/630D and still have problems searching in (not so) small cities (the same problem of v7.52.)
I've tried to use the unlock code of v.752 (got it from the russian forum) and it apparently worked. Without restrictions of date. This detail might help someone.

i have installed the new version 7.50.319 and now the shortcut wont come up in Applications folder, i have to navigate to the sygic folder and open the Drive.exe to run the program now, anyone know how i can get the icon back in the Applications folder? I have tried to add the Drive.exe program to the directory /sys/bin where all the other application shortcuts are kept but it doesn't work with the newer version of sygic installed. I'm using Nokia n95 8GB, any suggestions?

Try to run the .sis file that comes in the root folder. It installs the shortcut (worked here with my N95).

I had exactly the same simptom (N80). What I did was:
In Dirive/Symbian/Menu.ini change menu.settings.rotate=0 to 1
In the same folder deleted the old setting.dat

After the restart I had the screen Ok with the rotate option.

Version 7.50.319 seems to have fixed the searching of cities in the UK map - however it has not fixed the problem of searching for postcodes. There are many postcodes which you cannot search for them, but if you browse through the list they are there.

Use Ov2Upi Translator 2.3 to convert TomTom poi, place the UPI file in map(that you use) folder and the icons in Icons folder . Select in setting to show all and you'll see them.

Am running Sygic v7.50 rel 225 on my Nokia E51 more or less normally. But in no way i can upgrade to rel 319 (link to rapidshare posted above). In rel 225 thereis a folder 2577, which i don't see within 319 files - should it be removed or left as it is. Also the sequence of removing of other files from 225 (sygic sis file installed first, then other files/folders jusr to replaced or....
Every attemt here finishes with SD card starting with 3-4 applications - other are not starting. Other ones i can see as installed, but i need to reinstall them once again to get them working normally. Smth is wrong with file drive.exe exchange in sys/bin, i mean deleting from 225 and replacing with one from 319 - then it crashes.

Go to folder drive/symbian and delete the file named "setting.dat". Do not delete the file "settings.ini",or better, you can download the file provided by me at page 28 and replace the one you have. It will be a function in menu "rotate screen" very useful.
